Lovely warm fire on a windy winter’s day. My husband’s fillet was cooked to perfection and our pepper dew chicken was moist and full of flavor. The wine was very well priced. The waiter was excellent and very amiable. A fabulous experience.
The food is awesome, I ordered the Lamb Shank and it was prepared perfectly. Great sauce and the accompanying mash, pumpkin and spinach were great. I usually don't like restaurant spinach.
Wow wow wow if you ever looking for home cooked food this is one restaurant you need to try when in dullstroom. The restaurant offers a wide variety to choose from off the menu. But one thing you have to try is the lamb shank which is out of this world.
It's so far the best I have ever had , the meat falls off the bone and the veg has the most amazing flavour which brings you back to when you where grown up.

We stopped here for a quick drink. The cocktails were cheaper than in the "city", and it was delicious!! Very friendly and helpful staff!! What a lovely atmosphere in the bar! Awesome decor!!
Went for dinner on a Saturday night, 2 of us. The food was tasty and well priced. Our Greek salad had generous amounts of soft feta. The highlight was the live music.
Good cosy atmosphere, the food is great and the price is reasonable and the portions are generous. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town
I am in love with everything about this restaurant. I always make sure I stop in Dullstroom for a meal because of the string of restaurants there so I decided to try The Coachman this time. The staff is so welcoming, so friendly! The food, there's food made "because it's my job" and then there's food made out of love. This is pure love. So tasty, the lamb shank is delicious, everything was just wow! I really wish they were on Pretoria I'd be there every night. Their prices are extremely reasonable we were so shocked when we received the bill. This restaurant hasn't seen the last of me 😂
Well located and very spacious with a separate kids area. We visited twice over a weekend, once for evening take-outs and again for breakfast, and both were very enjoyable. The manageress/owner was always present, and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is beautifully furnished and the have a great selection. We'll most definitely be back, my favorite in Dullstroom.
Apart from being a good place to stop for a drink we had to get food there one night seeing as the braai rained out. Which I was completely happy about after tasting their pasta. Spinach, chorizo and calamari linguine was absolutely delicious and the staff was really friendly. It's a quiet restaurant sometimes and the bar is also not too busy. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
Arrived in Dullstroom after dark. Did a quick check in at the accommodation and then went on the hunt for a restaurant still open. Coachman looked empty, but we were welcomed at the door, seated and cold beers were instantaneously produced. Snail starters were reasonable. Mains of lamb shank and gorgonzola fillet were excellent. Service friendly, and we were the last to leave. Good option when in town.
