Review Village Table - Durban

I've been wanting to go Village Table for ages, I finally did it, and absolutely no regrets. My family and I ordered off the 3 course menu for R189 pp. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, and the portions were just right. The half baby chicken, hake, and brandy mushroom sauce is a must try.

Food was delicious. The restaurant is located inside The Pearls Mall, hidden from a lot of clients.

Visited as part of a group of about 40 people. I can say that from arrival to until we left the service was excellent. The food, although tasty, came in very small portions, which did not match the R550/head (excl drinks) charged. Glad I had the experience there but not sure I would be back soon!

Their food was mouth-watering, their service was great, they were playing nice music and I'm definitely coming back for your mixed berries smoothie!! I enjoyed the hospitality there. Big-up guys. Our bookings were done by Bongi and our waiter was a white gentleman who served us great. That man deserves a Managers position!

Located at Pearls of Umhlanga. Good quality food and beverages on the offer, attentive service, friendly atmosphere. Could be more careful though when handing hot plates over to the customers.

Wonderful nature themed restaurant. High quality meals for sure. Spices feta crostini had a nice kick. Duck confi is amazing, compliments to the chef. Amazing fresh oysters and soft cheesy pizzas. Great experience.

If you are looking for a beautiful setting with great service and fantastic food… you will be pleasantly surprised to find out that The Village Table has it all. From the moment you walk in you feel at perfect ease surrounded by plants and cozy couch nooks, but also quite zen … well thought out attention to detail. Excellent service from our waitron who never allowed our wine glass to get empty. We ordered starters which were presented beautifully and utterly delicious… Really enjoyable and recommended highly ♥️

when ordering from the lunch menu stay away from pork dish,horrible was sour .The waiters are a pleasure ,the vibes and decor of the place is exceptional .Normally have breakfast which is well presented and very tasty .Great presentation of food .I would recommend this place for staff parties etc.

It has a beautiful setup. Great for hosting celebrations. I recommended it to my relative for her upcoming birthday dinner. Our waiter was Slu, she was very helpful with sharing information about the booking procedure. I asked her to run me through the main menu & wine list. What's her recommendation, what's popular? Though I would of preferred fries then veggies. Compliments to the chefs👌🏾, the meat was tender, both the half chicken and the pork. The food plating was excellent as well. Excellent staff as well.

I don’t ever post incremental reviews but today that’s about to change! I know that I love the food here from past experiences but the vibe is incredible and the service matches both the food AND the vibe.

What a fabulous experience! I had a few hours to kill before going to the airport and stumbled upon this incredible restaurant. I don't often eat out but I was absolutely blown away with the yumminess they had to offer. I dined on my own and really felt so taken care of by the manager as well as all of the staff. I highly recommend going here

Village table is definitely one my favourite restaurants in Umhlanga Rocks, it took me a while to take to it, however once I started exploring the menu I didn't stop. It's a usual breakfast spot for my partner and I. We've only ever had one terrible experience where we were in a rush and food was not served on time. However the manager ensured that we were happy customers before we left. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly as well. If you want to taste AUTHENTIC prawns then village table is the place to go. Although its my common breakfast favourite, it's now certainly my go to prawn restaurant. The prawns are meaty! And overall delicious. I always order both the Peri Peri sauce as well as the lemon and butter sauce just to balance it out. My drinks are always virgin and there's a variety of vegetarian meals on the menu. I highly recommend the omelette with tomatoes and cheddar cheese. My partner also loves the mince omelette and orders it on most visits If you get bad customer service, I do assure you that it would be made up for by the manager. The setting is cool, the ambience is fab and the food is value for money.

Amazing service, beautiful place and good food

Had an awesome experience, booked for 5 course dinner. Everything was Devine, from the welcome drinks...to the food...the dessert, everything was well planned. The music, the ambiance, loved the set up of restaurant everything put well together. Friendly staff... We were really taken care of, it's a must go fine dining restaurant.
