Went back here after many a year... as we were fasting we had no real variety to eat out in Durban... so we decided on an "Old faithful" ..."The Mad Italian"... the pizza I selected was a Margherita with extra olives.. wifey had the zucchini Creamy pasta(actual name forgotten)
Both meals were amazing... really great taste and the freshness could be tasted in every bite... we really enjoyed our meals and thank the young waitress for her over attentiveness and mannerism even though she seemed just out of school. Will be back to try the meat dishes after our fast.
Sheesh, I was surprisingly impressed by the food here, I wasn't expecting it to taste so good. Maybe I should look into an Italy trip if Italian food is this good, but then again I won't need to because The mad Italian half creates the vibe of actually being in a European restaurant. Thanks for the great experience. FYI if you're on a smaller budget though, maybe not this place (but the food and experience might just be worth it)
The best pizza we had in a while. Devine and tasty, one can taste every ingredient and can tell it was prepared with love. We enjoyed good food and service.

Nice setting. Food was good but the service was disappointing. We were a big group and if we had a waiter looking after us, I think he could have doubled there bar bill.

A very cozy and well-run Italian Restaurant in the heart of Durban North. The food is absolutely on-point, with generous servings. All the meals were freshly prepared and the prices are good. Try their cocktails out, as they are also lovely! Virgin cocktails available as well!! Well worth the visit and we are definitely going back!!
Had an amazing bowl of pasta, compliments to the chef. Guy who served us didn't tell us his name neither did he explain to us that his shift would be ending. The girl who took over him didn't tell us her name either nor did she tell us that she was taking over from our previous waiter. There were some other things that I didn't like about the place but I'll keep them to myself...I'll go again some other time and hopefully the 2nd visit will make up for the 1st one.

A small but comfortable place to enjoy heavenly Italian food. With interior designing and music that can take you to Italy and back!
Service was alright, starters took more than 15 minutes to arrive, however it was worth it.
Starters included, prawns, calamari, chicken livers. All were delicious, as were the mains, which included pizza and pasta. Presentation is a bit sloppy, but the taste overides all of that. Compliments to the chef!
Definitely suggest you take a trip to experience this delightful little place. Really good for families.
