Review Kauai Cavendish - Claremont

Kauai Cavendish is a great place to have a bite to eat. All the staff are super friendly and efficient. Your average wait time for food is about 10-15mins when they are not too busy. The restaurant is neat and tidy and tables are wiped down when they clear them which is great. Whenever I have ordered here the food has always been at that high standard, in terms of quality and presentation. Prices are a little higher than other places but I believe the quality outweighs the price. A small thing to note is not all of the tellers ask if you have the app so have it ready when you order. Edit 18th July 2022 So it looks as if Cavendish is following suit and I got asked by the teller if I had the app. So 10 points to Cavendish. As usual the food was good and the service was super friendly.

Had a delicious Spicy burrito today! The Cavendish store is always a win for a quick bite and a smoothie between shopping missions.

Kauai beef and veggie burgers are very delicious. Good Cappuccinos as well. We enjoyed the new pinocolado yoghurt ice cream. We like that we can use our Discovery Vitality rewards here. The Cavendish branch has super friendly staff and the tables and chairs are kept clean.

The food is fantastic, healthy, well-made and delicious. A bit on the pricey side although their breakfasts are good value for money. Friendly staff and good service. Their wraps are a classic, small but filling meals and their smoothies are basically an entire meal.

Friendly customer oriented service. Absolutely blown away by this store. I ordered online for delivery (simple, efficient and cost effective) and they got a small part of one of my items wrong. I called and they immediately apologised, replaced the whole item, added a smoothie apology as well, and delivered within 20 minutes. The definition of customer service.

Honestly the best! Diane always greets me with a friendly smile and remembers my order each time, as well as caters for my every request. Their service and food quality is exceptional, even for uber eats/MRD (which is rare). Love, love, love.

We have ordered a couple of times during lockdown. The food has been consistently good and so have the smoothies. We had one issue where they forgot the chicken on one of the salads but we got a refund. I highly appreciate the care they put into each meal. This is the only branch of Kauai I like.

Always fresh and fabulous at this branch ... had the best oatmeal bowl I've had in a long time ... service is very good here and staff are friendly. My go to when I'm in cavendish

They All fit the same profile. No store is different from the other. They clean and luckily for me service each time I visit has always been superb. I ordered the berry smoothie and my usual princess wrap, all and all tummy was full, quality was great and the shop was clean. Keep it up guys.. And girls. .

Fantastic place to eat, food is of great quality and the service is likewise very good. I highly recommend this Kauai branch if you looking for a healthy option with excellent standards. The pride of the staff is very visable. My family will certainly be back.

Heads up to management for excellent service by staff. I ordered a smoothy and while waiting a staff member offered me a seat and i said i would ferch my shopping trolley, the staff member said have a seat and i will fetch your trolley. While waiting there 2 other staff member asked me if i had been served. The staff are friendly, and very efficient. Well done !!.

One of my favourite Kauai's to visit. On my opinion it's better than the one in Canal Walk. I've spent many lunch times here just enjoying a delicious bowl while reading q good book I'd just bought at Exclusive Books

The Kauai situated outside Cavendish makes the best smoothies I have ever had compared to any other Kauai outlet. It was velvety and did not feel watered down at all. The seating inside is also some of the best seating I've seen for a Kauai; spacious with plenty of seating available.

Definitely one of the Better Kauai's in CT!

The menu on Zomato is out-of-date, and the logo is now black.<br/><br/>The staff are a bit distracted, but the food is excellent.<br/><br/>It is nice to sit at the Kauai in Cavendish to be around other people.

I'm always sceptical when getting something from kauai because you never know how the smoothie/wrap is going to come out if the flavour ratios go wrong 🙈<br/>This particular branch has more options than the other ones with the addition of a salad/toppings bar.<br/>I currently tried their new frozen yoghurt range and it has become one of my favourite spots to get fro-yo. The accompaniments of toasted almonds and chai spice were the perfect combination. Big thumbs up for the fro-yo as you never can go wrong with this 👌💕👍<br/>Great smoothies are: peanut butter bliss, the gem, Berry dairy 🙌

It's always nice to stop by Kauai for a quick bite or smoothie/juice. I cant really judge them on service because I always do takeaways. I really like their daily greens

My friend and I decided to take a break from shopping and order smoothies. However, the staff seemed like they were more interested chatting amongst themselves than helping customers. They also shout at each other to the kitchen at the back in front of the customers which seems really unprofessional. Service was unbearably slow and the staff were unfriendly. Not impressed with service at all. I ordered a Berry Dairy smoothie and my friend went for one of the tropical options. Although the smoothies tasted nice but were overpriced and we had to wait ages for them.

The New menu is limited in it's options for vegetarians. It is over priced. I have stopped going to Kauai sibce there are no decent options for me. Bring the old Kauai menu back!

My boyfriend and I had Discovery vouchers that needed to be used and we decided to get smoothies and wraps from here due to it. The service was a little slow, but the food was rather decent. I probably wouldn't spend my money here, purely because the smoothies and wraps at Kauai are generally overpriced, but it is still decent nonetheless.

Tried a meal for the first time since the "revamp" and was extremely disappointed. Ordered the Moroccan wrap. The portion was decent, but everything inside was drenched in an awful sweetish sauce. The veggies and wrap itself were completely soggy from this sauce. The avo inside was unripe and very hard. There was literally about 4 tiny pieces of chicken that I could sieve out of the sauce. Added broccoli for R12 extra, that was probably the best part. Definitely not worth almost R80. Won't be returning soon.<br/><br/>UPDATE: Complained to management and they very kindly compensated us with and delivered 2 large smoothies.

Popped in for a coffee while waiting for a meeting. Terrible cappuccino, so freaken hot it could've put blisters on even the devils tongue. Probably shouldve just had a smoothie. When it came time to pay, I was forced to use my credit card as there was no change in the tills. As a whole - not a good experience.

Just popped in today to claim a reward so thought I would get a juice as I was feeling pretty run down after a hard day. I tried the "Helper" for the first time and I thought it was horrible. Probably not the juice's fault but the person who made it. Ratio of veggies (carrot, celery, cucumber, turmeric, Himalayan salt) seemed completely off. Colour was ugly orange green and there was so much salt I had to stop drinking it. Threw it away without finishing. This store has really gone downhill in the past few years. New menu is great but staff provide poor service and are inefficient.

Just wanted something refreshing during Christmas shopping. Ordered a Harvest wrap (no meat) and a beetroot and apple juice. The wrap was on the small side but was satisfying. The juice was very heavy on the beetroot which I couldn't finish as it rasped the back of my throat. <br/><br/>Staff shout the orders to the kitchen which I find crude and unprofessional. It made eating in completely offputting so I finished my meal as quickly as possible. <br/><br/>I do like the new menu though.

This is a Kauai branch I frequently go to if I'm in the area. Based on the most recent visit, I used my complimentary vouchers to purchase an Old style Caeser Wrap and a Berry Dairy smoothie and my boyfriend used his free smoothie voucher from his Discovery points. Now it seems that the staff aren't trained in using the app, and that impacts on slow service. Surely if you introduce a certain feature to your business,you make sure ALL your staff members that operate a till point are sufficiently trained? Because our initial lady had to call two different people to aid her. But that aside, the food was freshly made, very tasty,and one of the most 'filled' wraps I've had from any Kauai.

Unfortunately while the concept of Kauai is every healthy persons dream, the reality is uncertain as to what standard one will get. Can they get it right? Yes! So many times I've gotten deliciousness. Can they get it wrong? Yes ): my smoothie given to me wasn't even filled properly. The peanut butter bomb had to be returned as it was undrinkable. They were good about making another one and that one was tasty! The wrap is also a bargain with discovery's deal to buy it for R40. So come on Kauai, please up the consistency of quality, you are so good when you good!

Used to love Kauai for healthy quick meals and fresh smoothies but now that the menu has changed and ultimately my favourite smoothie, Lemon Breeze, has been cut from it I see no reason to go there anymore. The princess wrap has definitely improved with the likes of avo and new ingredients making it tastier because often it didn't taste like a wrap just layers of chicken and carrots. Many other people I know complained about the same thing, but with fewer options now I don't think I will be going there often.

i had a Moroccan wrap which i didnt like, per se, there was too much rice and carrots but not enough chicken. i had a coco mango smoothie - i couldnt taste the mango and ended up giving half away. this is rather unacceptable considering the prices,

I have had a recurring problem with this branch when ordering a Peanut Butter Bomb. The smoothie hardly taste of peanut butter and when I take it back to complain I am faced with an attitude. Today I took it back and received a second smoothie that tasted like liquidized banana. The problem usually occurs when ordering a large so I think this branch has a problem with portioning. I hope this problem is fixed soon and that the staff get a lesson in customer service.

Not having tried the new menu yet, I though it was about time. I had the Harvest wrap and a gem smoothie (one of my favourites and I would really suggest you give it a try if you like almonds). The wrap had very little avo, but the feta was generous and the lemon olive oil vinaigrette a good dressing with all the greens. My order did not take long even though they were busy, which was nice.

So the service was fast considering there was a queue. I still miss the old Kauai menu though. I had the old style chicken ceaser wrap and I miss the old one. This just wasnt as tasty or flavourism. It had waaay too much lemon and that's pretty much all you can taste.

Best smoothies in the world. The gem is my all time fave. The food is also great especially the wraps! Healthy and delicious is always a winning combination!

Had a princess wrap which was stuffed with avo chicken carrot etc it was fabulous,chicken was amazing really if you want a wrap defiantly give that option a try, vit c smoothie very good. Service at this branch was not understanding it was alright, the one guy making the smoothies and shakes was really really nice other staff not that nice

Great service at this Kauai. Been working my way through the smoothies (thanks, discovery) and they've all been reallllly yummy. I like the new branding and will try the food sometime soon

I hadn't been to Kauai in ages - not since they rebranded. Really healthy food! Tasted clean and green and the service was speedy. Really healthy and wholesome. Will go again. Not so sure about tipping situation though!

Last night's dinner was a yummy Moroccan chicken wrap from Kauai. It had free range chicken, veggies, warm brown rice and quinoa (which I love). Healthy food never tasted this good! The only downside is that the chicken tasted a bit bland. It could have used a bit of salt!<br/><br/>I love the new set up though. They recently renovated the setting and revamped their menu. I wish they had kept the island duo special though. Oh well.

The setting is great! In the middle of the shopping centre which keeps you occupied while eating, service isn't so bad depending on who you get but the meal size have definitely decreased.

Lovely set up from the outside. I love Kauai outlets but this is the worst outlet. I have never complained about Kauai ever. So firstly unfriendly staff. I said my order and he asked me 3 times after what I wanted (I was only ordering 2 things!) Got the wrong smoothie the first time then my texmex sandwich was soggy-too much salad and sauce, it fell right out when trying to cut it then tried eating it with my hands made a bigger mess. Not enough chicken-had to check if there was any chicken on it that's how little there was on it-couldn't even taste it one bit.
