Review Evita Se Perron - Darling

Great gallery exposing the history and negative effects of the ruling party decisions. Pieter-Dirk Uys always add a smile to the sad past.

Traveltime Tours visited the Darling Wildflower show - it was a well organized exhibition but the cherry 🍒 on the top was the decadent chocolate cake and coffees at Evita se Perron with the very warm welcome from Fritz - lovely end to our day !!!

Great spot for a good 'boere' breakfast. They have the most delicious (and massive) koeksisters that R7.50 can buy. Slightly more cramped now that they have moved the dining area into a smaller area, but warm and cosy on a cold day. Friendly service.

As a young Afrikaaner growing up in the 80's, I never realised how brave and clever a man dressed as a woman could be. Evita, you legend, you deserve an Oscar. (Not the one that shot his girlfriend) Trip down memory lane, unmissable.

Was quite a nice outting. First time there and was really nice. Great Bobotie, awesome coffee, very friendly staff. Museum was quite an eye opener of our past. Definitely will go there again for their Sunday scones and tea

Nice place to literally walk down memory lane of South African history. Great atmosphere in which to enjoy a peaceful time. There are also shows available of Peter-Dirk 'Eish'. Pity we missed it so check the schedule for availability

Good preservation of afrikaner political history. With all the PDU humour.

Eclectic and historic. If South African politics mixed with satire is your thing, don't miss a visit to Tannie Evita's lovely museum and restaurant. Had a lovely Boere breakfast and excellent coffee. Well worth it to pay a visit on your way to the west coast.

The melktert was delicious and the lady serving us also very helpful. I was a bit disappointed about the portion not available where the theater was. I understand it has been sold to Darling Sweet.

Fantastic morning with lovely coffee and scones. The peppermint tart milkshake is fantastic. Great team. Looking forward to going back soon for a show
