On Saturday I have attended a babyshower at Evertsdal Opstal and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. It is a lovely venue, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food great! We had a lovely time. I would definitely recommend this venue!
What a hidden gem! Beautiful restaurant with a relaxed and cosy ambience, warm and friendly staff and the food is delicious and beautifully presented! Definitely worth a visit!

What a lovely celebration! Thank you for helping to make our friend's babyshower such a happy event. Setting up was a dream and your staff was more than willing to lend a hand and give advice. I found the service perfectly balanced; someone was always there to cater to our needs (never easy to do when 20+ ladies get together), but you never felt watched, crowded or rushed. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

The fireplace, the library, the vintage decor, secret garden, enclosed kids play area, eclectic garden objet d'art, cozy seating areas, leather couches, magical wedding venue, and chickens running around is all one needs to soothe your soul on a sunny morning or a cold winters day.
This is the place where anybody will immediately feel at home. Personal contact with the owners, warm and friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. You will enjoy your experience here regardless of age, race, gender, or the funtion or venue you want or attend. The staff and management have hearts as big as the historical value of Evertsdal Opstal and they will accommodate your needs with happy smiles. Give yourself enough time to enjoy and explore all the wonders it has to offer.
Really a gem --Service was great-good food-lovely garden setting, fantastic veiws--stunning family feel about the place , owners very warm open and friendly.
It is what Durbanvillie needed, a little bit of history opened up on our doorstep.
Would be wonderful if they could open some evenings at a later stage-maybe live entertainment or Theme evenings-such a great venue for this.
I had my baby shower this past Saturday and must compliment the staff on their friendly service and everything that was pre-booked was set up perfectly and on time. We all had the pasta, besides the portions been huge the food was absolutely delicious. This venue will be perfect for any occasion. Well done!
Amazing ambience at a stunning and scenic venue. The staff were warm, welcoming and very hospitable. The food is absolutely delicious, not to mention one of the best cups of coffee as well.
Such a lovely welcome!! Coffee great...cheesecake scrumptious....and the carrot cake scores �!! Add to that the view and the shady garden tables and you have a winner!! We'll be back�

What a gem! Evertsdal Opstal has everything you need in one place. I have been there a few times and just thought that they are worthy of a fantastic 5 star review. The food is always good, with quite a vast variety to choose from, the service is excellent and the girls that work there always have a smile on their face. Stunning setting, with a gorgeous view to look out on. Will definitely recommend this place as it ticks all the boxes.

Cappuccino's a bit on the small side, but nice and tasty. I had the lamb benedict. Nice pulled lamb on sourdough topped with the eggs and a dash of hollandaise. It was very nice, but I think I still prefer the bacon option. Nice old building with a great history.
Came here for my moms 80th breakfast. Great food and service. Very cosy - has a fireplace. They have delicious biscuits for sale and doggie biscuits.
Had a breakfast there and I must say this is definitely a place I would like to visit more often. The food was top class. The view of the mountain and the overall relaxed atmosphere and a space for kids to play is not a combination you can find everywhere.

I would definitely recommend going to Evert Opstal Restaurant. Firstly, the manager was very kind when I called to make a booking. The service in the restaurant was good, and the food was delicious! I would recommend the deli and cheese platter. We shared these two platters (we took the small option), between four people, and it was more than enough, with a very reasonable price.
I have been here before for a kitchen tea, and I would also recommend it as a venue for kitchen teas, baby showers and so on.

Such a hidden gem. Scrumptious pieces of food and the best coffee served in an old building with beautiful chandeliers. The smell of wood burning in the fireplace and coffee roasted just creates a unique atmosphere that is hard to leave.. So you keep on ordering coffee...
Wonderful experience at this beautiful coffee shop - peaceful yet bustling atmosphere. Full farmhouse appeal. The New York cheesecake was delicious. Perfect atmosphere for a catchup chat with a friend or a special occasion get-together.
