Senior afsluitingsfunksie gister: die bediening was uitstekend. Kelners was altyd en heeltyd beskikbaar. Was in afsonderlike lokaal. Die buffet was uitstekend en lekker voorberei. Kosbakke was die heeltyd opgevul/volgemaak.

This is still the best of the best out of all the CB’s! Whomever the blockman is for the Durbanville branch can to magic with any cut. The saturday dinner was apperently just as good! We’ll go back time and again...

Sitting here now for the 1st time. Amazing!!! Waiter is very informative and the french accent is perfect. He makes amazing suggestions. Great beer and if the food is even half as good as he described it it would still be worth the money. Tresor, keep up the good work. You are busy making our evening.

Contrary to some other posts, our food was excellent. Our impression was that the kitchen must be well orhanised to serve a buffet and the a la carte still being outstanding. I had the chatau and delicious is not descriptive enough. The creamed spinach was not overcooked whilst the butternut was perfect too. My friend had the chicken breast which was awesome to. Our friendly waitor was attentative and most efficient. Cattle Baron Durbanville will see us soon again. I can name a number of other eateries who can learn from them.

My girlfriend and I went with her friends to get dinner on a Sunday evening, we had a very enjoyable time there. The only issues I really had was the pricing. We got our food for half price as they run a special on Sunday afternoons, but ordinarily the burger would be R150 which is a decent amount of money considering what you get. Same story with the calamari, we would recommend going when it is a Sunday evening or when they run their half price specials. I had a lime milkshake, which was ok not great. She had a coke which was really small 200ml and was rather expensive considering. Burger was good, nice meat patty with a well done egg and bacon. Overall a nice 3.5/5 burger. Fries were meh, nothing exceptional. Calamari was good, similar to any fish and chips place. Also like 3.5/5. Cost is quite high, except during the specials. Service was very good, waiter was very helpful and polite. Environment was also quite nice, calm and relaxed. It was quite empty when we went to be fair.

The Cattle Baron has old school class and standards, an upscale restaurant that specializes in melt in your mouth steak and starter that tastes like more. I like the personal touch of the chef (Frikkie) coming to my table to ask if I enjoyed the food. Amy (waitress) is brilliant, has a great sense of humor, fast service and completes the full experience.

Was there during the taxi strike so was operating without a full staff compliment. Food was good service friendly and the restaurant itself looks very distinguished.

Had burgers. The beef patties were disappointing because they were not even close to the homemade ones at Sir Loin. So I’m glad I tried them out but I won’t be going back here for burgers. The restaurant looks great, booths everywhere - and a lovely bar area. Saw some specials on draughts. Very nice. Great atmosphere. Might go back to try their pork or beef ribs one day.

This is a really great restaurant with the best quality food and high level of service. Wether it is with the family or date night. Cattle Baron is a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. We especially enjoyed the vegetable sides that come with the meals. Not to mention the prawns. 😉

My daughter and myself treated ourselves to a wonderful time at Cattle Baron once again. Service were excellent. Karen welcomed us at the entrance with a huge smile, and of course Herman's steaks were TOPS. He made me a hot habanero sauce, as I mentioned that I miss a sauce like that on the menu. There simply just aren't a better steak restaurant ever! Thanks Herman for giving us just that.

Living in the Southern Suburbs, one does not often get to Durbanville so I knew I was in for something special when my partner invited me to lunch at Cattle Baron. Now apparently, Cattle Baron Durbanville is not just any old steakhouse. It is the steak house where most business lunches take place and succulent steaks are consumed and downed with delectable glasses of wine. He was right! I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The service was excellent, the ambience was perfect, as was our view of the water and surrounds. I sipped my chilled Chardonnay as I enjoyed a most delicious baby Kingklip with a Prawn sauce and roast potatoes while my partner ploughed into a huge juicy T-Bone. I could not have asked for more at this superb mid-week lunch.

Thank you for great and friendly service. Thank you for the card we received from you for our anniversary. I had the mussels with creamy garlic sauce. Fantastic!! My rolled beef with escargot was perfect. I eat my steaks well done and this was just right, still tasty and not dry. Thank you, will be back and recommend you to anyone

The food was excellent at this location, I had not been to Cattle Baron in many years. The building itself is a bit hidden away and there isn't a lot of parking

Delicious food, great service, wonderful experience! I will definitely be back. I came here with my family last night, and we really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed that there were quite a lot of people, so the vibe was good. The only negative is that the benches at the table we were sitting, were quite worn out, which made the seating a bit uncomfortable. I remember noticing this a few months ago at this restaurant as well. I just think replacing the benches would make the experience even better, even though it was already great. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Definitely 'The Best' Fillet Steak I have ever had. I would recommend the 'The Carpetbagger' to anyone. Perfect portion size and the Steak cooked to Perfection. Thank you Ranon for the Great Service and Perfect recommendations on the menu.

Service was excellent. In my opinion, this is the best value vs quality, I had for a long time. George was our service person and was very knowledgeable. The food was excellent all-round till by the dessert. The big plus for us is that we were able to bring our own selection of wine, making celebrating a birthday a little more economical. Our selection of food included T-Bone med/rare , Pork Belly, Fillet steaks med/well. Served with Blue cheese sauce, onion rings, creamed spinach and butternut. My compliments for the beautiful onion rings which was nice and big and not to oily. My compliments to the chef/s. Oh, I need to mention that we had starters for four, a mixed platter of chicken wings, calamari and mushrooms. Service was quick and we did not need to wait for food. Definitely be back soon. Well done.
