Review Ding Feng - Durban

If you're like me and enjoy authentic Chinese food then Ding Feng is a good solution. The place is safe and the food is as good as we can get around the area. I personally recommend the spicy and sour fish soup and the stir fry beef and flat rice noodles(hor fun). One thing Chinese do when we eat out is to ensure variety. So generally the 3 of us would order at least 4 to 5 dishes and we ❤ it.

A lovely meal at Ding Feng. It was a Thursday evening, and on being told that sushi was half price we decided to mix it up a bit ordering sushi and Chinese - and so glad we did! Kate was our very pleasant waitress. We ordered 4 pieces of each of the following Sushi - Salmon Roses, Salmon Californian Rolls, Tempura Prawn Bamboo Rolls and a portion of Chicken Fried Rice. The sushi was fresh and delicious and very well complimented by the large portion of Chicken fried rice - more than enough food for 2 people to share. You can bring your own wine. We hadnt so wine was ordered from Mamma Luciana's. There is reciprocity between the two restaurants so if Chinese, Thai or sushi is not what you're feeling like you can order Italian from next door and still spend the evening with your party at Ding Feng or vice versa - love this idea! Our meal at Ding Feng was a very very reasonable R150 (excl wine) ... you know when you have to double check your bill to make sure they haven't forgotten to add something. Half price sushi is on every day! Get there ... you'll be glad you did! Recommended.

Sushi is amazing, really enjoyed it, half price is amazing, you get a bang for your buck. Not much to look at but don't let that fool you! A must try, the tempura prawns are brilliant

The place may not look the best,.but the food portions are helluva generous and price is good in comparison to other Chinese food outlets. Food here is very tasty as well.

Can someone please tell me what's days are half price, I have searched the net to try find out, from my past experience, their dishes are really devine

I went here often before, but now with the new owners the sushi is not great anymore. Half price double portions of salmon nagiri - only to find that now you get the thinnest sliver of (slightly discolored at the edges) salmon, laid onto oversized dollops of stodgy rice. Really bad. I will not be going back there.

Best mixed fried rice and prices very reasonable. Tuesday and Thursday half price Sushi and the tempura prawns are by far the best we have eaten in a long time - deco very simple but totally amazing food - well worth a visit
