Very nicely situated with a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and did not take long at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back here.
What a delightful coffee shop in the Windermere Centre .. I was waiting for my mom to have her hair done and sat having coffee - popped out to see if she was done & the lovely young waitress assured me I could go and come back again .. my mom joined me and we had toasted tea cake with large dollops of butter and more coffee. The staff are lovely and very patient with their clientele of whom many are pensioners - it really is a lovely spot.
Had a quick coffee business meeting here and I didn't have any expectations whatsoever. But I must say, the service was attentive without being put on, the food was quite on cue and the atmosphere was pretty much up there as well. Recommended!

Mum and I were @ Windermere Centre towards the end of August,what a pleasure to shop and not very busy,I have a sweet tooth & wanted to treat Mum to Cake and a Drink,well we were so impressed with the Service,the Staff are very polite & friendly & the Carrot Cake was absolutely devine👌🤤
My daughter makes an amazing Carrot Cake but this Carrot Cake was tasty,moist,devine🥰
The Restaurant is very cosy & they have some delish goodies they sell,Jams,Eggs,Brownies aswell as their Food/Drinks on the Menu
Mum bought Brownies for my kids,they loved them
They have an assortment of fresh cakes but as per the waitress,she recommeneded the Carrot Cake in the takeaway packaging,Im a Cafe Mocha fan,it wasnt my fav but I love how they serve it with Choc stick,please do pop in & sample their specialities,you wont be dissappointed 😊

Located in the heart of Windemere Shopping Centre, this bustling yet cosy coffee shops is arguably one of Durban's gems. Consistently delicious light meals (breakfasts, toasted sandwiches and Banting meals too), coffees, teas, confectionery (including the best scones in Durban!), as well as warm, friendly reception & service makes Fortunes Cafe one of the best coffee shops around.
There is a warm friendly atmosphere here, which is further enhanced by kind, friendly staff and delicious food!
Such an amazing place to go and have a great meal and the staff and management are so friendly and always make you so welcome.

Excellent fare in a great atmosphere. It's busy but protocols are observed. I had, believe it or not. Mash and bangers. Wonderful mash. Nice firm texture. And the bangers were tasty and juicy. Peas cooked to perfection. My friend had the basic burger and she was reaching about the patty. A definite hit. By the way, they make Durban's best eggs Benedict. Superb. Wonderful staff and the owner is really hands on. It's great to see. Good job. See you again soon.

Lovey quiet place in the corner. Laid back setup and peaceful atmosphere. Veggie options are always a treat and the waiter always gives useful advice and beautiful service. This place has regulars in me and my husband. Great spot. Keep it up 👍🏾
The food is fresh and delicious. Service is good.. They have little things in the shop you can look around to buy (jams, biscuits etc.) worth the try

Pam was amazing, her service was awesome and efficient, warm and friendly, lovely smile.
I cannot say the same about Astric, unfriendly,she let me stand at the entrance, she just looked at me, did not even nod her head to show that she saw me, did not greet after I sat down, kept on passing me, I am positive the colour of my skin made her uncomfortable.
Pam and the food are the only reason I would go back...

One of my favourites. Lovely place to catch up with friends or yourself after shopping. Friendly staff and well priced. I always order their toasted raisin bun and a pot of tea OR when I have a very sweet tooth I go "wild" and order a scone with jam and cream. They do get busy but one can reserve a table in advance. Simply lovely!
My first visit to this lovely coffee shop. Loved the atmosphere and the food. Our waiter was friendly and so very efficient. Wil definitely be returning to try out more dishes from the menu. 😋
