Review St Clements - Durban

Donavan Naidoo
Great food and a cosy setting. Service was excellent. Definitely going back

This place is adorable and I feel it appeals more to the more senior crowd. They are pet friendly but unlike most pet friendly restaurants, they don’t bring water bowls out for your pooch but that’s alright considering most of us do bring our own along. The setting is very calm and natural. We were seated outside under the shade of the trees which was pleasant. Their breakfast options were good and the food was tasty. Service is friendly but a bit slow so be prepared to be a little patient. I also saw they have a board for specials for the day which seemed to change according to the time of day, so that’s quite nice that they keep up to date with their options available. All in all, I would recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Very relaxed easy breakfasts. Indoor and outdoor seating available. I had the rarebit, it was everything I expected. The menu is fairly priced and has some scrumptious looking items that I will be back for ! It’s a yes from me.

Loved this placed. This little restaurant is situated in a nursery in the middle of Musgrave Road. The cakes ate devine and the portions are big, so great to share. We had a different twist to the regular French toast and it was devine. We will definitely come back for their daily specials .

St Clement offers a magic blend of indigenous tranquility in the garden seating area outside with an antique and sense of historic richness inside. The decor is tasteful as are the selected furnishings. Yes, it is in Musgrave however the atmosphere is casual and accommodating - even for kids. The menu is comprehensive and the service is excellent. A good coffee choice and a whopping slice of an awesome array of cakes is overly tempting. The Essence of Beauty, a massage and beauty area makes for a pleasant trip. Unique in so many ways. You will go back. I have many times.

Peaceful restaurant with tables outdoors. A nice calm way to start your Sunday morning. The food is excellent with reasonable pricing and good service.

Unique in Durban is this charming and down to earth Cafe with decent outdoor seating and a warm indoor seating area for inclement weather. Accessed off the busy Musgrave Road, through a charming little nursery, and next to the Anglican church, one can find real value for money breakfasts and lunches, with a distinct South East Asian twist - not to mention great coffee and sumptuous South African wines

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food. The vibe. The staff. It’s always a great experience ❤️

Asian food is to die for as well as a tranquil setting and great service.

Went there for coffee which ended as the best brunch meal. They make their own burger patties😍 scones are freshly baked, light and fluffy. It's a quite restaurant, a lovely cool garden at the back. They have a nursery with many flowers and vegetable seedlings. The service is tops too. Will definitely go back.

Delightful tea garden-esque vibes with amazing food. The first time I went here, a friend recommended the prawn sandwich to me and it was so bleeping delicious that I ordered it again on my second visit here! Nicely crisped and wonderfully seasoned fries. The outdoor seating makes you feel like you're sitting in the middle of a botanical garden having a picnic. Pleasant atmosphere and cheery vibes.

Lovely place for coffee and a bite to eat. The outside sitting area has a lovely garden and grapefruit tree, which provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy your meal. The coffee was decent, but a bit milky, and I enjoyed my cheesy scrambled egg croissant.

This place is winning my taste buds in soo many ways. Whether I come for breakfast, lunch or dinner; satisfaction guaranteed. I love it 👍👍👍👍

Very rude staff left us wandering around before barking that they are not seating customers inside and no tables are available outside. We were told not to bother as there would not be a table available for some time and there is a long wait for food, then the waitress simply walked away. Absolutely disgusting service.

This is my mum's favourite spot and she will often pop in to sit outside under the trees far from the maddening crowd ! We went for brunch and I was really impressed, it is small, the menu is simple but there is a good selection and the staff are friendly, happy to muddle the menu and more importantly kind to my mum who struggles a little with her walking / sitting. It is situated in an old house with a very small boutique in one of the rooms - very easy to sit and relax and chat. It also appeals to an eclectic crowd from students on laptops to women basking in the sun with a book, coffee and a sandwich outside. Oh yes - the scones were fresh and yum !!

Not too sure why it's considered pocket friendly. But never the less, it has great views and good vibes. The service was good, and the food excellent! It's definitely one to try, just take some extra cash!
