Super friendly staff that were accommodating of our two dogs when setting up a table for a group of 7. Good food with an excellent waitress that ensured not only were our needs met but those of the furballs too, she even managed to convince the chef to make some breakfast for dinner

We had dinner there last night. Excellent food, friendly management and Pule is easily one of the best waiters we have ever experienced! The food is really tasty and relatively cheap as well. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful atmosphere great live music and the food was excellent. For someone who likes their steak to still moo, it was cooked (or not) to perfection. The staff are efficient and friendly.
Excellent food and wine and service. It's so amazing when waitrons are taught how to pour wine and serve properly and in such a small town of Clarens. Well done!!!

We first arrived and seated on the street side, was not too impressed, very average. Then we decided to move to the back of the restaurant, and wow, what a difference in atmosphere and view! Great service allround though, and the food was excellent! Definitely recommended.

Def a place we would go back to! Food is outstanding! Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented on plate. Place does not look like much from outside but the food is amazing. Fresh, warm roosterkoek, lambtails, delicious home cooked veg! This place is absolutely a must try.

What an experience! Clarens have a new hot spot! Service still so-so, yet the food makes up for it. From the starters to the dessert - absolutely fantastic orgasmic gastronomic experience!! Basic, no frills great tasting food!!

The menu is really interesting! I ordered pap and lambs tail... Lamb being a tender meat I didn't expect the meat to be burnt to a crisp.. Maybe that's the traditional way of eating them I don't know. The pap was delicious well done on that!
Atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Service was friendly. Menu offered traditional home cooked Afrikaaner food. Food takes a bit too long to arrive but once it did it was delicious!
We started our evening with free beer tasting and decided to stay for dinner after viewing the interesting menu.
The restaurant is spacious. It has a comfortable and homely atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent boerekos.

Good experience. They have a fairly limited vegetarian menu, but a nice variety for meat eaters.
Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Not fine dining, but a lovely chilled place to grab a burger or steak.
Waiter was very friendly and helpful. Repeated the order and checked on us on a regular basis. Menu has a boere kos theme trough out and they also do roosterkoeke. Our food did not take to long and was up to standard. A take away box was offered to the food not finished.

Absolutely a "must visit" gem in Clarens. During our 4 night stay we dined there twice !!! I can recommend their pap and kaaiings and pap and skaapstertjies for sure. The service was excellent and prices reasonable.
We really enjoyed the Afrikaans menu and dishes. Such a different and lovely experience.
The food and drinks were delicious
Have to say that the tvs were very loud and gave the restaurant a 'sport pub' feel. It was a good tennis game - so all good - but some music would be great
Clarens Kooperasie has some great cocktails. We were greeted by friendly waiters and quick service making the experience even better. The prices are fair and the view is stunning. A bit dead and quiet during the week, but a great way to relax before making your way through the little dorpie of Clarens.

The food was excellent. Best prepared fillet in years, the way I like it. Kudos to the chef. Great service and super friendly staff. The only negative thing is, once they want to close, you feel a bit rushed to finish your food.

So so good! Our b&b host recommended this place to us for some South African food, and we’re so glad we made a stop here! My friend and I decided to order a few things to share. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection! Probably the best meal so far from our entire South Africa trip. Service was also wonderful and people were very friendly.
It was cold when we ate here, and they actually have seatings indoors with heaters. Or you can sit outside in the cold.
