I rate this as the best Chinese food place in Durban. Their food has been consistently good since the early 90s.
Prep time for meals is fast for both dine in and take away.
Take away meals usually have bigger portions than the same meal if you were sitting down.
If you want variety without killing your pocket, you can order their set meals which has 5 or 6 items.
Prices are a little higher than most other take away establishments but dine in prices are not too expensive.
I have been eating here for many years and have never been disappointed by the quality. I keep going back because it's a taste I know I will get time and time again.

Atmosphere was super chilled, peaceful. Food was best chinese we have tasted. Had 3 different meals. All amazing . The teenagers could not stop raving about the sweet and sour chicken. Service efficient

Superb Chinese dining - the best in Durban by far. Safe parking, relaxed atmosphere and really good friendly service. Great 4-dish meal for R120. Comprehensive menu and no problem adjusting a few things here and there to make you happy. Worth the drive just for the spring rolls. Simply a great place to eat Chinese - that's it!

Excellent food. I haven't tried the seated restaurant before but we often get takeaway. My Dad loves the beef chow mein π. The way they make it is so different from other places. Its saucy and delicious. It seems to serve the most authentic Chinese cuisine. I love the chicken fried noodles with extra chilli πΆοΈπΆοΈ. I'm Indian after all and no meal is complete without a little spice π. Portions are always very generous and the service is friendly. We've been customers for over 10years and the quality of food has not changed. The chicken spring rolls are a must try and a fortune cookie or two π

Was very disappointed with the beef chow mein. Hardly any greens, soy sauce was over powering and definitely not value for money. Overly priced.

This restaurant is really a great experience. The food is absolutely fantastic the atmosphere is brilliant and the service is on point. I have never had such lovely Chinese food in Durban, I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking forward to a amazing time.

Well Tong Lok is a franchise outlet. The takeaway portions are smaller than the sit in portions although the same price. The Chinese food is good. I love their Tom yum soup π π₯£ π² especially during cold weather months. Service is good. Food good, atmosphere good and Restuarant decor like most Chinese restaurants

New management. AVOID!<br/>Terrible. Stodgy lukewarm spring roll. Sushi tiny thin 1mm sliver of salmon on nigiri. Revolting olive green bit of wasabi smeared on the side leaking green fluid. Weirdly tangy soy sauce was it off. Gross aftertaste. Even the Coke tasted off. I. Will. Not. Go. Back. There. Again.

A quaint restaurant, with awesome sushi. Awesome half price specials for sushi on Thursdays. <br/><br/>Client service is not the best, waiters are very nice however are not familiar with the proper etiquette with regards to service of clients.<br/><br/>Dining in was not a pleasant experience however when I purchase their food as a take away, same results in an awesome night and satisfied pallets.

The restaurant seating was to the best of my liking, walked in to that warm chinese scent and smiles. Food was great, delicious and fast. Prices are so reasonable.<br/>would have been 5 stars if your waitress was energetic and lively.

This has been my go to Chinese takeout for years, Even though its about 45 mins away, its so worth the drive. I've tried most of the noodle and rice dishes. Not a fan of Sushi so I haven't tried that. My favourites are the Cantonese Steak, Pork Dumplings and Deep Fried Wontons...The portions are huge, I generally eat it twice. The dumplings and wontons are big and filling so that can also serve as a full meal..

Called in to order and collect. Order was ready in the advised time 10-15 minutes. The food (got their Chicken chow mein) was however just average. Will probably try something different next time.

Tried something new today. Went to Tong Lok and instead of ordering my usual Chinese fav, a friend recommended I try their Prawn & Chicken fried noodles. WOWπ³!! I wasn't expecting it to taste so good! Loved the flavor and the portion size. Everything just went so well in that dish. I recommend this place and their food.
