My order was on UberEATS , the food was really well packet. I had the wood fire roast chicken , and it was amazing with a creamy Peri-Peri sauce and it was really moist and juicy.
The best ribs in town. Been to 4 places on the search for the best and Danilos has it! Highly recommended! The owner is hands on, couldn't ask for a better experience
Ordered takeout from here a few times now. Food is nicely packaged and offers great value. Steak is always good quality. Chicken was average and there was too much of a "wine" alcohol after taste.. will definitely eat from here again though...
I've heard about this place for some time and we finally had the opportunity to dine here. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I wish we had come here sooner! I ordered the pasta mafiosa al forno and it was excellent. The gnocchi with Gorgonzola was especially nice. Their pizzas are also delicious—we had the Hawaiian and bacon and feta. Looking forward to going back and trying other things.
We love coming to danilos , the food is always consistent and delicious - I would recommend trying the veal and the melenzane. The pizzas are great too. The service is good and the manager always comes up to our table to check if everything is good. You get faccacia bread to start for free instead of bread rolls- this is a winner !!

What a gem. Waiters are great and the food is better. Had a bacon, feta and avo pizza. Very good.
We had a special buffet breakfast for our year end function, and it was a lovely atmosphere. The food was really good, especially considering it had been sitting in the bain maries for a bit before we ate. Understandably, the toast was a little soggy, but had been buttered before and was very tasty. The assortment of breakfast items was amazing, and it was really all yummy. I particularly enjoyed the toasted tomatoes, and the mushrooms.
We will have to try the proper menu as I am sure it would be just as good.
Have been eating at Danilo's for over a decade, and it just keeps getting better. Same friendly faces, warm service, and authentic, inviting food! My wife has ordered the same dish once a week for 4 years now (can't argue with that). As long as we're in the Vale, we'll keep eating Danilo's awesome Italian food!

When arriving I noticed the fire place, I already like it... Atlas (the waiter) seated us. right away I noticed "long Island iced tea" let's do that... made the only way with lime and not sour mash.
I decided to go for the buffet and tasted a bit of everything.. Bee had their Pollo pasta alforno, decicious...The kids went for Pizza.. there is nothing I can say but their food is amazing...
Expensive for nice home style cuisine. Wine well priced with good service. Decor dated and a facelift with less than Sandton prices will fill this venue up again.
After reading a couple of reviews on Zomato about this place I decided to give it a try. The ambiance of the restaurant really feels authentically Italian and has the homely feel as well.
I noticed that on a Tuesday and Wednesday they have a 25% off pizzas and pastas so decided to go with my standard bacon, feta & Avo
The pizza was cooked perfectly and was hot right till the end. Perfect!
All in all a good spot and noticed a lot of regulars greeting the waiters like long lost friends, which I am assuming means that loads of families frequent here.
I'm sure I'll be back!
I always love coming here, but even more so in winter to enjoy the large fireplace. Food is always up to standard and prices are more than reasonable.
This hidden gem of a restaurant is tucked away and easily missed which is a shame. The spacious layout makes it ideal for any function, family gathering, quick lunch or dinner. The decor takes you straight to Italy and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The service is swift, friendly and professional, the owner even made a turn at our table. The food is well presented and came out in a timely manner. The pizza was simply awesome with a thin crust and well balanced topping ratio. If you are in Edenvale I highly recommend paying Danilos a visit.

Such a great little Italian spot hidden away in Edenvale. The restaurant is cosy and they have a nice big fireplace for chilly winter nights. They also give you some complimentary herby focaccia which was quite a nice touch.
We ordered the ravioli which was very good. The veal mince inside was alright, a bit too mushy for my liking and nothing extraordinary, but the pasta and sauce was very tasty and full of flavour. They could have just served it as a tomato based sauce instead of the bolognaise sauce and it would have been excellent, as I think the extra mince was a bit much.
We also had the Pollo Pasta Alforno which was delicious. The Napoli sauce was rich and full of flavour, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the cheese on top was divine. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough of the tasty chicken! The portions overall are huge and we ended up taking half of each of our dishes home. We will definitely be back for their 25% off special on Mondays and Tuesday's to try their pizzas.
Despite having lived in the area for years, we'd just never gotten around to eating at Danilo's. We popped in for lunch yesterday and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was empty at lunchtime, apart from one other table but the fireplace was crackling and warm and service was reasonably snappy.
The food, however, stole the show - as it should in a good restaurant. I ordered the carbonara with fettuccine and my partner ordered the spaghetti bolognaise. The pasta was cooked al dente, the carbonara was creamy, tasty and jam-packed with bacon. The bolognaise was flavorful and portions sizes are generous.
There is no doubt we'll be returning - definitely lots more on the menu for us to try!

Really quaint place tucked away in edenvale... Been here for ages and had many a sit down and take away meal, always friendly and tasty😁 we love the take away pizza and pasta... Have a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and always nice and busy! A must try!
Went there a few times for my birthday. Fireplace Is cool. Welcome you always. Good service. Beautiful restaurant. Romantic restaurant. Pizza's cheap and have great specials and so worth every bite. Steak are great.
A comfortable family restaurant. Well priced with good, hearty Italian food and a good view that overlooks the east of Johannesburg. I recommend the carbonara.
Danilo's Trattoria is one of the best value for money restaurants around. The restaurant has a simple yet warm family feel about it and the service is very good. The pizzas are absolutely delicious and very well priced.Certainly worth giving a try if you're ever in Edenvale.
Fabulous authentic Italian restaurant. Our go-to pizza place. If you feel like pasta I highly recommend the Mafioso.....amazing. The staff are well trained and offer excellent service, management is always in sight and hands on.
In my opinion, Danilos is one of the most under-rated
restaurants in the East Rand. The ambiance is friendly and inviting. The service is
always with a smile. But at the end of the day, the reason I go to a restaurant
is for the food. Danilos has some of the best dishes around. As a massive
pizza lover, there must be close to 20 Pizza places in a 6km radius and Danilos
beats them all hands down. When people ask "me where did you get this
pizza from", and I tell them it’s from Danilos, they look at me
dumb-founded.
It’s surprising (and sad) that residents from the area will rather order
pizza from Debonairs, than walk up one flight of stairs to Danilos. Where the
prices are similar, the taste is incredible and the quality is a lot more
superior. Also as a red meat fanatic, Danilos does it RIGHT! Their
Rump steak is amazing. Better than a lot of the upmarket, larny steakhouses
around Joburg...
Nice family Italian restaurant, quite an extensive menu. Tues and Wed is 25% off pizzas and pastas so thats a win. The service is really good and they make you feel really welcome. The food is good value for money.
Our favourite Italian family restaurant. We've never had a bad meal and we go there REALLY regularly and have been for MANY years. The service, sangria and food are all consistently good. The waiters are excellent (especially Atlas!) and the kids love the fact that they get dough and dessert with the kiddies meal.
The pizzas and pastas here are really great. I had the Sunday buffet once and did not really enjoy it and felt the dishes weren't fresh and tasty.
This restaurant has now become quite reputable within the Edenvale community. This family restaurant is situated up stairs in the open shopping centre and is well equipped with a large fireplace for those cold days. You can enjoy a lovely wood burning pizza here. Don't forget about their specials on mondays and tuesdays!
The pasta dishes are very good quality and flavourful including the gnocchi substitutions. The mushroom del bosco dish is definitely unique to this restaurant and you will not be able to get enough of it! Probably one of the best places to have gnocchi in Joburg - soft as butter!
Overall this restaurant is consistent and always welcoming. Enjoy the view of th@e city.

Thank you Fahrenheit for the lovely birthday and yet another amazing meal. The waiter Bheki was hospitable and prompt. The hostess was super accommodating and pleasant. The atmosphere was perfect. Only thing I would say I would change is the chocolate mousse, I prefer it airy and fluffy but otherwise food wise it was amazing!
They have a lovely steak special on Monday evening for R100. A juicy 400g sirloin and a choice of side. A lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Would recommend going for a warm cozy and chique feel.
We celebrated an early Father’s Day and birthday at your restaurant today and absolutely had THE BEST time! Four of us shared the Shellfish Platter for 2, together with extra rice, a large Greek salad and onion rings. By far the best seafood around the Kempton area. Dessert varied from Creme Brûlée to chocolate mousse and a spectacular serving of the Crepe Suzette! Our waiter, Elvis, was a super star and so attentive to our every need. We will be back, for sure. Well done.

1st visit back since the fire, beautifully redone.
Stopped on a Monday to have a look at the private dining hall as we will be hosting a 16th birthday party here, might as well chow down is what I said.
The Monday special is a lovely juicy steak sirloin with a choice of your sides for only R99, and at 400g - what a steal!
Wet dry aged, it was amazing. Soft and tender.
Ambiance was cozy even during the middle of the day.
Service was on point too.

Food was amazing as well as the service. They had the biggest king prawn plate I've ever seen,no wonder they are a seafood restaurant. I enjoyed the prawns, the cocktail not so much.

We decided on a random dinner out, tried out Fahrenheit for the first time. The newly renovated restaurant is beautiful, with timber finishes everywhere, and very tasteful decor.

Lovely outdoor patio area with pizza making for kids. But the experience really is sitting inside…feels very much like being in a five star Sandton restaurant.
Kids menu prices are reasonable, they had spaghetti bolognaise and were delighted by it. (R55)

Chicken was a bit dry… but well seasoned and charred.
Fish was juicy and soft, two good size hake was served. Chips were a bit bland, veggies are veggies😂.
Play area is large, with shade net for cover but not waterproof. Kids love it wet or dry anyways. 😘

The service is out of this world, the food is amazing and the atmosphere incredible. I love that it’s also family friendly and has an awesome play area for kids. Andile our waiter was amazing, but what was even more impressive was how all the staff members worked together as a cohesive unit, this certainly enhanced our experience and contributed to my 5-star rating!!! Such a wonderful establishment to go to. The food here is outstanding, the staff are just absolutely incredible and kyle the manager is so helpful and warm. The ladies in the kids section are so amazing and take excetional care of the little ones. We absolutely love going here for any occasions and also to just pop in for a lunch and now a weekend brekky.

Highly recommend the Atomic full chicken mozambique style, grilled with peri peri .Super hot but lots of flavor with crisp onion rings and rice. Huge portions..enough for 2 more meals. Accompanied with Nederburg Merlot which worked really well.
Partner had pan fried steak medium rare with mixed ,baked vegetables with mashed potato and crushed garlic. Superb . A cold miller's beer to go with.
Finished off with a medium cream sherry, tia maria and stunning malva pudding and cream. All just R689 . Great value - super experience - delicious food.Wonderful Friday

The food gets better everytime. What I love is the Kiddie section. I was going to check on my kids, and the lady was like: Go and enjoy your meal mam. That is great cause sometimes we really need to go out and enjoy our food. I really loved that. That adds to the overall value for money and dining experience. The service is good. Overall the place is fantastic.
Hosted my daughter’s 6th birthday party at the Edenvale restaurant. Everything was done to perfection from the booking to the day we had the party. The staff was very friendly and very very helpful. The service was exceptional. The play area was clean and the ladies who were helping the kids were very friendly. The food from the pizzas to the chicken was excellent. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend it.

The food is more fine dining than just a normal steakhouse. It's very good food but a little pricey. The restaurant has been renovated and looks very nice inside. It's cozy and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a really nice restaurant.
