Very good and wholesome food. I really enjoyed my meal although it took very long to get to our tables. But hey they say good things takes time right😊. I will definitely be back for more. I really love the friendly waitresses and overall had good vibes and a good time.

Great waffles and cakes. Cappuccino was made perfectly and the waiter was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back again. Place was full when we came and had to use the outer seats, it isn’t really private if you want that as people watch you as they enter.

Took my mum there today for coffee. The café had a pleasant vibe. The food was fresh and the cappuccino's we ordered came with hearts in it. Lol. The seats were comfortable and not slouched. Great place!

Food was excellent. Good portions. The non-smoking section although very small, is quite cosy. Dishes are priced well. Service was good.

Average. The vegetarian options need to improve. I also don't like how the indoor portion of the restaurant is a smoking area. Not all of us want to eat as people walk by. The cocktails were nice. The food took a while to come out. Not sure if i would recommend this cafe: the seating situation and variety need to improve

We have been frequent visitors of this establishment since it's opening and we have not been disappointed. The lamb shank is notable however their curry pizzas are a firm favourite. Cocktails are also lovely to enjoy in either the smoking or non-smoking areas.

Good service. The is possibility of excellent service. Food was well cooked, loved the fact management came around to find out how we as customers were.

Butter chicken pizza is my absolute favourite. The lamb dish is a winner. Tried the veggie burger from here as well - this is excellent for when you are fasting- the burger is not dry and boring. The staff are friendly. However the space between tables are very limited and going in numbers can pose a bit of a challenge. During busy times, possible waiting time in the queue for a table could be lengthy. Overall food is great!

The food was too oily, not crumbed properly at all and the waiter never left us cutlery. Overall it was a bad experience I wouldn't come back here.

While walking through the casino we decided to go into Cafe Vigour for some drinks. Their cocktails are well priced and their snack baskets are good. Our waiter was attentive and delivered our requests in good time.

Spicegoddess
Spicegoddess The world through my eyes

Menu
Cafe Vigour Winter Menu
With the onset of winter one craves comfort food and if you are Indian nothing beats a spicy curry to warm you up. Cafe Vigour at Suncoast has taken this into consideration and created a Winter Menu inspired by Durban flavours.

Cafe Vigour is situated in the Suncoast Complex. This Bistro style of coffee shop offers a menu for all tastebuds. This is not fine dining but a casual relaxing eatery. I always tend to ask my waiter/waitress about what specials they have and their most popular dish on their menu. The friendly waitress suggested the popular Butter Chicken or the Prawn Pasta. Now I love Butter Chicken and love cooking this dish. While glancing through the menu which included a variety of Pizzas and wait for it a Mutton Curry and a Butter Chicken pizza.

For starters we decided to share the Vegetarian Basket. Included with two dipping sauces were Crumbed Halloumi, Chinese Spring Rolls and Cheese & Sweetcorn Samosas. All were freshly prepared , hot and crispy. A lil steep at R65 a portion but it was ok to spilt for two.

After a chat with the manager on duty Reshlin I opted for the Butter Chicken. Mum had the Veg Toastie with Chips and a salad. The Butter Chicken is their most popular dish and in May 648 portions were sold. Did I need any more convincing ? NOPE

Verdict ?
Mum enjoyed her Veg Toastie which was filled with Mushrooms,Onions and Cheese. The Toastie is actually a Roti and is stuffed and grilled. The portion was too large so we had to take a doggy bag. Costing R65 for the Toastie and R70 for the Greek Salad. This two could easily be split between two people for a light snack.

Now for my Butter Chicken, the curry portion was HUGE and I did bring home more than half of my meal. The Butter Chicken is served with Basmati Rice or Roti ,Papad ,a veg pickle ,sambals and a yoghurt raita. The fillet chicken was well spiced and was so tender, it is easy to over cook chicken fillet. The sauce was smooth and not too overly spiced. I love that the Basamati Rice was garnished with crispy fried aromatic Curry leaves. Costing R90 a portion and considering the size this dish was well worth it.

To end my meal all I wanted was a coffee BUT was told that there was something special for us to try out. I did not expect what was brought to our table.A thing of beauty
.a foodie freak moment..

This new edition to the Cafe Vigour Menu at Suncoast will be served in a smaller version. Introducing ” Coffee Chocolate Bomb” it is an iced coffee milkshake served with crushed/ whole Oreos , marshmellows, chocolate brownies , fresh cream ,maple syrup, hot chocolate and chocolate crunchie. The perfect way to end a meal. This portion was for two and we did not finish it.At first I thought this would be sickly sweet BUT no it was not.

The actual size is half of this and costs R60 which is well priced and it contains everything mentioned above. #LoveAtFirstBite #CafeVigour #Suncoast

Had the worst experience here at Cafe Vigour...Firstly, they served my dad the R105 linefish that was literally fish mush A.K.A not fresh, even the manager said she doesn't recommended it to customers, then my mom ordered a salad with lentils, but for some reason the chef decided to leave out the lentils and lastly, i had to send my sandwich back 3 times because the kitchen only noticed about 20 minutes after we ordered that they don't have anymore wholewheat bread, then my caramelized onion, basil pesto and mozzarella sandwich turned into a normal cheese and tomato so yes, after an hour and a half at that restaurant i DO NOT recommend it

Was very upset upon my recent visit to Café Vigour at Suncoat, waiters are generally not interested in informing about menus. I had a mix up with my order and the waiter did not apologize at first and made me wait a further half an hour. I WAITED 1 HOUR IN TOTAL FOR A BURGER! After the occurrence, then only she decides to smile, typical. I felt the waiter handled the situation very poorly. Only apologized after my comment on saying " they don't apologise, took the food and walked off". I also heard other clients complaining that they always mix up the order. Very disappointed!

A great waiter makes all the difference, and luckily we were blessed with a very patient one who stood by with a smile as I nervously tried to decide what to eat. Comfortable chairs and a nice environment although the aircon in the smoking section had me shivering a little. I can imagine that the noise from the casino could be a problem at night

I ordered the club sandwich sceptically (been eating toasties all holiday long) but I was seriously impressed with this one
Just enough mayo, just enough chicken, just enough bacon served with chips (which were pretty amazing too).
A bit of an odd situation right next to the casino but the menu is worth it, top notch.
My boyfriend's cat also enjoyed the sandwhich after stealing my doggy bag when I got home and devouring my leftovers

Really lovely, great service and help regarding food choice. The menu is unique combining modern and traditional breakfasts ! Really enjoyed the bacon and banana waffel and my girlfriend really enjoyed her club sandwich which looked great. Food presentation is very nice and the furnishing is devine even more so in the smoking area oddly enough. To sum up its just a good choice for a nice breakfast.
The Sweet- Tasting Good Life
Food is average. Service is sluggishly poor and menu is uninspired. Had the chicken which was very dry and the curdled mushroom sauce tasted store bought. Proximity to noisy casino is disruptive. I'll pass next time.

A casual cafe inside Suncoast that also serves light meals, has a dessert harvest table and ice cream bar.

I went by for midweek lunch and really enjoyed their veg snack basket, butternut beet salad was a bit of a miss for me because of too much red onion and it was far too cold.

Waffles are pretty good, soft and fluffy with all additions served on the side instead of on top. Milkshakes are extra extra thick and creamy and all cake slices are Chateau Gateaux.

Nice spot in Suncoast to stop for a quick nibble and people watch. Service is quick, attentive and friendly.

Lovely place in Suncoast Casino, been here a few times. Small menu but everything is prepared to perfection....the butternut & potato mash that accompanied my lamb chops was delicious. Very good service as well.
