Review Spoonful Eatery - Durban

Fitting that this would replace the old Glenwood Restaurant. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, it wasn't busy but not too quiet either. Our server was Ross but we called him Dave because he didn't look like a Ross. Dave didn't mind, he said his dad and grandads names were Dave. Good man that Dave. Anyway, I ordered the Hulk vegan burger and my better half ordered the vegan falafel burger. Didn't take long before we were accosted by these huge monuments to vegetarian food. The portions are wildly huge for the R70 you pay with sides I might add. The burger was utterly amazing. Crisp bun and burger, fresh greens and salad. Best vegan meal I have come across in Durban. Lovely new look, fresh colors and new staff. Thank you Dave! We'll be seeing you soon! 😁

Open aired house type restaurant: comfortable setting and very attentive staff. The breakfast bunny was a genius combination of traditional bacon egg cheese bun with traditional Durban Indian curry, thoroughly enjoyable

Unique and cosy, with great food. Loads of flavour with good value. Its just off the main road in glenwood, which makes it accessible but quaint and it is a bit of a treasure for those in the know.

Gorgeous relaxed setting - the fairy lights in the garden gave it a magical feeling. I had the delicious Calamari main for dinner. It was a very generous portion, and there is a great selection of sides to choose from. Great cocktails and Dom Pedro's as well. Try the MojiTea and the Amarula and salted caramel Dom Pedro. Definitely going back!

Great venue, food off the menu is awesome and they do a Sunday lunch with lamb on the spit which was just delicious
