Friesland Milk Bar is not situated in the best of areas but the Best Milkshake - Fiesta Fruit was my favourite. A Huge shout out to the staff, who waited for us even though they were closing at 5pm. We called to say we were on our way but couldn't make it for 5pm and they waited. Thank you so much,

Everybody raves about this place. I am not a milk shake fan - ordered the banana and found it to be really sweet for my taste buds.
Not only is milk shakes served here but ice cream chips cool drinks and probably more.

The location was relatively empty but the milkshakes were very good.

We had a peanut butter double thick large milkshake and an Oreo double think milkshake. Both were really good. Their ice creams were average, but to be fair we went there for the milkshake. Place looks pretty much like a corner cafe from outside and not a place to sit and have a milkshake. That said

The area is a bit run down, but worth a trip to experience a taste sensation of note. Not one of the flavors disappointed and we went each day on our 3 day trip to the town.

There's a reason it's famous! A multitude of milkshake flavours to choose from that are super tasty and quite well priced. They are a bit on the sweeter side so perhaps consider the smaller shake as it can get quite rich
Friesland is my favourite stop in East London. They specialise in ice cream and milkshakes of a very high standard, at a reasonable price. Splurge and order a double thick milkshake. You won't regret it.
Love visiting here when I come to East London. The service is quick and the staff friendly. Decent variety of milkshakes and ice creams that are both equally delicious. My favourite flavours are the Irish whiskey and the peppermint.
