Breakfasts are good. Good place to stop for breakfast.
Also got a nice variety of lunches.
Saw a lot of locals come and have breakfast with their well trained dogs

I had breakfast here this morning. Their food is always so tasty. I had the Free State breakfast which consisted of 2 eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, toast, tomatoe, mushrooms and boerewors. It just took about 40 minutes, a little longer than expected but a good experience. Very friendly staff and great management.
This picturesque town offers a lovely little restaurant called The Post House. Stepping foot through the door you are greeted with a warm ambient setting that is a sure place for friends to meet and enjoy great food. Their menu offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options at reasonable prices. I enjoyed their very homely prepared flapjack breakfast with honey and bacon. Rounding it off with a lovely cup of Americano. Be sure to swing by when you ever get the chance to visit this lovely town.
It is 24 December 2016 and we stay in Ash River Lodge B&B and tomorrow was xmas ... and I needed dessert.
I ordered a slice of Black Forest Cake, a mini Apple Crumble and a mini Berry Cheesecake from them. It was absolutely delicious!!!!!! I forgot to take a pic of the Black Forest Cake.
Great service!! Joseph was out waiter, and he really gave us a great welcoming (after the cold one we received at Clementine). Joseph checked on us regularly and has great character. Showed appreciation after the tip as well. The managers are of great form, checked on us to see if we were happy. The prices are really affordable of what we've seen so far in Clarens. I had a 500g T-bone steak, medium rare. It was cooked the way I ordered and I enjoyed the basting. The restaurant also gives a great atmosphere. Definitely a place to visit when in Clarens!

Gorgeous arty town and this restaurant lives up to the image one has of quaint, character filled restaurants lining the streets of this beautiful Freestate town, the food and service were super. Were disappointed with the quality of the house wine and didnt want a whole bottle just a glass but the owner quickly rectified that by opening a bottle and pouring us a glass of excellent South African white wine
As a vegan in a small town, eating out can be a task! However The Posthouse had a lovely bean and lentil curry with roti and sambals that was super tasty and nourishing. Service was efficient and friendly!
The Posthouse is always a place on our list when visiting Clarens. Whether for breakfast, light lunch or dinner. The four meat tramazini and cajun chicken salad is delicious. In summer it is relaxing sitting outside under the trees and in winter the fireplace is cozy.
We ended up here by default - and it was great. Nothing was too much trouble. The lamb curry was great. Well presented. The triple chocolate mousse dessert is highly recommended.
