Review Good Fellas Pizzaria - Edenvale

We are locals in the area and absolutely love the food from Goodfellas, both pizza and pasta. The service is great, the food is delicious! Definitely my favourite spot for pizza.

Great in all regards. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are all smiles. The food is amazing, I personally recommend the Faro if you enjoy spare rib on your pizza

Was informed of this place in a casual chat re "good food". This friend told me of this quant place to go try and I wouldn't regret the food. Pizza and pasta (some vegetarian ugh) and friendly staff. There are 4 places that are easier to get too regarding pizza (for me from my home)... This place is SO worth the less direct route/traffic (I dislike traffic). The staff are friendly, clients I've come across are like family to the owners, based on the interaction.

I have tried almost every pizza place in the area and Goodfellas really outdoes the rest. Their food never disappoints, no matter what I order and the staff and owner are always friendly. Would highly recommend!

There hasn’t been a time where I’ve been disappointed with my meal at Goodfellas. I’ve had my fair share of pizzas around JHB and Goodfellas by far tops the charts. Len is an absolute machine, his kindness and passion for excellence undoubtedly comes through in his service. Len and the Goodfellas staff, you guys are absolutely awesome!!

Really nice place to go when you want quick but quality pizza. They offer such a variety and also accommodate for those who don’t eat gluten and those on a Banting diet. Surprisingly, their chicken mayonnaise salad is pretty much my favourite salad of all time !

A bit of drive, but worth the experience - great pizza and great service!They have a classic feel and given that I am a huge fan of the film history - I think they have created a very nice home for themselves and the frequency of what appears to be loyal customers gives testament to the quality that they deliver consistently.

I have been coming to this takeaway for 20 years now and I can easily say their Mexicana is my favourite pizza of all time I highly recommend it!

Still the best pizza in town. Our number one choice for Friday night take outs. The owner and staff are always friendly. Their wood fire oven pizzas are always great and reasonably priced. They also often great gluten free options and their cauliflower base is Delicious.  Their Mexicana is my great if you like a little spice.

Regularly buy pizza here. Great selection of pizza, vegetarian options too. Fresh ingredients and a wood burning oven to finish it off. Pizza is packed with flavour and the staff and owner are always super friendly. Definitely get pizza here.

Friendly owner and staff coupled with reasonably priced pizzas for take-aways on a regular basis. Our real convenience  is that its two minutes from home. Pizza's never take longer than  10 to 15 minutes with consistent quality.

Reasonable priced and reasonably sized pizzas that unfortunately is not the "amazing" pizza the menu builds it up to be. It is good, but nothing spectacular. Again I ask, where is that killer pizza in Edenvale?

Lovely pizza place in Dowerglen. The owner is friendly and the place feels quite inviting. Not a great place to sit and eat but definitely convenient for take aways.<br/><br/>We had the chicken mayo pizza which was pretty good (mimmos still makes them the best). I did enjoy the addition of mushrooms on it. We also had the goodfellas filler which was cheesy and tasty, my only complaint is that it lacked saltiness. Otherwise I am keen to go back and try the other pizzas on the menu.

My favorite pizza restaurant! The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly! The vibe is ok but I get takeaway as there is no real place to sit down. There is a table with 2 chears in side and one outside. But for takeaway its the best pizza restaurant out there!

Good Fellas is still one of the Edenval go-to spots for take-away pizza. They have been producing great pizza for many years and will hopefully continue for many years to come. With that said I must say that there has been a slight deterioration in the service since Adam is no longer at the shop all the time. I'm not sure if he sold the pizzeria or if he has just stepped back but the service has deteriorated. I've had a few orders that have been messed up recently.

Excellent wood fired oven pizza. We live right down the road from here and we call and order beforehand. Ten minutes later we go and pick up the pizza which is ready, fresh and tasty. Great service, great value and great pizza.

My boyfriend ordered pizza for dinner one night. I asked for a margerita with ham and avo. I was quite disappointed and slightly repulsed to find avocado puree on my pizza (this was a first and most definitely a last for me). I'm assuming the reason for pureeing is to add agents like lemon juice to keep the avo longer. This does not appeal to me - won't be back.

If it's traditional wood oven baked pizza you're after, then Good Fellas is the place to go. Mouth watering pizza all the time! Great place for a dinner date with the girlfriends!

Excellent traditional wood fired pizzas. Fresh ingredients are the be all and end all of good pizzas and Good Fellas certainly follows through in this regard.

Best dam chicken mayo pizza I've had. Made the proper in oven way from strach. Nom nom nom 😀👌 I'm a big pizza fan and this was top notch, right up there with the best! The wait time is quite long though, but the quality is worth it.

By far and away the best local pizza joint, ever. Bar none. Thin and crispy crust, generous toppings and reasonable prices. Nothing else to say - the pizzas do just speak for themselves.

Goodfellas is my Favorite local pizza joint. The menu has a large range of pizzas with chicken, pork, beef, and veg. You can even make your own. They also serve pasta's. Do try if you're in the area! It's a family must do for weekend easy living.

Proper Italian Pizza made in a wood burning oven. Crispy thin base, and wholesome ingredients. They even have a banting and gluten free pizza base.<br/>The service is friendly and efficient.<br/>When ever i am in the mood for pizza they definitely are the place to go this side of town.

As good as it gets for takeaway pizza. Delivery wait time can be excessive though, so go and collect and meet the friendly staff. There's also a pinball machine if you have a really a long wait. Recommend the four seasons :)

Best pizza this side of the vale. Thin base wood fired pizzas with generous topping. The meat pizzas are great and I have yet to be let down with any choice of pizza. that goes for the pasta which my wife normally orders. The only word of caution is phone in and come early as the food is so good that the que is normally out the door

This place has been running for years. It is one of the better pizza places in the area. This has always been a family run business and even though it is changed hands it is still very well run - if not better! They use separate utensils for vegetarians so this is always a good thing to see for those of you who have such a concern. The quality of their food is very good.<br/><br/>Try a pizza or pasta and you won't be disappointed.

But... where is my seafood?<br/><br/>We had 4 different pastas and a pizza, and needless to say, the pizza is of a much higher standard than pasta. The pizza has a thin and crunchy base, and a decent amount of filling, albeit nothing spectacular. However, the pasta was small and lack ingredients. The taste of the food was really good, but in my "seafood pasta" I had a whole of 3 mussels. The service is efficient, and the people behind the counter were quite friendly. <br/><br/>Bottomline: Pizza is decent, but don't get the pasta.<br/><br/>Pros: Decent pizza, relatively good price, good taste<br/>Cons: Lack ingredients, small portion
