Herries is an absolute must! Such an awesome vibe with a great view and delicious well priced food. Best homemade burger pattie I've ever tasted and the pizza too was excellent.
A massive shout out to the new owner Marius and his family for their incredible hospitality. The ice-cold Castle Lite on tap was so refreshing after a hot day. See you guys again soon!
We had such a wonderful evening here on a one night stay in De Rust. We all had the fish and chips and all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was fantastic. It's a family owned restaurant and it really has a warm, friendly, family atmosphere. The new owners have only been operating for 3 months so any reviews older than this shouldn't be taken into account. Thanks again!
What a gem of a place. Had an awesome vegetarian pizza and ice cold beers in such a friendly place. What fantastic hospitality and service. Kudos to our enthusiastic waiter, always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Herries if you are passing through or overnighting in De Rust.

Marius and staff, thank you for your friendlyness and willingness to assist. My motorcycle broke down and Marius had no problem collecting the part for me in George. While we were waiting we were served by Hanrei what friendly waiter. I highly recommend Herries for great food, friendly and warm service. Once again thank you.
We watched the bokke game here! One for the books. Pub menu included some mouthwatering items like old school fish and chips but the super thin based pizzas is the one we went for! Friendly staff and an overall awesome evening!
A few mates and I overnighted in De Rust on a bike trip and had dinner at Herrie's se Plek. What a fantastic fun filled evening, really not what we expected. What the restaurant lacks in gourmet cuisine they make for in great service and hospitality... we laughed from beginning to end.
The owners looked after our group and made our dinner very special. Thank you, Marius and Rina! Best coffee on Route 62!
An honest eatery, no frills or pretense, good people serving good plain food.
Can recommend the fish & chips, the russian are good, and try their pies, especially the pulled pork.
