Review Mayfair Cafe - Durban

The food was delicious, and everything tasted fresh. Having a fresh juice with open windows for natural airflow is such a good feeling. The customer service was wonderful; the waitress made sure the eggs were cooked to my liking by asking if I wanted the scrambled eggs hard or medium. The noise level is also not too loud for a place that can sit many people!

As usual, we had a great time today. We had to bring my brother and his wife from Jhb to experience this place. We were not disappointed at all. Thank you Mayfair team! 😊

This was our first visit to Mayfair Cafe in Durban North. The weather was not great it was drizzling and it was just after Church on Sunday. We were there around 11am. The place was buzzing with several people waiting outside for a spot to dine. It was just two of us, so we were immediately ushered in and the waitress was there promptly with the table already set and sanitized etc. We were taken through the refreshments and hot drinks by our awesome Waitress. She was brilliant and definitely lent a pleasant experience to want to return. I ordered a MoccaChino and a toasted raisin bun with Marmalade to begin with. Mrs and I shared it. It was fresh, and toasted and buttery delicious. The marmalade added that additional #Umami. Mrs ordered hot chocolate and the waitress ensured it was exactly how she wanted it. So attention to detail, perfect 🥰. I ordered the Cowboy beans on toast with bacon and soft runny eggs Sunnyside up. Look at the picture, exactly how it was served. I switched the hash brown for a brown toast. I dislike hash brown 😒. Mrs ordered the breakfast with avos and grilled chicken and half done egg with the yolk just set. Again look at the picture, exactly how she wanted it. I asked for some hot sauce and I was served a bottle of Frankie's Habanero sauce. Very delicious with good heat, but flavourful. Sort of had a ripe fruity taste. Unfortunately I didn't like the beans, it was mushy and tasted close to beans curry 🤣. I would have enjoyed Baked beans instead. The rest was delicious. Will we back, definitely, why? Everything I said above. And did I mention that I ordered carrot cake for takeaway? Well it was very good, because my Daughter and Mrs gulped it down at home... okay they enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend this Restaurant. #CurryCulture 🌶 blog owner... RLR

Another favourite to visit! Great food, awesome service and such a chilled vibe. Everything you can order here is delicious! The fillet open sandwich is heaven.

Found Mayfair Cafe via Google. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. There was a 10min wait to get in. However we were greeted and assured that the line would move fast, which it did. Service was excellent, order place, food out quick. Shout out to Lerato. Delicious food. Give it try when in Durban.

Very busy, and there are reasons for it: 1. Coffee is amazing 2. Great food. 3. Service is amazing. 4. A lot of options on the menu to come and taste next time. 5. Pulled Pork Benedict is such a great dish. Unique, delicious, and a decent portion.

This is one extremely busy breakfast place! The staff here are extremely nice, but tend to hover around your table which can be quite annoying. The food was good but lacked a good amount of flavour, had to add a decent amount of salt and pepper. I would still recommend as it’s a great place, with decent food and a really good vibe.

Xmas eve breakfast with my lovelies. Mayfair cafe in Durban North. What a gem of a place. Being my first visit, I was totally blown away with the warmth of the staff, so friendly and totally on the ball, even though they had a full house. The food was delicious, see pics attached. The bill for four people was R350, great value for money and the cherry on top is their sweets table. Yes, that's right, you can help yourself to a variety of sweets at no extra charge. If you looking for home away from home, I definitely recommend Mayfair Cafe.

Mayfair is by far the best cafe. They offer service with a smile from the time you enter and when you exit they thank you with a smile. They ensure that they serve very quick and their food is DELICIOUS. The managers checked up on our table often and ensured that we had everything we needed as well as they waiters. We were very pleased with the service rendered and would definitely recommend their Mayfair breakfast. I would score them 10 000 out of 10. Keep up the great work and friendly service.
