Review Center Court Pavillion - Durban

I've been going here for years. The food is great. The classic dishes don't disappoint. Can get crazy busy. One of my go to places when I want a hearty meal. Whether it's the lamb chops, chicken fillets with that classic basting or the pizza, you're sure to be satisfied and the portions ensure you're full and happy! One of my faves.

Food was prepared as per order. No mishaps with the order. The waiter was friendly. Good customer service and good food.

After hours of shopping, centre court is the cosiest place to eat and unwind. The food here is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the service is absolutely wonderful My absolute favorite is the BBQ pork ribs & veg. Try it 😎🍴

Ate here yesterday after a while and was so highly impressed with the quality of food and standard of service. My mum had a toasted chicken and mayonnaise sandwich and wished it had a bit more Mayo. It was attended to immediately and she was just so happy. The hot drinks and chips were fantastic! Thanks as good service especially is very hard to come by in Durban!

Both Management and staff are very friendly and professional. You get greeted on arrival and are made to feel very welcome. Food is served quickly, presented well and is definitely value for money. The Manager Roger is always visible on the restuarant floor and makes a point of interacting with the customers. He is very polite and definitely a peoples person, the perfect person for the job. He clearly understands customer service. 30 years down the line and the food and service are still as good as the days the doors opened. We will definitely continue to support the restuarant. I've been going to centre court for as long as I can remember. The food is great and I have always received the best service from Patrick. As soon as Patrick sees me he already knows what I want to order. I would highly recommend this restaurant and Patrick.

We celebrated my friend's birthday at Centre Court today. It was so amazing and memorable. After much deliberation on a venue, so glad we chose Centre Court. Staff was so accommodating and welcoming and really went the extra mile to make this occasion super special. Food was delicious and served timeously. Such a great ambiance and we loved the choice of music too! Special mention must be made of Ntokozo our waitress - so friendly, helpful and really went out her way to add that special touch to our celebrations. She made sure that we were comfortable and having a great time. Thank you Ntokozo and Centre Court, you are the BEST.

Food was tasty and waiters were very friendly. They thoroughly sanitise everything once someone leaves. Only issue was that it was quite hot there. It doesn’t look like they have air conditioners

We are frequent visitors. Most of the time the food is good. Love the new deco and reupholstery that's been done, it's about time. The staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful.

Went back after 20 years... Wow!! Looks great! Great ambience. Delicious food... good variety.... something for everyone to enjoy, efficient service, reasonable prices for the portion sizes, friendly staff.... It was overall an awesome experience.

Its a nice place in the mall to sit down and fill your belly. The seafood and avo pizza was great. The rectangular base was cool. I could not finish it all as the portion was big which is always a plus for me because it means hello midnight snacks. Good service too.

Centre court is a restaurant I frequent, mainly because I love a good meal and a relaxed setting after a tiring long day of shopping. I recommend this restaurant because the food is of excellent quality, and the service is great. <br/>at my last trip I had the chicken Alfredo, I find myself always coming back to centre court just for the pasta because it's that delicious. My only complaint is that, on my last visit, my pasta had too much of black pepper for my liking. Aside from that, It was amazing. My boyfriend had a chicken schnitzel with the cheese and mushroom sauce, which I greedily had to taste. It was definitely the best schnitzel I've had, though the sauce was a bit rich for my palate, my boyfriend, however, loved it. <br/>Service was great, with the manager poping by twice to see if we were okay, and the waiter being highly helpful and very funny. <br/>If you go to this restaurant on a weekend or when the pavilion mall is busy, expect a tiny bit of noise, but usually at evening or on a weekday, it's a great relaxing place to dine. <br/>Definitely a Great restaurant for a family night out or a sophisticated yet relaxed lunch. <br/>

Nice food great services also and omg the chicken livers are to die for yummy will definitely come back again overall i was quite happy with everything from the penne pasta to the steak

Have never been disappointed here. Their service is great and the food is good too. The setting is quite pleasant. The decor is nice. Give them a try.

I think if it wasn't for Centre court the Pav would just not be the same. The decors outdated but my kid just loves looking up at himself in the ceiling mirrors and we think it's really cute. I can never make a mistake with the fillet steak with creamy garlic sauce. The coffee is reasonably priced and decent. The saucy chicken breasts are always a favorite with veggies. Wholesome good value for money. I gotta also say the burgers are lovely... Better than most famously branded burger outlets. Divine milkshakes and yummy kids meals. Hey everyone's happy at this place. I also really like their house wine.I must warn you though do not bother with pizza or curry or stirfry. There is just these few things they do not do well.

Centre court has wonderful wholesome meals. I loved the lamb chops with the creamy spinach and butternut! Great atmosphere. Lovely place to be for the whole family!

I've been here many times before. Place used to be lively and vibrant. Staff were friendly and obliging.  It was a place where you could really rest your tired feet after a long day of shopping. It was on Good Friday that we went there after about 4 years.  This place is in a downward spiral. Everything has changed and mind you, it's not for the better.  Most of the waiters were in a bad mood. My son ordered prawns  and was told it was out of stock. I ordered chicken wings and chips, I received only 2 pieces (which is actually one) chicken wings and lots of starchy, greasy chips. Place has become uninspiring and dreary. Don't want to go back.

Dreary experience. Not bad ,but certainly nowhere near good . waitress seemed somewhere else.No announcement of specials. Would have been better served going to the fast food court. Had a Schnitzel that was still soaked in oil when it arrived. Waitress not very attentive.Also they ran out of pasta...in a mall with a number of Grocers... Definitely won't be there again unless forced to.

My experience at Centre Court Westville was by far the worst experience of my life. The waitresses at Centre Court are not very attentive.  We waited a while to get attention from the waitress. my fiancé ordered scrambled eggs and he received a soft egg. We had requested sauces, but the waitress never brought them. We finished the entire meal and not even once did the waitress ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. After we finished our meal we waited at least 30 more minutes for her but she was nowhere to be found. When we asked for the Manager, he was too busy on the phone and sent a training waitress to us. When we first placed our order , she did not mention that we are not allowed to leave with our bottle of wine. I don't know how you expect a person to finish a bottle of wine at around 2 o'clock in the afternoon during the week. When we asked to leave with it, the waitress gave us attitude and tossed a piece paper and plastic for us to pack it ourselves. I can go on and on about the traumatic experience we just had but its just brings more dismay. The rating is 1 and this is being very generous, if there was a negative rating i would definitely rate your outdated resturant below 0.

This place is great. Love the food and I enjoy the atmosphere and the food is creative but always sticking to the basics. Comfortable and warm one of the best places to eat and comfort.

I had a really pleasant experience. Specials are a real bargain and delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed, quiet and comfortable an ideal spot for a quick bite.

An experience of mediocrity. To be honest I'd rather get fast food and eat in the parking lot if the food court were full than condemn myself to the dull dreariness of Centre Court. It has all the ambience of a retirement home or hospital waiting room. Mediocre and inconsistent service (you might get the waitress who looks at you dazed and confused or the waiter who is just kind of bored), same old decor with same old carpet and same old menu with same old options. Food isn't bad but it isn't exactly dazzling. I'd go there if there really were no other option in Pav.

I have no idea how this place could be no. 3 for Durban? ? Seriously, the food is terrible. I used to love their chicken schnitzel with mussel sauce but the past few times I've been there it's been disappointing. The chicken is deep fried to a crisp, the mussels were old and nothing seemed fresh or yummy. Quite disappointing after the years of great service.
