I recently visited Cappello Florida Road, after some time of not going there. And I must say I was really surprised on how well trained the staff is. I will put out the person who served us. Thank you so much “MARTIN” you’re definitely the best. Martin made us feel at home, we didn’t look around for anything coz each time you look around he is already looking at you guys for a signal❤️. We were comfy, we were not sure on what to order. But the Pizza suggestion you advised us to take really took the spot, best meal ever. It was the first time being served by such a lovely person, the place is aesthetic and enjoyable❤️ Thank you so much🫶🏽

Went here for a girls night. We were seated quickly and served so warmly by Maria. Our cocktails were well made and tasty, but would've appreciated a 2 for 1 special or something. I loved the music and the Saturday night ambience.

The vibe is beautiful. I tried their ribs and wings with the barbecue sauce. The meat was tender and their sauce is perfect. I was hanging outside. They had those heaters it didn't even feel like I was outside in the Afternoon. You know when you are basking in the sun watching everything that is going on outside,that's exactly the feeling I got. To be having fun whilst seeing beautiful cars and beautiful people. It's in overall a lovely place.

[Review based on visiting the Umhlanga Branch]<br/>It was around lunch time during the festive period (23/12/19)  and it was absolutely QUIET!  The restaurant has a cool vibe, pretty for pictures and is neat however, the service is pathetic. My friend and I both ordered "designated driver drinks". Upon receiving our mocktails, it was so watered down that it literally tasted of diluted juice. I believed that they didn't even make it correctly as it was just full of ice on the top with no way to even put a straw in. The pizza base was extremely thin and we could barely even lift it up. When we asked for the bill, we were billed for normal alcoholic drinks and the waitress said we ordered mojitos  and we didn't. Then she called the manager and he was extremely rude! He insisted that we ordered "Cocktails with alcohol" and said that the bartender made it right in front of him(LIE). I get that if the restaurant was busy the orders could easily have been messed up but it was quite , 2 tables occupied max. The manager needs to understand that they cannot insist they served alcohol when (they actually didn't) and the waitress didn't even apologize. Will not be visiting this place again.

***Review based on the Umhlanga Branch. Visited this place on a Tuesday night with a few friends. It wasn’t busy. Our waitress was rather rude and clueless about the menu. When our food came out, the half a chicken was dry, the calamari main was rather a small portion and the prawn pasta had only 5 small prawns. When we were ready to order dessert, our waitress came back to us twice to advise us that they were out of stock of certain ingredients...after waiting for over half an hour, our desserts came out from the freezer into our plates...by then we were so pissed off with the kitchen and the waitress. We ordered a malva pudding, chocolate volcano and chocolate brownie which all came out frozen - the manager however was very apologetic by this but not our waitress.

Top music & top service at times. Drinks are always good and the Mandela pizza is always a winner. Parking always a problem. Great overall place to hangout at.

Spent a lovely Friday afternoon at Capellos with friends. Cocktails are definitely their specialty abit on the pricer side but worth every penny. Service was awkward not really sure who our waiter was (kept changing) Didn't taste the food but I'll definitely be back for drinks😊

Drinks with the girls are never a bad idea...<br/><br/>Unless you get bad service and start regretting picking that specific spot. <br/><br/>Cappello is known for being a nice place for a relaxed evening out and a wide array of drinks to pick from. The place is stunning and is in an upbeat location. The lounge on the top floor is comfortable, sexy and relaxed. I really love the setup. <br/><br/>Your poison of choice will definitely be on offer. Tip - if you want something and it isn't on the menu ask for it, they probably do have it. They also hire out Hookahs for about R100/R150 so if you fancy that, you will be sorted.<br/><br/>The serious downfall was our waitress. She was clueless, she took forever and was rude, if not condescending. The manager did very little to assist in this.

Popped into this place for a few drinks with the girls & I loved the whole set up of the place (The upper lounge) it was just what we needed !<br/><br/>I however had an issue with the service we received from both the waitress & the manager. The waitress didn't seem to have much knowledge about what the restaurant offered, she didn't seem bothered really it was though we were bothering her by being there. The manager was busy with a table that was filled with his friends, busy chatting up a storm with them even having a few drinks with them. He actually looked like he was having more fun than the actual customers of the place.<br/><br/>My girlfriends enjoyed the bubbly, I loved my cognac, the DJ was playing some great jams !

I took an elderly friend to Cappello's for lunch today, 19th December 2016. This is the very worst lunch I can remember having, anywhere. Fish, chicken were grossly overcooked. Tough. The place is dreadful. And the fact that it was empty should have been our warning: stay away. I am so embarrassed to have subjected my friend to this.

We waited a while for drinks before we got it, we waited a while for before we got that. We heard theres good music and a nice vibe at night, we waited but never got it guys.

Great place. I enjoy the food. Seems like the revamp worked for them. But I really do like the venue. The staff could do with more training and the food could do with a tad bit of a make-over.

The food and service at Cappello isn't great. I also find the layout of the restaurant to be a bit peculiar. We were situated in an area of the restaurant that felt like a pit. The service was very slow and the food was cold at first. Can't see it lasting much longer when it is surrounded by some awesome restaurants on Florida Road.

My babe and I have been here and the food was delicious, we had meat platter with ribs and chops,nice scenery, nice vibe we are definitely coming back here,
