A cosy bar that always seems to be busy and buzzing. The drinks are well priced, their is occassionally a live band and the people are always having a great time. Definitely not the spot for a quiet drink out, and you won't get away with "just one drink" here, but it's loads of fun and worth it.

Very casual low key pub. Perfect for a few drinks. Not the fanciest place but the staff are awesome and we had a really good time there.
Seems like one of the only pubs in Clarens that is open until very late although the kitchen closes at 9.
in a town like Clarens where there are not many (if any) options to party, Friends has everything a drunk person could ask for. there's a great outside area to chill at, with a bonfire to keep you warm in the winter, and the alcohol is also very well priced. The bartenders there are also a jol and love to banter and chat with you.
Nice place, I visited two nights when I had a weekend holiday in Clarens, other places in Clarens Square gave us “the look” because we were black, this one was different. White dominated and weird to see white people dancing lol.
Nice food, good live music on Saturday nights. Clarens overall are not used to black visitors in the town, which is weird in 2017.

Loved the organic food choices and home -plaas-like feeling. Friendly and i even bought plates and mugs with the friends logo! New favourite!!!
