those places are rare. this one is so special - the positive way. the service is very friendly. i had the honour to meet the owner - even more friendly :) they have different themes in the outdoor area to sit and eat. the bar inside has this typical afrikaans vibe with screens to watch some games. enough parking space available. the place is also good for kids, in the backyard they have some animals. hopefully i will be back soon to show this to other people!
If you need a place to relax in karoo, original home based African and modern meals,a sit in restaurant while it reminds you of the good olden days of grandmother's food and kitchen,go there and enjoy. You are welcome also to bring your own music of choice on your memory stick ,if you are a large group. I loved it.

A hidden gem in Deben, 15 minutes west of Kathu in the green Kalahari. Great food and local specialities. Friendly staff, good parking, and a great place for functions in a unique lapa setting.
