Review True Living Old Karoo Deli & Restaurant - Cradock

I recently dined at this charming restaurant in a small town, and it left a lasting impression. The modern atmosphere, complemented by warm wood finishes, set a friendly tone. The restaurant's pretty garden added a delightful touch to the overall ambiance. The culinary experience was exceptional. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The service was impeccable, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. I appreciated that they have a liquor license, providing a variety of beverage options to complement the meal. One standout feature was the inclusion of fresh baked goods. The Ciabatas, in particular, were a highlight – irresistibly delicious and a testament to the quality of their baked offerings. Additionally, the presence of a vegetable garden added a unique and refreshing touch, emphasizing the restaurant's commitment to freshness and quality ingredients. In conclusion, this restaurant seamlessly combines a modern feel with a friendly atmosphere, delectable cuisine, excellent service, and a delightful garden setting. It's a hidden gem in the small town culinary scene, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu.

A very cosy and warm atmosphere. The décor definitely stood out and is typical down to earth, Karoo style. The owners are on the floor working with their staff and friendliness fills the restaurant. Delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend a stop and visit. Perhaps try the litchi-lemon cooler and pizzas.

A hidden gem in Cradock. Forget about the over commercialised eateries - these people know how to prepare food! Freshly baked breads, home made jam and butter. Best boerewors I have ever tasted. All the breakfasts were delicious. Proper ywo group Conti coffee machine. Great service and stunning atmosphere. Owner on premises!

The place and food were stunning. The service is very bad and made to wait an hour for single Margherita Pizza... the owner of the restaurant, so nice and humble and took the action 🎬 so quickly. Don't want to miss the taste of the food 😋...

Looks like nothing from the street and then you are transported to another world when you step through the door. Each room in the old house has a table or couch and wingback chair. The courtyard has tables and the atmosphere is truly peaceful. The food was great, I had the breakfast burger. Homemade ingredients are just better than what a franchise can provide. We cannot wait till we are in Cradock again, so that we can eat here again.
