Review Famous Bean Cafe - Durbanville

First visit. Beautiful layout, warm welcome and equally experienced staff. Tapiwa, waitron, welcomed us with a warm smile, not only gave us a menu, but also elaborated on what the specials of the day were and what delectable treats were available. The coffee, mix ground, from Uganda, Colombia and Brazilia, a true barista knows his coffee was fresh made after we finished lunch. Needless to say, we went through the menu and how wonderful to find not only pictures and prices, but also the ingredients with specified amounts of what most of the food consists of, with the exception of fresh vegetables. We could therefore make a very informed choice of what to order, according to our dietary requirements. This made us seated longer and consumed our total calories accordingly. Well done!! Will definitely visit again.

Firstly enjoyed a full-bodied filter coffee when I got there and later got a takeaway cappuccino (its natural sweetness was out of this world!). I also ordered the Egg Benedict which was delicious (extra seasoning wasn't even necessary) - you won't be disappointed!

The BEST COFFEE SHOP in Durbanville. I use to do their social media, however it stopped in June 2021.

Very quaint café. The service and food was on par. There's a kiddies play park right next door, so its a good place for parents to unwind while being able to keep an eye on the little ones

Food always good; staff are so friendly, always smiling and service is great. Well done to the management as a good attitude and good service comes from the top down.

The coffee was five star. The service was five star. I felt so bad for not leaving a tip that I doubled back to the shop and left a tip. That's how good the experience was

How wonderful to have this gem of a coffee shop away from the hustle and bustle of huge malls. Wonderful and friendly staff who take such good care of you. The coffee is good and breakfast is always a must!

Great food! Especially the Espresso Chicken wrap and the Chicken burger with peppadew and feta. Kids loved the snack basket and milkshakes. (Nice play area for the kids as well) Good quality coffee, but the Belgium waffle stole the show!! Service was quick and friendly. The owner goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy! We will definitely be back soon and can recommend a visit.

Fabulous place. I really hope they make a success of it. We had coffee and cake and were not disappointed. We will be back!!!

Delicious cake and coffee, service is lacking, so not the spot if you are in a hurry, but a nice outing if you have time to spend.

What a lovely find to take someone for tea. Super to sit outside didn't feel like we were in a shopping centre.

Alles was so mooi voorgesit, en al die ‘attention to detail’ - waarvoor ek glad nie gevra óf verwag het, het die oggend net ékstra spesiaal gemaak!! Waardeur al die ekstra moeite, uitstekende diens, behulpsaamheid en vriendelikheid! Baie baie dankie vir alles! �

Awesome food and service. A place to relax and enjoy a meal and excellent coffee. Prices are good to. Real good value. 10 out of 10. Thanks guys.

Special on Sun was finished by 1pm. I got a last dregs portion which really shouldn't have been served and was replaced. The service was very mixed. The whole experience was saved by the attentive barista.

Well supported and now I know why. The food is good and the coffee is great!
