Service was decent, food was fresh, well presented and tasted good. Waiter was friendly and was around most of the time. Prices reasonable for the quality of the food.
No one goes to Dullstroom without trying pancakes at Harries. We tried the milk tart custard filling pancakes and we can definitely see why this quaint little space is super busy. I'm actually not fond of pancakes at all but these are thicker than the traditiional kind and fluffy and fresh. Yum :) We also had the traditional breakfast which was pretty average but really no complaints. Kudos to the team who were super busy but kept the food steadily coming out. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
Nestled towards the bottom of the main street in Dullstroom. Very artistic interior leaning towards minimalistic, which works very well got a calm and relaxing ambience. The food as you may guess is a mix between sweet and savory pancakes! We both opted for savory (a bacon bit pancake and babotie), which was served promptly. Thick pancake base either mixed with or enfolding the savory contents. Both unique and delicious, however priced at R75 per single pancake serving seems a bit excessive for some batter, small pieces of meat and cheese. Overall a must experience if you're passing through.
We were 7 people that ate breakfast here. Service was great and food was also very good. Breakfast was well cooked and well prepared. Pancakes was awesome and very good portions
Great food and well trained staff! I love the Biltong and Mozerella Pancake (A truly South African dish ☺). Be warned that this restaurant is a favourite for tourists so be sure to book or phone in advance to get a table, if those big busses stop, it's hard to get a table.
Yum, really enjoyed the pancake and the scone was amazing. Would definitely recommend coming here... can't wait to come back back and try the desert pancakes.
I love this place as much as I love the town. Such a popular little shop with a warm atmosphere. I've had the pleasure of eating there many times throughout the seasons and I must say a winter visit is the best by the fireplace.
Their pancakes are Consistently yummy . Try their homemade caramel sauce- 10/10

Had lunch at the institution that is Harrie's Pancakes in Dullstroom. It was the highlight of my escaping-the-city-longweekend.
Very, very busy over weekends, but understandably so. Even though we arrived right in the middle of Saturday lunch rush-hour, the service was outstanding.
The Sabie-blend coffee, served in a plunger, deserves a special mention. Everyone at our table agreed that it's just a special, delicious blend of coffee.
As for the pancakes, I had the most difficult time deciding which one to order. They all look equally amazing. Eventually I settled on a savoury pancake with tomato lamb bredie filling with basil pesto and what a good choice. The bredie was so flavourful and they don't skimp on the meat by adding too much potato. The filling was almost all meat. The pancake itself is so light and fluffy, but substantial at the same time.
Everyone really enjoyed their pancakes which included a Thai chicken filling and a butternut and feta filling with a sweet pepper sauce that my friends raved about. So sad that we couldn't manage a sweet option as well, as I really had my eye on the peanut butter and choc chip option. Next time...
Love Harries Pancakes! A must if you are staying in or driving through charming Dullies. Highly recommend the chicken liver pancake as well as the apple pie pancake. Coffee is good and service is friendly.
Amazing pancakes - so light and fluffy. We had the butternut and feta pancakes and then the lemon meringue pancakes. They were both delicious. The service was great, very friendly staff. We will definitely return!

Every time I go up to the Kruger National Park, this is my Pitt stop place! Best pancakes since I was a young girl. The sweet pancake with cinnamon, sugar, banana and caramel sauce is the best thing since sliced bread!! Also the Boebotie pancake is fantastic and delicious for a lunch type meal. Very friendly and welcoming staff at Harries Pancakes so you feel even more at home when you step through their main entrance aka. sliding door!
We will always return to this special place.

You can't come to Dullstroom and not go past Harries and enjoy a pancake. Consistent with its sister restaurant in Clarens, the art on the walls is all for sale.
As a fan of Apple Pie/Strudels, placing my order was easy. And it didn't disappoint. Sweet, sticky stewed apples with just the right amount of spice, smothered in Vanilla Ice cream and a generous sprinkling of sliced almonds made for a quick, enjoyable desert, lifting my mood and sugar levels after an appalling lunch at Halmets.
A sublime variety of dishes are offered. We had the cherry liqueur pancake which was quite the treat. It is evident that great effort to detail when in to the decor. The service was prompt and friendly. Lovely place to visit any time of the day.

Nice atmosphere, opted for desert ones this time, plain was good, milk tart custard filling was pure South African. Not sure about the pricing though, prices seem a tad steep and paying R18 for a serving of ice cream as extra does seem a bit much. Great taste and atmosphere, maybe not so great on the value side
Gotta Love Harries. If I could try all the pancake variations I would, but I always get stuck on my few favourite. The chicken for savoury and chocolate mousse for sweet. They are all good! A tad pricey but worth it. Dullstroom's store is very busy always so go early!
A must stop whenever visiting this beautiful small town, the Babotie filled pancake is amazing, breakfast is ok but I guess when coming here you come for pancakes and not breakfast, clean, friendly and service great. Get in early or you will wait in line.

Harries Pancakes is an absolute MUST when in Dullstroom. I love pancakes but seriously, these pancakes re on another level. I generally try and order quite healthy options when eating out but when in Dullstroom you gotta go all the way! Of course we had to both sweet and savory. And WOW. Was I impressed.
If you've read some of my other foodie reviews you'll already know that I have a love and slight obsession with chicken livers. The chicken lovers at Charlie C's (which I added to my salad) were amazing - BUT the chicken livers at Harrie's Pancakes were mind blowing. Im not sure what they use to make them (maybe crack - they're that good!) but woah, you gotta try them! We added them to the butternut and feta filled savory pancake and it was so incredible we ordered a second.
Then just because #WhenInDulstroom we order a sweet one as well. Heaven! Milk Tart custard filled sweet with cinnamon sugar. I mean life really doesn't get better than that. Seriously - do yourself a favor. Don;t skin on the pancakes. Stop in at Harrie's Pancakes. It's quite literally life changing.
The coffee is always good! In a proper plunge pot, enough for two strong cups. I am a regular at both the Graskop outlet and this one in Dullstroom. Harries is a "must do" for anyone. My particular favourites are the Lamb Bredie, Bobotie, Chicken Liver or Dutch Bacon pancakes. This is a perfect breakfast, coffee or lunch stop.
Harries in Dullstroom is a favourite stop on our way to the bush. Allthough a roomy restaurant, I have yet to see it full of patrons. (Perhaps they receive busloads of tourists.) The result is a bit of a church hall atmosphere.
Food is good and tasty, especially if one likes pancake. I had a trout and cucumber filled pancake - delicate trout, sweet gherkinlike cucumber with home made horseradish cream cheese. Delicious!
The salads were wholesome fresh & honest.

We absolutely love coming to Harries Pancakes each time we are in Dullstroom. It's such a simple concept which has been done very well. It has a cafe feel with seating inside and outside. There is also art work around the restaurant that is normally quite interesting.
The service is normally good, even when they are very busy. My favourite pancake is the butternut and feta with a red pepper sauce. It is delicious! They don't seem to take bookings so I would recommend going early if Dullstroom is busy.

The fire on a cold morning in Dullstroom was very welcoming. But the food was even better. We ordered two different pancakes and shared. Each bite was a taste sensation. Highly recommend the salmon/trout pancake and the chicken liver pancake.
Really enjoyed the experience. The Biltong and mozzarella pancake was delicious as was the cinnamon and milk tart custard pancake. You definitely cannot skip this restaurant when you visit Dullstroom.
Great stop on the way to Kruger National park. Service was fast, food was fresh and tasty. Local beer with a beautiful outside patio. We got the pork and peaches plus had a taste of the beef. Sauces were very nice. Picture is after I started eating.
Ideal place to stop on a 5-6 hour drive from Hoedspruit to Johannesburg with a party of 10 people. The place was quiet so we did get served in good time. Loved my Dutch pancake. The macadamias from George ( in their car park) are great…and Simon looks after your car.
Excellent tourist stop in Dullstroom. Harries Pancakes never disappoints. I had beef curry savory pancake with Cappuccino. The gift shop has great tourist local gifts. A must stop for locals and foreigners.
The food was nice, the waitress was very friendly and very helpful. Just a little disappointed that the shop closes very early got there just after 4. And we were told they are closing at 4:45PM. Either than that the place is affordable and the food is nice. Would definitely recommend that you try them out.
They have a wide variety of sweet and savoury filled pancakes and although you only get a single pancake, the filling is more than sufficient to make it a meal on its own.
They are worth a visit.
Visited a few of these restaurants in the past, and loved their food. Always great food, and fantastic local beers.

Absolutely delicious pancakes! Worth a visit when you driving through Dullstroom. The verity on the menu is so big it's hard to choose from. In the end we went with beef curry and bacon bits with cheese as per our waiters recommendation. And wow!!!
