Review Comida - Durban

I ordered via a delivery app so cannot comment to service and atmosphere of the place, but the food tasted great. Good portions and value for money too. We ordered a mageritta pizza, a fish dish, a prawn starter and a lamb and mint pizza. All was good!

chose something simple, but it ended up being classified as gourmet! the most delicious spaghetti bolognaise I ever ate. Definitely ordering again! Takeaway was well packaged and the portion could feed 2. well worth the price.

Just had thee most delicious prawn pasta, half creamy half spicy that met my long-standing craving. Think my brilliant waiter who referred this to me was Siya. Definitely going to have him guide me at my next visit #repeatcustomer

Very chilled vibes, staff and manager. Food surpassed our expectations, from starter, to drinks to main meals. Will definitely be returning ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

Excellent food and service. Food is served fresh and piping hot. Starters was Di Casa prawns in an arabiatia sauce served with garlic foccaccia. Pizza was an authentic Italian style woodfire with half chicken and barbecue steak topping.Base was crispy thin. Drinks mocktails.

Lovely little restaurant with a big tasty menu. Well priced and the portion sizing is great. The homemade chilli sauce is a must if you love a bit of a bite. I visited during the day but can imagine that it would be a great place for dinner with friends.

Let's not waste time with unnecessary information about this and that. Let's just get straight to the point of this review and that's to review this restaurant and share my experience there. So without wasting any time let me say that the dishes arrived quickly and both the burger and pasta we ordered were really good. A pretty legit experience all around. Only possible negative I can think of is that the manager was giving me sus looks as a I gulped down 2 glasses of water in the space of about 20 seconds but that's because I hadn't drank water since the day before and it was starting to mess my stomach up so I needed to drink some H2O real quick. Honestly he looked kinda concerned so maybe he was just worried about my wellbeing in which case my opinion of this establishment has increased tenfold maybe even elevenfold.

Brilliant food, mostly burgers, pastas and pizza. a bit pricey but worth it all. Don't quite remember what I ordered but it was very tasty. Chips were fantastic and so was the service. Great place to bring family or friends. Seating space is also available outside. Giving it 4 stars as I was disappointed because there was a hair in my sauce.

Lovely little place to chill & indulge in some good food. Service from Management & Staff is impeccable. Ordered a Potato Pizza as a starter & Fillet Steak, Mushroom Sauce with a side of pasta. Food was divine as usual.

Never disappointed here with my meals. Best pizzas and burgers. Manager always welcomes you with a warm smile and greeting.

The beef burgers are amazing! My personal favourite requires a small edit, the Cheetah with extra onion marmalade instead of regular onions!

Food 3.5/5
Service 4/5
Overall 4/5

Great place for a quick bite. The garlic focaccasia and the chicken strip were a good choice and very good.

Various options to choose from. Owner was very generous and accommodating.

First time they opened and looked very quiet so we decided to buy 2 pastas for takeaway and take it back to work. The pastas was fresh and it was the only veg pasta on the menu with mushrooms and napolatana sauce. Im not a vegetarian but that day I felt like eating a veg pasta. Actually 2 people can eat 1 meal as the portions are big. So we decided to go here for our Christmas year end and the food amazed us again.

Caprese pizza is a winner for me ๐Ÿ˜Š chicken strips are always crisp n fresh! The orange and green sauces are theee best in durban. Lovely spot with all the food joints surrounding it
If you're looking for a break from all the mediocre halal takeaways, this is a good place. Food was great and the service was good too; we didn't have to tell the waitress to split the pasta into different plates and she did it anyways.

The Caprese was a winner! The waiters were honest in their opinion of the dishes and were good with making sure all was in check. The chilli condiments offered was hot and spicy and added a nice added kick to the pizza.

Excellent burgers ! Seriously, you can taste the effort put into making these delicious burgers. Pizza is also quite delicious. where most of the burger places rely heavily on bacon and beer as a selling point, this little Halaal restaurant has overcome this with some creative taste variants. Friendly and prompt service. highly recommend Comida

The owners of Luna Blu opened Comida..One of the few Halaal places in Durban (with continental food). Service was really slow..We waited about 30 mins for a burger and pizza. My husband enjoyed the burger but I found the patty a bit burnt and dry (crumbly). The chicken pizza was also not bad but not amazing. I felt that the pizzas at Luna Blu were better.

Decided to give comida another try as my first experience a while ago when they first opened wasn't a good one..
I'm glad I did and decided to try the pizza which I heard a lot about..
It was amaaazing..the thinnest crispy base pizza ever and one of the best I've had in a long time!
Definitely a must if you love thin base pizza.
They have a small concise menu which is a good thing so they focus on a few meals and can perfect it.they also seem to manage with the limited space they have very well๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
Will definitely be there again and again for that pizza.

I've been here a few times now and always enjoy visiting with some friends so we can huddle over a pizza together.

Brought to us by the original owners of Luna Blu it's no surprise that the pizza is pretty damn good.

The restaurant is small but cosy and comfortable, menu is not extensive which is refreshing. Generally halaal outlets tend to overdo it with options which sets any restaurant up for failure.

I've not had the burgers because I can never seem to tear myself away from the pizza. Every variation I've had has been delicious. Service is decent and friendly plus I've never had to wait too long for an order.

Comida is the latest (well they've been there over a year) addition to the Lillian Ngoyi (Windemere) Road restaurant scene. Having eaten here a number of times over the last year the food and overall experience has definitely improved. I can definitely attest to this since I was one of the first patrons on opening weekend a year ago. Highlights for me are the burgers (Neo being the best one) and the thin crust pizzas. Service is also good and the menu is not over-crowded allowing the kitchen staff to focus on the dishes they prepare.

Home of the original Luna Blu founder, this little eatery situated on Windermere Road boasts an awesome menu with good pizzas, pastas and burgers. Make sure to tuck into a Piccante pizza or a Classic burger. The coffee is great too, service is quick and the restaurant is owner run.
