Have you ever tried the Hudsons Chicken Calzoncini starter? If you haven't graced your taste buds with one of these glorious dishes then you need to do yourself a favour and go try one right now. A mini calzone made of pizza dough and filled with chicken, loads of mozzerella & caramelised onions and then topped with their creamy house peri peri sauce. BEST! We just wish they made a bigger version.

Had an awesome birthday celebration here at Hudson's. Our Waitron, Rebecca, was friendly, attentive and fun. She recommended great drinks and helped make our night a lovely one.

A group of us went to Hudsons for the Rugby World Cup Final. The service was impeccable (we were continuously checked on with very friendly waitresses). The food was tasty and filling and came out in a timely manner even though the venue was very busy. I highly recommend Hudsons.

Sarah was my waitress, I’ve never had better service at Hudsons. They normally struggle when we are in such a large group. (We were a group of 10) Yet she was absolutely incredible, I’d have Sarah as my waitress over anyone else in all my experiences at Hudsons! Food was delicious

So I am a meat eater, tried to donate blood today but my iron levels were too high kind of meat eater. But man, vegan Mondays slap at Claremont Hudsons, that Seoul burger was so damn good! Now next you may wonder what is needed with a damn good burger? An Ice Cold beer! And thank goodness for Sarah Jessica....Parker?(Didn't get her last name), the Newest, most stunning waitress in the joint, she made sure my beer was perfect, even asked for it to be put in the freezer so it was extra cold! Beautiful food, Beautiful people, Beautiful night, what more do you want in this life?

Hudson is one of my favorite places to chill. Love the place, always an amazing vibe with great drinks and dishes. Love the music and aesthetic. Our waitress, Rebecca, was extremely friendly and attentive to our table. Give her a raise😂

Our waitress Becs was so lovely! Such amazing energy and let us know about all the specials, we planned to stay for one drink but her energy and knowledge made us stay longer! We’ll be back hopefully when she’s on shift! 10/10 service and energy

The waitress Zara was excellent; she was attentive and polite. Great experience! 100% recommend the nutella waffles, though you should plan to share them with a friend. Will be back soon.

I took my parents there last night and had the best experience every in the restaurant industry! There were a bit of a mess-up with our food, but they handled it great! They apologized well, def the best i have ever experienced! Thank you for great service! 10/10

The worst service I have encountered at Hudson's, we walked in and nobody was there to welcome us with menus, we sat down and waited 10 minutes just for a menu. After deciding within 5 minutes what we wanted to order not a waitress in sight came, two other tables were served and nobody took our order as they could see our table was empty. After 20 minutes of waiting we walked out. I've always enjoyed Hudsons but I'll never recommend this branch to anyone. Poor, poor service.

Very disappointed in Hudsons Claremont. I have been there on many occasions and had great food and service. However, this time was a complete let down. I made an email booking for 35 people which was confirmed by the manager, Johnathon. I wasn't the first to arrive from my party but when my friends arrived, they were told there was no booking. When I arrived, I had about 4 staff come up to me but none knew what was going on. My large party was then stuffed into 2 booths - clearly not enough space for 35 people! I then asked for extra tables to be added and that took 15 minutes leaving my friends standing and hovering. From then, they had no idea about the set menu I had arranged and food tool VERY long to come out. No compensation was offered for the poor and lack of organization on their side. When we finally asked for the bill, it took 20 minutes to arrive and the 10% cover charge was still enforced even though they had completely messed me around and embarrassed me! A R5000 bill and weak, "Sorry, for the inconvenience" was all I received that night. Not to mention the undercooked burgers. Never going back!

The food was great and the bacon wrapped poppers are delish. The service is slow though and our waitress seemed overwhelmed. The place is also slightly cramped as they slid tables in wherever they could and the door is often left open making it cold inside in the draft.

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and showed us to the table outside as it was full inside on Tuesday (yesterday). She promised to call us in as soon as there was a table available inside but as it was too busy, by the time she came back to take out order we had already moved to a table inside after a gentlemen who had overhead us talkibg to the waitress that we needed a table inside. He gave us his table as he was done dining and the service was supper, the waitresses were very cheerful and smilling and even explained the menu to us. The food was just great, fresh and well presented. We really had a great time, as always. My beer was supper cold...thanx you. Keep up the good work

Hudsons were my favourite burger joint, but last night the food was not great. The burger patty were dry, the sweet patato chips burnt and the milkshakes very thin. They did replace the milkshakes... just wasn't up for sending back the food too.

Cold beer served in a warm glass ....undercooked, under seasoned burger with no flavour..all at a premium price....not good guys ...not good at all

Food was delicious. Service was sharp and friendly so no complaints at all. I requested my food to be served on a plate rather than a wooden board and Hudsons Claremont graciously complied with my request. Music was great and a vibrant mood!

Food is good, service is a disaster. Waitress looked at us like we were there to waste her time and treated us the same way. When she dropped our drinks and food she didn't even bother to check if it's what we wanted or if we needed anything else until I loudly asked if we were not good enough to get good service. The only time she looked remotely interested was when we asked for the bill. Get better staff!

Hudson's is great when they get it right. Eating in store is best, although service can be slow. Order In, always mess up the orders or it's over cooked, wrong combinations, didn't read the instructions, etc. I did contact management about it but they didn't bother responding. So yeah, take it or leave it.

It wasn’t even a busy Sunday evening and we waited forever for our waitress, the one who we eventually had to wave to for attention, had no smile and couldn’t even offer other suggestions for what they had run out of. Clearly they are okay with business walking out of the door.

Another amazing experience at Hudsons. The waitress who attended to my friend and I was so friendly and helpful. Your food never disappoints and the fact I can have any burger "Guido style" makes me feel less guilty about having your sweet potato fries, which is fantastic! Keep it up guys.

I was totally shocked at the service we received. Our table was totally neglected. We were there for a birthday and we probably would have end up spending more money but we waited over an hour to get something to drink and over 2 hours to get our food. Because the waiter forgot what we ordered! We eventually gave up and asked for the bill. Our waiter did not check up on us at all she was more involved in her other tables than us, we were 10. <br/>I will not recommend the Hudson’s in Claremont, a big disappointment, definitely will not go back.

Hudson’s has always been a huge fave of mine, but not today. A friend and I went during lunch. They weren’t that busy, possibly because it was a Monday. But we waited FOREVER for our food order. Drinks came fairly quick, but our food order - the Shroom burger and Fashionista vegan pizza - took roughly +-40 min. My friend was not impressed with the pizza. Apparently the only vegan thing about it was the cheese. A very average pizza. I enjoyed my burger. The shroom sauce was good, generous amount given. Disco fries were good too, although they’re not how I remember it. Lots of oil from the peri peri sauce sat at the bottom of the bowl with a few fries drenched in them. I dunno, maybe just an off day today for them. Overall, a ‘meh experience’. Perhaps next time will be better.

The houdini and player hater vegan burgers are the best vegan burgers that we have ever tasted, ever! The dusted onion rings and nachos are great and the vegan oreo milkshake will blow your mind. We travel far for this gastronomical experience.

I ordered a Boss burger 250g variety and asked for Medium for the burger. Ended up getting a medium rare for the size which was not ideal with portions more rare than medium. The burger also lacked the a clear Mallard Reaction appearing slightly grey indicating a too short/too low temperature grill.  The bacon bits fries were awesome and really tasty, a bit rich but really great in lieu of the disappointing burger. Will definitely give you a second chance given the high reviews given by my fellow burger lovers.

The Oreo milkshake here is DELICIOUS!! 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ <br/>I had a burger called “The Ranch”. The peri peri chicken had just the right about of heat. I often find in burgers that the heat either doesn’t come through or it doesn’t go with the rest of the ingredients. This was not the case with “The Ranch”.

Bit disappointed, had a cheeseburger, wasn’t anything special. Just be warned if you order a burger it doesn’t come with chips... you have to order them on the side. Which is really weird.

Albeit that it was a rainy day when we visited, the overall atmosphere was very warm and cosy. Tried the avo fries for the first time and for something one would think wouldn't work at all, they were absolutely delicious. The food was hearty and the service delightful.

Good location. Plenty of parking opposite the road. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Good energy with friendly staff giving customers plenty of attention. Burgers and tappas amazing. Very tasty and well presented. Decent drinks menu with some fun cocktails listed.

Staff friendly and helpful. Food is amazing. Cocktails are well prepared. The menu offers a variety of eating options. The pizzas, burgers and wings are excellent. Restaurant is always buzzing with people. Large screens inside accommodate for sport.

A lovely social little gem always full of young vibrant clients. We are old folks, so not our kind of place. We had hamburgers. Although very tasty, we found it a bit overpriced. Not ever chips with the meal? Staff was kind and friendly, great atmosphere but for the younger ones.

Went here today for a quick lunch with friends. The waitress was friendly and helpful. And it wasn’t too busy which we really enjoyed. <br/><br/>The food was okay. I had the sliders. They were really expensive for the portion and the rolls were really hard and didn’t taste great. My sisters “homemade” orange juice was actually just a concentrate hadn’t been stirred properly. <br/><br/>The place in general wasn’t very clean it felt dirty. <br/><br/>We definitely could have had a better experience, but will come again.

I paid R77 for 3 soggy and small jalapeño poppers. Ridiculous. I had a pizza for main with a chewy, thick base. It was never like this in the past. My friend had the boom boom burger which I tasted. We both found it bland. Luckily Tabasco was available to help out. Never again.

Unfortunately had a very disappointing recent trip here. Despite really enjoying the falafel veggie burger the last time, they didn’t have the falafel patty on this visit and gave me a mushy mess of a patty that spilled out of the burger. The onion rings were doughy and cakey, nothing like the crispy ones I’ve had before. Service was also shocking and it was hard to get any waitron’s attention throughout our time there. Really hope they improve their standards next time.

We went for the Rugby game day special. Staff are amazing. Space is abit cramped. But other than that its good. Just not the location to watch a rugby match.

I love the waitresses here. They are genuine, they have great banter, and are overall just the most helpful souls around. The two really cool managers (Sean and Sphokazi) are like angels and you can really see the love they have for their team. Nothing better than great food, and seeing hugs and laughs to add to an already cool atmosphere. I do not think this gets said enough. It is really nice feeling like someone genuinely cares for your needs, and here, they really do.

Went there on Friday afternoon and had thee cutest little ray of sunshine for a waitress. I can't quite remember her name but she was tiny with brown hair and a massive bow on the top of her head. Also had thee most wonderful experience with the manageress (Siphokazi I think?). Our waitress told us she is as wonderful to them (staff) as she was to us as customers and that says a lot about leadership. Everything was good, the food was timeous, and we never felt like we were left unattended. A good job to the team (or as our little waitress called it: "her family"). A really beautiful thing to see and experience!

my favourite frozen margarita in the whole of Cape Town! Hudson’s happy hour is always a must. Calzocini’s, Poppers our sliders are my go to’s. Sometimes the cocktails taste watered down during happy hour but the manager was more than happy to send over a new better one.

This place gets a 3 but that is ONLY due to the staff. The manager on Saturday was a really lovely lady, and the waitresses looked stressed but ALWAYS had smiles on their faces. And I found out why- at some point, a man who I later found out was the OWNER of the business treated the manager with such cruelty (bordering emotional abuse) for ALL of us outside to hear. The staff works so hard. They are such nice people. But the owner, I asked and I found his name was David, was the most terrible example of higher leadership/ownership I have ever witnessed. I was shocked. I cannot believe such lovely, intellectual (these girls are really smart-talk to them!), and hard working people could be subjected to such awful and relentless abuse from the very face of the business. Everyone could hear. Everyone was uncomfortable. But the girls pushed through (even though our waitress looked like she may have a panic attack- I do not blame her because EVEN I felt the same). They deserve a raise and he deserves to be shamed for treating his employees like they are less than human.

Hudson's burgers are always good, and they have a huge variety. My personal favourite is "The Shroom" - their mushroom sauce is delicious! I also really like the fact that you have so many options within each burger, such as how you can choose your patty. <br/><br/>This place can get rather loud in the evenings, so I would not recommend for having conversations.

Shaken & stirred!<br/><br/>On Tuesday 10 April 2018 we visited Hudson’s in Claremont. Friendly and warm welcome for 2 and 4 leggeds. Spacious, well lit, sheltered, outside area with heaters. <br/><br/>Delicious mixed pomegranate and lemom frozen margaritas. Good selection of burgers including Vegan/Vegetarian options. Yummy Nachos with chicken. Obscene popcorn milkshake for the extra hungry. Separate 250g beef burger for Raffa only R40! Gone in 4 gulps! <br/><br/>Great, friendly, efficient service, great drinks, yummy food, decent portions. Lively vibe and open till late so nice for night owls. Very dog friendly.

Hudson's Burger Joint - Claremont<br/><br/>Ordered the Wiseguy burger. 250g beef patty topped with a tomato relish, fresh chilli, jalapeno and rocket.<br/><br/>Thoroughly enjoyed this burger. It would have been better if I added a slice of cheese. All the ingredients were fresh and complimented each other well. They burger itself was well seasoned and juicy. I had the skin on fries as a side.<br/><br/>The service was excellent!<br/><br/>The only complaint I have is that you have to order and pay for your side separately. Most places at least give you one side with your burger.

Loved the food, adored the waiter and the vibe was really great. Highly recommended. Especially the milkshakes and cocktails. The burgers were really delicious as well and the cheesy fries were to die for.

Setting: In the heart of Claremont, there isn’t exactly a great view or ocean breeze for the restaurant to make use of. However, they make up for it with outside seating and a large, attractive bar that somehow creates a cool vibe where they might have been none.<br/>Service: Although Hudsons is usually synonymous with bad service, the experience we had was great. The waitress was attentive and prompt, and the friendly manageress also checked in on us once or twice.<br/>Food: All four of us had the special burger, which was absolutely delicious. We were asked how we would like our patties done, and although all four of us wanted it cooked differently, we were all pleased with our meals. The sweet potato and disco fries are an absolute must. 4 out of 5!

Loved my visit! Tried the burger of the month as suggested by the waitress. I must say one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had- beef patty stuffed with bacon jam topped with avo, cheddar, feta and battered onion rings. Service was efficient with a really lovely waitress. Only negative was that the beer was not cold.

The Claremont branch will probably always be my favourite one. The burgers and pizza’s need no introduction but their Falafel Taco’s are surprisingly good! I also like how they keep their menu relevant and updated - currently featuring a drought friendly burger and beer.

Super cool joint for lunch or supper. I really dig their burgers and appreciate the creativity that comes with it. They also have a cocktail hour from 16:30 - 18:30 everyday, where cocktails go for half price. I was really blown away by the size of the cocktails which definitely meets my happy hour needs. They also have a nice variety of items on their menu which includes burgers, pizza, sliders, salads and grills. We landed up ordering The Rockafella Burger @R78, The Player Burger @R95, a side of Loaded Fries @R45, a side of Sweet Potato Fries @R25. They also have 2 variations where you can order a 180 g pattie or 250 g pattie. The loaded fries sounds good but I personally won’t order it again as it’s not executed well. Other than that the food is delicious, the vibe is hip and young and the service is great.

The burgers are out of this work especially the jalapeño burger it's my favorite thing to eat ... The drinks during the happy hour are still to the same standard of normal hours unlike most restaurants.

There was 7 of us including the birthday girl. We walk in filled with anticipation and excitement, we were greeted with a good enough welcome but then got seated at a table for 4 maybe 5. We then asked if we could move to one of the bigger tables and with no hassle we were moved.  Then we sat for a while, eventually got some menus, then sat for another while, eventually got asked if we would like anything to drink. Received our drinks separately, luckily we could order once all of this settled down. My daughter had tacos...they were exceptional. Everyone else had their choice of goodies. I had the sweet potato fries and Meat Packing Sliders. the fries were great the Bacon Jam slider was amazing but the other 2 was unforgettable at best.

Pretty average. I ordered the vegan burger, it was pretty underwhelming. I don’t understand how a place could be named a burger joint, have such bland burgers. My husband eats meat and didn’t enjoy his neither.

I waited for over an hour and a half for my order to arrive via Uber Eats. Only after calling was the order implemented, and when the food arrived it was cold so had clearly just been sitting at the restaurant for ages and two burgers and a side order wasn’t there.

I had the best food and milkshakes here - almost all Hudsons never disappoint! Had a great time because of the atmosphere and tasty treats! Definitely go for the Nutella Choc milkshake the size of a soup bowl!

Great spot to come to for happy hour...which at this place is 2 hours long. Wow!!! It's always buzzing during this time, a cool spot to bump into new friends that are all interested in the same thing which is good food, good company and of course good drinks.

First time at this restaurant and I had an awesome time!! Our meal came on time, even though we were warned it could be a little wait when it is busy. I had the sweet potato chips - they were delicious! I had no idea what was nice and our waitress was so friendly (Sara??) and SO helpful!! I got the Lah Di Dahh based on her recommendation (I wanted something INTERESTING you know??) and wasn't disappointed!<br/><br/>Thank you Hudsons, loved it!

Great for after work drinks during happy hour. The cocktails are HUGE and their starters are also half price during happy hour. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy but it's a great vibe and the music makes up for it.

I actually love this Hudsons. The staff are always really friendly, the cocktails are great and the food is good :) I have been here a couple of times and I have always enjoyed it.

Popped into Hudsons Claremont for the first time in a long while this week and just wow! What ever has happened recently has made them up the game. Food was phenomenal, the shroom burger was ridiculous, waitress on point and Tendai (the GM I think) checking on our food and working the floor was something very rare to witness in Cape Town these days. Good on the team and management! 5 Stars!

Worst ever experience in Hudsons Claremont! Waited roughly 30+ minutes to be served raw patties! I ate mine to the the fact I was dying of sheer hunger and my brother couldn't stomach it at all! Really bad standard set here

Sadly a poor experience to the end of our first trip to Africa and Cape Town, especially after a recommendation from a friend back home in Ireland. Food wasn't bad, but arrived a bit cold and after complaining to our waitress (Martha? had been all smiles when we sat down) seemed more preoccupied with her phone then with our complaints. Was busy to be fair, but everything seemed a bit disorganised. The craic wasn't bad in the place, lively enough.

The service was on point, we had a really great waitress, Danielle,. Extremely friendly and engaged well with us. <br/><br/>The place is also really great, having some of the tastiest burgers. It was not really busy when we got there so I liked the chilled environment.

No doubt Hudson's burgers are nice. The vibe is always nice and the music is great. Good service too. You don't wait too long for food which is good if you're too hungry. I just don't get the concept of paying for fries separately from the burger. Those two are Bonnie and Clyde and should not never be separated 💀. Anyway, the cocktails here are amazing and they come in huge glasses. Lovely lovely place and very spacious.

The La Di Dah burger is one of it's kind. Never tasted anything like it before. Prepared with an ostrich meat patty and topped with German mustard and biltong shavings, it bursts once inside the mouth, adding just the right amount of Spice required to enjoy ostrich meat at it's quintessential form. A delicacy that is exclusive to the southern and south Eastern capes of South Africa.

Great burgers and vibe. Service can be a bit hit and miss but the the quality of food more than makes up for it. Truffle cheese fries were brilliant as were the Sliders.

Note to myself if Tiyaarah says something is delicious. She's lying. Respect......gone. Loaded fries notdelicious with a blob of cheese.. Jalapeno poppers way too doughy. Chicken wings were bland. Hudsons is trying to replicate Hooters in two ways - exploiting waitresses and serving sub-par food. If ogling young women while downing beers and chewing greasy burgers is your thing, then go for it. Each to their own.

The sliders and boss burger great as well and the load fries and milkshakes, especially the lindt brownie which is delicious. Great service and atmosphere.

Friendly service from the moment I walk in every time. I've been here a few times - both during the day and at night - and the restaurant is always has a good vibe. It gets quite loud though at night, but I guess that's part of the vibe.<br/><br/>The food takes a bit long to be prepared though, however everything I've tasted here is delicious. The battered onion rings are absolutely fantastic!<br/><br/>Overall: stylish and trendy place with tasty food and an upbeat atmosphere.

Eaten here hundreds of times. It's the default go-to place for students. They're always busy at night around the weekends, so be sure to book. <br/><br/>Their 'instashakes' are huge and well worth the money if you like milkshakes. I find pizzas are thin on base, cheese, and tomato base and would avoid, especially if hungry. I really enjoy their lentil patty and the newer falafel patty. It's convenient now that you can order for delivery; but I haven't had the best experiences through delivery.<br/><br/>Sometimes the kitchen can be a bit lazy when they're busy and not prep / present properly (ex: not slicing jalapeños and spreading toppings).<br/><br/>Happy hour is a huge WIN even if only for the half-price chili poppers.<br/><br/>I was never a fan of the service (impatient, sassy etc.), but it has definitely improved in my most recent visits.

The only reason I come to Hudsons is for their bacon jam burgers and cocktails lol. Otherwise the service is not that great. Always getting waitresses with sassy attitudes. Not cool.

Always a great vibe with great food! Last night in particular I was very impressed with the service from a lovely young lady named Lara who checked in on us at just the right time every time and made sure we were well taken care of! I enquired about a birthday sparkler and she let me know about the free birthday waffle which I ordered along with the lindt brownie milkshake for the birthday girl and both were absolutely to die for! Keep it up Hudsons!

Got there during happy hour with two of my good friends (around 6) and stepped into an already packed and vibey room. All starters and cocktails are half price during that time so we scored on food and drinks! Thoroughly enjoyed my grapefruit cocktail and my chicken and glazed onion calzones. We shared a bowl of Mac and cheese croquettes which was quite delicious too. A place I always come back to!

Hudson's is slightly on the pricier side but their drinks and food are worth it. Thankfully, half price on cocktails, beers on tap, and starters at Happy Hour every day from 4:30 pm till 6:30 pm lessens the burden on your wallet. The booths are large and roomy, very able to house large groups - which of course means that at Happy Hour, the restaurant can be a bit rowdy. Cocktails are generous in size and are quite potent - especially the margaritas. I would highly recommend the Truffle Cheese Fries, which will definitely leave you wanting more. Another item on the menu which deserves praise is "The One" burger which my partner adored for its sugar glazed bacon. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for "The Stack" burger. The chickpea and lentil patty was too dry and lacked in flavour, it also happened to fall apart when I cut into the burger. I would also suggest it having more goat's cheese. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon for another happy hour.

This was literally a quick in and out pop up at Hudson's mid exam studying. The service was really efficient and the the slider burgers were tender and flavorsome as usual. My friend also enjoyed his mushroom burger, overall it was a satisfying experience.

I had the ranch burger today - my favourite. The waitress initially got out order wrong but the service is usually good here. The food is pretty much always up to standard. Don't come here in the evenings though if you want to be able to hear other people properly at the table!

Hudsons, My favorite Claremont lunch spot.Their menu has everything from burgers to pizza's to insanely over sized milkshakes, I ordered the East village selection which is 3 mini burgers which have different toppings which is great if you're indecisive like me. Sides are ordered separately though. I also had the Amarula milkshake which was amazing! I was a bit overwhelmed. Service is excellent, I'll always be back ❤️

I came here with friends for lunch (burgers and milkshakes - which are huge by the way) on a busy Saturday. There are lots of tasty options to choose from as they cater for 'banting' or the undecided by way of sliders (3 small burgers). My favorite was the 'Shroom' burger with a divine creamy mushroom sauce. This place seems to be popular mostly among students but this could just be due to the location. The service, however, was ridiculously slow and our waitress forgot our order so had to check back with us - twice.

Great place and awesome vibe!! Had the best waitress ever! Her name is Sphokazi, and would highly recommend asking for her! Super friendly, very interactive and made our whole dinner ultra pleasurable! Will definitely come back!! <br/>Food was very good and service was quick considering how busy the Saturday night was!

Noise noise noise. There was a real loud buzz on Friday night and the place stayed full. As one group left another arrived to fill the table. We booked and when we arrived the people at our table were paying their bill!! Must mean something about what people think? We waited about 10 minutes with our drinks at the bar and were then shown to our tables. We then waited quite a while for service and had to call someone as they passed to get some attention. The food came fairly promptly considering how busy they were. I had The Boss burger which was excellent. The meat was tender, juicy and tasty. The other 3 in our party all had the Health Nut Chicken! It seams they liked it with tender, juicy chicken apparently cooked to perfection and certainly not dry. I had the Greek Side salad and Michele had skinny fries (with skins on!) and both were good. Good craft beer and good Don Pedro. Great night out. Just had difficulty hearing ourselves talk over the noise.

I only ever go here for the happy hour special as I find it to be too expensive during any other time of the day. The appetisers taste good - especially the tableside guacamole - but the portion sizes are very inconsistent. The strength and flavour of the cocktails is also very inconsistent and can range from drinks with absolutely no alcohol to drinks that seem to just be made up of alcohol. The service is generally horrendous and there have been one or two times when I do not tip  because of how bad the service was - Siphokazi is their saving grace though. I'm a creature of habit so I'll most likely be back again many times in the future but these guys really need to get their act together.

I am not a burger fan but really enjoyed the Hudson's chili burger . Nice and spicy. Burger to bun ratio was perfect with the sauce not smothering the party.

Service is pathetic to say the least - experienced this countless times and drinks are heavily watered down. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Hudsons is always a good idea for good burgers and good happy hour specials. Everything from their margarita's to their wine is worth it. Today we tried the mayo truffle fries and the chilli cheese fries; worth every penny especially topped up with their chilli sauce

I know that nobody goes to Hudson's for a cappuccino, but if you do find yourself ordering one, you won't be disappointed. The chicken strips appetizer is always a winner and the service is top class.

When it comes to happy hour half price cocktails this place is tough to beat. Having tried pretty much every single one on the menu, the Grapefruit Crush has to come in at number one for being so delicious and refreshing. Any competitors I should know about?<br/>The only downside is that it can be so busy, so get there when the happy hour starts (4:30!)

The tribeca selection is my favourite! Their cocktails arent too shabby either and they have a good vibe! I am a smoker and I find their smoking section a bit too small which can be off putting if theres no room in the smoking section, but not the end of the world :)

Their happy 'hour' literally makes my life. It's from 16:30 to 18:30 and it's half price on cocktails and starters. <br/>It's always buzzy at hudsons and the staff are all very friendly. <br/>I am a big fan of their chilli poppers, Calzoncini and pizzas. The pomegranate frozen margarita is a WINNER! <br/>Their burgers are tasty but doesn't fall into my top 10 burger joints in Cape Town. The other cocktails on the menu are mostly just ice ( we watched them make it already as you are able to sit at the bar  which is a little bit of a disappointment.

Seriously poor service very dissatisfied. Food good, specially burgers. Also not very kid friendly for a quick lunch, cocktails amazing so wife very happy..........

The drinks at Hudsons are a bit pricey but the milkshakes are creative and tasty, especially the oreo milkshake with bar one. The Pimms cup cocktail is a personal favourite as well. The food is flavourful but I have noticed an inconsistency in how they make the chips compared to the other Hudsons I've visited which was a let down. Your ideal meal at Hudsons is a cocktail and a juicy burger.

Do not come here during happy hour. Waited an hour for food and tables who arrived after us were receiving their orders before us. The waiters are really nice and doing the best they can, but the place is way to full to cater for.

Absolutely love their burgers but this branch definitely lacks where service is concerned. They brought us the wrong orders, waited 20 minutes for our 2nd round of drinks (they weren't busy) and the waitress charged us for extra items that we didn't order - we pointed it out to her and she said she knows and will take it off after we have paid!? Won't be going here again. Kloof str is best.

The food here is okay, but the service is terrible.I arrived with a group of friends and the first waitress completely forgot about us ,eventually leading us to call another ,which then got our order incorrect leaving us with drinks which we had not asked for , I am really disappointed with this Hudson's as I went to the one in green point and received much better service !

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. Waitress showed us to our table. Didn't bring menus. Wasn't attended to. Fetched the menus ourselves. No Waitress came to take our order. Went and Ordered drinks from the bar. Waitress came half an hour later to ask if we wanted food. Placed an order. Food didn't arrive for an hour. Waitress came after an hour to tell us that the system crashed. Terrible service

Honestly, so disappointed at the service here. It took us firstly, forever to find the parking. The food is not great in comparison to Hudsons on kloof and the secondly the food was cold. Lastly, the waitress just did not seem to be bothered. So no.

Last night i took wifey to Hudsons in Claremont. Wifey had the 3 sliders called the east village selection (one mushroom, cheese and the other called the wise guy) as well as the disco fries which is basically fries and a chilli sauce covered in real melted cheese and spring onion. (Dont be a hater she likes to eat lol ) I had the nachos and we shared the falafel soft tacos. It was actually surprisingly good for a student hang out - we really enjoyed it. I wish we could've had beef - but the meat isn't halal(why oh why) and I could taste it would've been really great had it been beef. Overall I'd rate them a 3.5 but their food was a 4 the ambiance itself just wasn't appealing to me personally.

Definitely the best Hudsons there is. The service is good. The cocktails are everything and the vibe of the whole place is great. It's a burger joint so you get there knowing what to expect, except I didn't expect to have the best burger I have ever had in my entire life!! Honestly. The food here is Great.

Went for the happy hour special with my friend and the prices were amazing. The starters were very filling and the lady that helped us was very nice. Hudsons in Claremont is a great place to meet friends for drinks or dinner. As their restaurant is much bigger than their branch in Kloof street, the waiting time for both food and drinks tends to be a little bit longer. However, both the food and cocktails are just as delicious as in other branches -always consistently good. With a pizza oven at this branch, there are some added menu items there. I have had the chicken calzoncini starter before which was good, and I have has a taste of a friend's 'The Blogger ' Pizza which was very good - nice thin crust!

Had a birthday party with around 20 friends there. Great tasting food and great service from Mathilde , our waitress , definitely going back. 🍴🍔

Unfortunately I found hair in my burger and lost my appetite. The manager didn't make me pay for my drink and meal which was kind of him however I think they need to make sure the staff handling food have their hair out of the way.

Burger challenge #5. I had the meat packing sliders. Which by far the best sliders to order from Hudsons. All 3 were good. Only problem it is so noisy inside it's almost impossible to have a conversation with a large group.

Cool meet up joint and extremely popular with the younger generation, especially students. Their burgers are great and well presented. Menu is varied and service is friendly and efficient😉

Received excellent service from Sphokazi, the food was amazing. I had their Brat Burger special and it was the best I have ever had!! Great Experience, definitely come again! Visiting Cape Town from Johannesburg, I will definitely recommend Hudson as a place of good food to friends and family!

The best place to be between 4:30 and 6:40 on a weekday is definitely at Hudsons happy hour. Half price drinks and half price cocktails are the best combo!<br/><br/>Despite Hudsons reputation as a burger joint, I find their burgers to be quite average. The pizza's on the other hand are delicious. Another thing I can't fault is Hudson's tapa menu. I've tried everything on there at least twice and have loved them every time. The crumbed chicken strips and the falafels are must try's!<br/><br/>Hudsons always has a great vibe and a buzzing atmosphere. On Friday's especially you definitely need to make a booking!

Hudsons is famous for their great atmosphere, burgers and milkshakes. I've always enjoyed the food at Hudsons. My favourite item on the menu is the cab driver pizza. The pizza is crispy and topped with rocket, chicken strips and the cab driver sauce. I've also enjoyed their Oreo milkshake and the Oreo waffle with ice cream. It's great spot to visit for cocktails and drinks during happy hour. The service is usually good.

I went to Hudsons in the afternoon and had a great service. The place had just opened and was not busy. I however did not like my burger, I chose the burger that had cheese inside the patty instead of real cheese on top of the patty. I will be going back soon to try out something else. Their Mojito was amazing.

Hudsons is crazy busy in the evenings, especially between 5-6pm which is the last of happy hour. I arrived during this buzz and so the only available seat was at the bar which turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The barmen are very friendly and attentive even though they're busy. I had a cappuccino and the shroom burger with chicken. It was nice but definitely not as amazing as the Vanilla Thunder! Why did they take that burger off the menu? It used to be my favourite and I haven't found a second best yet. All in all, always a good experience!

Working in the area, I occasionally come here for after work Happy Hour. Really lovely food (I had the guacamole, which was so fresh! And the chicken strips) and the vibe is good. I didnt give full 5 stars as the benches were uncomfortable (granted i have a big bum so benches are always uncomfortable for me). <br/>I wanted to specifically mention what a great waitress we had - I feel I've gotten so complacent in general eating out regarding average service, so I just want to say thank you to Bianca who looked after us. Went to Hudsons after ages this weekend. Sashen and I had our usual fav the ranch burger with sweet potato crisps and I tried something new, truffle mayo fries. I did find the truffle mayo fries to be a bit underwhelming, could hardly even taste the truffle. The burgers were great though, I could have had another one! We had a friendly waiter who was pretty efficient.

We had dinner this past Sunday evening at Hudson's. This used to be our local but unfortunately things were really not that great this time. The burgers we ordered were overcooked and definitely not medium rare and the menu states. The side slaw was really watery and the mayo was tasteless. The standard pizza was, well, very standard. Not nearly enough cheese and the tomato sauce used on the base really lacked seasoning. <br/><br/>The Dom Pedro's for dessert were not the best. It appeared as though The ice cream they used was the cheaper kind and full of icicles. It wasn't rich, smooth and creamy. The chocolate browny was rock hard, cold and tasted of the beef burger!! So weird and So disappointing. This was of course served with the dreaded ice cream...<br/><br/>Hudson's has changed some of their menu and increased their prices, but their food really isn't nearly as good as it used to be. From our experience last night it seems like they are cutting costs with food/ingredients that they should not be... I hope it was just one bad night. Our waitron, Tarryn, was brilliant and she quickly rectified the brownie situation and took it off the bill.

I've been to this branch on a number of occasions. Great service and the food is always so flavourful! On this occasion I tried a beef burger topped with bacon jam and cheese and a side of disco fries. Went to Hudson's this evening for dinner/drinks with some friends after Uni. I had the Highline Salad and it was really amazing. It's an Ostrich patty over blue cheese with cos lettuce, rocket, cucumber, avo, crispy bacon & a boiled egg. It does come with a vinaigrette dressing but I asked for mine without it and drizzled olive oil and balsamic over mine instead. The ostrich patty was very juicy and the salad had a good texture and flavour. It was the first time I have ever had one of the salads at Hudson's and I can honestly say I would definitely order it again. <br/><br/>As usual the place was buzzing and had a really good energy!

I am a regular at this particular restaurant and have been going for years. However, I have noticed from this year, that the new staff are incredibly slack. The past few times I have come here, the waitresses are extremely slow. They are lazy and rarely check up on my table. On one occasion, they brought me my food without a knife or a fork. When I asked for some, it came 15 minutes later, by then my food was cold. This has happened multiple times and has made me reluctant to return.<br/><br/>On a positive note, the food is delicious and the cocktails are outstanding. The service for me has definitely brought the name of this place down

Myself and about 14 mates were here for my mate's birthday and it was chilled. The food was good, the vibe was cool and the service wasn't too sloppy considering how full the place was. I must say the pizzas weren't too impressive. Very tasty to say the least, but it's not exactly filling.

Their burgers are good however there are definitely better burger bars around Cape Town and those tend to include chips! Service is a bit slow but if you just want to grab a burger with friends the vibe is festive.

Im such a regular at Hudsons Claremont, it's always an obvious go-to option for a easy going lunches and dinners. I went to Hudsons on Woman's day for the 4:30 half price specials. I orderd my the Calzochinj with chicken. It's simply amazing!!!! There's some mouth watering saucy onions in it, with chicken and melted mozzarella. It also came with a spicey sauce, which is so addictive. My favourite go to drink is the frozen Margarita in a 1ltr jug!! I die over this type shiz! It's so good. I had 2jugs by myself. So much fun with my friends too. Super chilled atmosphere and very warm&inviting waiters! Defs a go to for a chill out the your mates!

The service was slow because they only had 3 waitresses on one of the busiest days of the year (seeing that month end was during the weekend). The food was good although it took forever.

This place is known as the local hangout after a long day at work/varsity. And you only need to arrive to see why. The half price special on drinks and starters has everyone pinching themselves. It is usually packed to the brim with people in good spirits and friendly waitresses scurrying around.

Impeccable service! The waiter was extremely friendly, always making sure we had what we needed. <br/><br/>The aura of the actual restaurant was amazing with dim lights and good music. Perfect for good company and good food. <br/><br/>The food was exemplary, flawless to say the least. We ordered two starters, which was the Triple Cheese Chilli Poppers and the Free Range Crumbed Chicken Strips. I was particularly chuffed about the poppers because it wasn't too spicy but it satisfied the craving. <br/><br/>For mains we had The Ranch burgers which was immaculate. Chicken was tender and the sauce on the burger itself was unique. One of the best burgers I've ever tried (So good I had to devour it immediately and was not able to take a photo of it). The only downside was that we had to order sides because it did not come with any. We had to wait a while for our main meal, but I assumed that quality takes time and indeed I was not disappointed. <br/><br/>Overall, the ambience was great and the restaurant wasn't overcrowded, probably because it was a Tuesday evening. I am pretty sure that they are jammed on the weekend because their food is to-die-for. <br/>

Half price cocktails and appetiser before 6:30. Cocktails tried: granadilla mojito, berry something (had gin) and a grapefruit crush. All very nice. Granadilla and grapefruit not as sweet as the berry so more up my alley. Appetisers: chicken strips. Crunchy and good Mayo. Calzone rolls: liberal with the bacon making them yum! Service was good considering the place was packed! Worth going all the way to the one branch in Joburg when I'm back!

Sunday afternoon Cocktails with my friend. And it was so good . Friendly staff good food. And i had the Best crushed grapefruit ever ! Not forgetting those deep friend oreos yum yum yum!

The hudsons happy hour special in the week is an ultimate bargain! I love the calzoncini and the crumbed mushrooms. Their cocktails are super delicious and I'm convinced they make the best cosmopolitan in cape town. Their burgers are great too, the shroom being my favourite. This branch is really welcoming and always on point with timeous service and a warm atmosphere.

Well we all kind of know what Hudsons is like, right? All I have to offer is that I ordered a blogger pizza (go figure) without goats cheese and asked for avo instead and they forgot my specifications and brought me the normal blogger pizza. I explained I hate goats cheese, sorry and they made the pizza I was after in like 5 mins and gave it to me for free. So #winning! Lol

I must admit that this is my favourite of all the Hudsons<br/><br/>Personally not a fan of their burgers, they are pretty average (and a little over priced for what you're getting if you ask me) but their frozen margaritas, chicken strips and disco fries are sensational.  The staff is super friendly and their service is lightning fast, this paired together  general atmosphere and the fact that cocktails, beers and starters is the makings of a pretty legit "Happy Hour Spot".

Classic burger joint that is very popular. Casually setting with a good selection of burgers and drinks. I'm a fan of the wise-guy with added cheddar and a side of sweet potato crisps. A real winner!

I was still keen to try the Hudsons' burgers despite my negative experience at the Parkhurst branch in Joburg. So on a trip to Cape Town I found myself near the Claremont branch and thought I'd pop in. The service was friendly and quick to my relief. I had the meat packing slider combo which was delicious. One of the burgers had a lamb patty topped with battered pickles. Damn it was good! If you are going to park in the parking lot in front of the restaurant be sure to bring cash as they don't have credit card facilities and the closest ATM is in Cavendish shopping centre.

Hudsons is a typical student spot. The atmosphere is great for just drinks, or a casual night out. <br/>For starters we had Chilli Poppers. The serving was a good size but I wasn't really able to taste the Jalapeño because the coating is quite thick. We found that their burgers weren't very tasty. I had 'The Stack' and my friend had the 'Eastern slider'. Luckily they have nice sauces on the table and gave us fresh chilies on the side. Our pizza was ok. Again, nothing great. I was slightly disappointed with the food. Their milkshakes on the other hand, are quite good!

I have been to this Hudson's an uncountable amount of times. The food is always good. I was very upset to hear that the poppa trunks was taken off the menu!! My friends and I are so disappointed. Many people thought it was the best burger on the menu. Please bring it back 🙏🙏

This is one of my favorite hudsons. Be it happy hour or any normal time, the service is amazing and the food is always of quality regardless of the crowd. <br/>They have a variety of cocktails that are all so good. <br/>The cab driver is my favorite pizza whilst the shroom is my favorite burger.

A great standard place for students. Hudsons has an excellent happy hour with very good specials. It's quite pricey when there aren't specials for what it is. The food is delicious, the cocktails are wonderful and the milkshakes are excellent.

I waited over 40 minutes for my meal but we did have a very friendly waitress. I had the bacon burger and my sister had sliders. The sliders were very dry but my burger was excellent and the drinks were very nice although we do wish we could have had them with our meal.

Hudsons Claremont has great service and the staff can handle the influx of people during happy hour quite well. But I had a negative experience once with a burger, which is what they're known for. The burger was overcooked and not as tasty as usual. I was there quite a bit earlier than their peak hour but this is no excuse to serve a burger that is mediocre; especially considering this means there was more time to prepare the burger because the restaurant was empty. The prices are good for what you're getting, especially during happy hour, but it can get quite crowded when people are flocking around the bar area and all the tables are jam-packed. The sliders they offer are very tasty and perhaps bring more to the table than the regular sized burgers - this is either a negative or positive thing. I would recommend going to this restaurant for a few drinks after work with friends and grabbing some grub with that - sliders are best.

The first impression of Hudsons is that it's Hudsons. It's a crowd favorite, pretty much. I've been a few times but my only full-on meal there was tonight. We sat outside, which was really nice. The vibe is super chilled, especially on this particular Sunday.<br/><br/>The service can be slowish during their busy times which is so very understandable like almost not worth mentioning (they get VERY busy during and after rugby games.) Tonight, however, our service was really very very good. Our waitress' name was Sphokazi and she was wonderful! There's also really great support from the rest of the team so thats<br/><br/>The food was really good, as always. We all had burgers except for one who had the falafel tacos which were apparently amazing. I personally chose to try the sliders because I suck at making decisions. Everyone was really very happy with their food. The milkshakes also went down a treat- especially the brownie and the fudge ones which came with a clump of each respectively. The highlight for those who had them were the deep fried Oreos! I've tried the poppers and the macaroni croquettes before and they're both delicious starters that will keep me coming back, especially for their happy hour half price <br/><br/>Their drinks menu is relatively extensive and the wine is normal-priced but some of the craft beers are a little expensive for my taste.<br/><br/>Hudsons isn't the cheapest dining experience (unless you make good use of the specials) but it sure is a good one!

Nothing better on a Friday after work than to have drinks and snacks at Hudsons. We love the relaxed style dining at long tables and having the late afternoon sun warm or backs through the high windows looking up at the Newlands mountain.<br/>Being crazy about chilli poppers, I had their bacon wrapped version with crumbed chicken strips. Hubby had tribeca sliders: the pkayer, the shroom abd the boom boom. Cheesy, chilli gooeyness at its best. <br/>Lots of beers and craft beers to choose from we had Peroni & Jack Black.<br/>Utterly fab!

Possibly one of the best burgers I had in my entire life! We ordered it with a side of disco fries ( it takes a while to get used to the texture and taste) and deep fried oreos for dessert(yummy!). The waitresses are really friendly and full of energy - but they did bring the wrong drink...

Popped in after the Stormers game at Newlands. Despite it being full service was good and waitress friendly. Drinks and food were really good. Loved the battered onion rings. Burgers are well priced and even though you pay separately for sides if you add them it's still practically the same price as a spur burger meal and much better quality. Will definitely return.

However, as a blogger I do feel that providing constructive criticism is part and parcel of being a credible source of information. <br/><br/>Hudsons gets a 2.5 from me for being a clean, neat establishment with good food and a worthy concept. I have no doubt it is a Cape Town institution of note. <br/><br/>But I really need to call Hudsons out on their mission to employ skinny, young White waitresses only. What is up with this? It sometimes becomes counterproductive because of their attitudes and vexingly short attention span. I admire the fact that they are trying to maintain a specific theme and look, but I find this a little Nazi-ish, especially in our tenderly emerging democracy. <br/><br/>You can't say that I'm not being fair here because I belong to the same age group, and I weigh like 45 kilograms, so it's not like I have reason to judge these girls from an outsider perspective. And while I've encountered some gentle waitresses who are helpful (because it's definitely not only a race thing, but more of an age group thing as well), some of them look at me as if they're trying to consider whether I'm worthy of being waited on. <br/><br/>The proof of the pudding lies with my last uneasy visit to Hudsons. I order a wide variety off the menu when I review establishments - this should really be a good thing for the place in any case, or so I thought. The waitresses ignored me for a good ten minutes. It seemed more important for them to spend time fraternizing with their manager and fellow waitresses. <br/><br/>Upon getting up and going to this "cool crowd" that didn't see need to invite me into their little party, I diplomatically requested a menu and some service. Still disinterested by my plight to get a decent meal at this joint, the waitress blithely disregarded me in taking down my order a further few minutes later. It was at this point that I almost decided to get up and leave. I gave Hudsons the benefit of the doubt because honestly, I did have better experiences in the past. Maybe they were having an off-day whereby they all were being hassled with the mere awe of their own being? Who knows? I certainly don't care, in any case.<br/><br/>After receiving my jalapeño poppers (the order was wrong, by the way because I requested an extra dipping sauce with the poppers), I tried to keep my calm when the waitress carelessly threw the dishes and drinks down in a hasty quest to rejoin her group of 'friends'. I did not get a chance to remind her about the correct order because of her haste. Staying committed on this path to eat at Hudsons, and eat what I ordered, I gestured for her return, twice. When she came back, I had to politely reprimand her. I waited for her to return and take my order for mains.<br/><br/>Waited and waited. I then got up in frustration, approached the 'cool crowd' and had to announce to her that I'd be ordering other items from the menu so it would be great if she saw fit to come by my table whenever she felt it was convenient. Having been too indifferent to observe the underlying sarcasm and annoyance in my words, she vacantly responded with, "oh, you're ordering more food?!" with a tone suggesting that she probably didn't think it was okay for me to eat some more. I'm not so sure you understand how tips work but it's kind of calculated based on how much I eat. I just saw it as my duty to maybe educate you on that for next time you try to stop another thin girl from overriding her holy diet with a main meal (Gasp!).<br/><br/>In hindsight, it seems as though I was such a burden to the staff at Hudsons Claremont. I profusely apologize for the troubles, and I shall in fact compensate you by never coming back again. I sincerely do hope this can suffice. <br/><br/>PS: The poppers and Nutella waffle were good though! Keep that up. Maybe try focusing on getting good food to the customers without all these glitches? Good luck with that! :)

I usually don't eat burgers, but when I do it's only at Hudson's for their Sliders.<br/><br/>I ordered the Tribecca sliders. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the right proportions made my mini burgers easy to eat, instead of it being sloppy. The only issue I had was with my skinny fries - because they just weren't skinny. They were normal fries served to us, and when we asked why, the waiter replied that they don't know why the fries aren't being cut into the shape of skinny fries. It's a bit of a let down, because Hudsons skinny fries are usually so tasty - but today it just had no taste at all.<br/><br/>I ordered the passion fruit for the first time there, and it's definitely my new favorite drink here! You can actually taste just how fresh the ingredients are and it comes through in the taste.<br/><br/>Overall, this place is still my favorite to gobble down a burger 👏🏻 @

Strawberry daquiris and chilli poppers are a firm favourite of mine at Hudson's. Make sure to hit up happy hour on weekdays for extra value for money! The pizzas are pretty average but the burgers are obviously what you come here for. The Shroom and the Cheese are my personal choices, paired with the sweet potato fries for a delicious meal 😊

Hudsons - Claremont<br/><br/>Hi fives and man hugs a plenty. Maybe it just an age thing.<br/>Heard about all the rave reviews for this eatery and decided to give it a late Friday afternoon visit. Timing could probably have been a bit off, hence the irritation.<br/><br/>Arrived mid-way through the half price cocktails and beers on tap session and no surprise the venue was packed to the hilt. Ushered into a corner with menus and left to our own.<br/><br/>While waiting for our cocktails and ginger ales did a spot of 'person watching'. Have yet to be in a venue that delivers so many man hugs, fist greetings, wasups, hey girl and love you bae in a while. As said before, must be an age thing.<br/><br/>On to the main reason why I was there in the first place. Drinks arrived - at half price – and half speed. In fairness, it was busy and the waitron had to navigate through the high fives .The Hudson pale ale draught eased the pain. The strawberry daiquiri did marginally outshine the draught.<br/><br/>For mains, decided to opt for the well documented and all the rave TriBeCa sliders (Three miniature 60gr beef burgers). Really not much to write home about unfortunately. The buns were dry and the patties tasteless and overdone. Toppings and the portions of fries where there and there about but also not much too high five about. The table sauces - Hudson peri peri and barbeque did restore some dignity to the dish.<br/><br/>In Summary<br/>Maybe just the wrong time of day to visit, unless you there to top up for the evening ahead. Service was mediocre - see above – the meal was overpriced for what you get and really never met expectations all round.<br/><br/>On the plus side however, Hudson’s  is obviously the trendy place to be and be seen at, it seems. I have been to Hudson's a ton of times since first year. My last visit was 2 weeks ago with some friends.<br/><br/>My favourite item on their menu is definitely the cab driver pizza and it is always my first choice. I love that the base is always thin and crispy.<br/><br/>I have tried a few of their burgers on the menu (both chicken and beef) and find them to be average.<br/><br/>I have never heard anyone of my friend's complain about their food over the years so they are consistent in that regard.<br/><br/>However, I find the service to be poor. The waiters always look frazzled and they often forget about your table or the glass of water that you ordered.

I love Hudsons as a franchise! I often find myself at the Stellenbosch branch but last night I ventured out to the Claremont Hudsons. I must say it was just lovely. I ate myself silly. Went with a friend and we had their side table guacamole and bacon wrapped poppers for starters which were the ultimate. We arrived at Hudsons just before half past 6 making the special which included half priced starters, cocktails and beers on tap which really knocked quite a bit off our bill! I had the burger of the month Guido style and she had the boss. Both on point in terms of presentation and taste. I like the new menu, it offers a wide range of options but not too many which could cause one to be overwhelmed which I appreciate. I had the banting cauliflower as a side and it proved to be rather tastey. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff (waitresses, managers as well as the runner) were friendly and attentive and the vibe was great. Even though it was pretty much a full house we didn't have to wait for our drinks or food for long. Good service, good outing, excellent food!

Had a wise guy and disco fries. I really enjoy heat so I was disappointed that the chilli advertised by the menu was not prominent. If you add the peri peri sauce that is on the table is adds the heat I needed so I enjoyed the meal

My son loves Hudsons - we were persuaded to go today - Sunday lunch. We were disappointed with the food. I had The Boss burger which was pretty average to me. Tge sweet potato wedges were horrible and oily we sent it back and asked that they give us regular fries - these were way below standard - the Wimpy makes better fries. I complained and the waitress apologised and we were not charged. I cannot complain about the service - our waitress was very sweet. But food wise we were disappointed - not sure if the chef was just not in the mood.

I really love Hudsons! It's always got such a buzzing vibe to it all times of the day. Their happy hour specials are really awesome offering a bunch of cocktails that come in massive glasses! Dinner time there is also just as good, and you HAVE to go there to have their burgers. My favourite are the sliders since I always struggle in deciding on only one burger. <br/>The dessert though...wow...deep fried Oreos?? Since when! They were delicious and indulgent (unfortunately no pic because we gobbled them up so quick).<br/>I'm also quite happy to see that the service is much more friendly than they used to be, yay! <br/>I'll be back very soon

Okay, so I visited hudsons on Wednesday after work with a few colleagues. I've been to hudsons before and enjoyed it every time except for the average customer service received at the Claremont and green point branch. We arrived there at 6 to catch the last bit of the happy hour rush, which might I add it was insane. You guys had no running water and you were under staffed. My waitress was in experience and didn't even know what was on the menu. We spent about R1650 with you for this sitting and expected a lot more. We waited extremely long for our and drinks. When our drinks did arrive it was incorrect or they just didn't arrive. There were items on the bill that we ordered and we didn't receive. I ended up taking a take away pizza which was "the local" it was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. It was dry with hardly any cheese or anything for that matter on it, the base over cooked and tough. You have seriously lost 6 customer due to this disgusting evening. Vibey, good service and delicious food. I love all the Hudsons' , but the Claremont branch is my favourite by far. I always go for happy hour (16.30-18.30) and get my favourite, 'porky poppers' - massive jalapeños stuffed with cheese, deep fried in a thick batter, wrapped with crispy bacon and served with a mild blue cheese dipping sauce. To die for. Their cocktails and beers are half-price too!! Only complaint is the music - rock & roll during the crazy busy happy hour makes it difficult to talk.

I've been to this hudsons branch most often compared to any other. Love the atmosphere and seating. As a vegetarian, the veg patty is great and my only qualm is that they don't serve a side with their burger as you've got to order you side.<br/><br/>On my most recent visit we went for their happy hour specials which is quite a steal. We had the chilli poppers, calzone and tacos. The first two were great but my friends were disappointed with the tacos. They were also really busy and our drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. <br/><br/>Overall, it's a great spot with friendly staff, a vibing atmosphere and good burgers.

There burgers are all pretty good - my faves are The Game and Vanilla Thunder. <br/><br/>Their week day happy hour is very popular: half price beers, cocktails and starters. <br/><br/>I went there yesterday with some friends and it was a good time. Be warned: the tacos are no good but the calzocinis are amazing.

Ever been to Hooters in the US? Cos this place felt like a classier version of Hooters, don't stare now. Really large selection of great brea.. burgers (burgers are their thing), beers and spirits. Service is exclusively female and large bre... prompt and friendly. Becomes ridiculously packed with trendy young people from the Southern burbs on Friday and Saturday evenings, you have been warned.

Our family of 4 wanted a quality burger experience and that's we got at Hudson's (Kloof Street). <br/>The service was friendly and fast, the vibe and music good and the burgers were flavourful. The variety of burgers leaves you wanting to visit over and over again.<br/>Drinks were cool; craft beer and a great alcoholic ginger beer.

FANTASTIC experience at Hudsons, Claremont. I was last here about a year ago and I was extremely disappointed by both the food, and the service. Tonight we were served by a competent, attentive, speedy waitress named Matilda. THANK YOU for making our experience an enjoyable and pleasant one. What fantastic service, and DELICIOUS burgers. The service here was so bad I got up and spoke to four waitresses after sitting for 20 min not being offered so much as a menu. And still no one came! We would have left altogether but everywhere nearby was closed. The burgers when they came were okay. Not bad but I have had better. Con brio's burger is about ten times better.

If you love burgers it's definitely a must. But on the same note if you want a delicious cocktail with your meal it's a complete match maker. They have this really delicious lemon maragne cocktail it is so yummy feels like you eating a piece of cake. But it's a cocktail.

Having tried the sliders and the beef ribs I feel like I need return at some point and have a standard size burger simply because nothing I've had has left me impressed. Other than the fries. The fries are crispy and yummy. The 60g patties were overcooked (which is what happens with tiny pieces of meat) and the patty to bun ratio is off. Every slider was dry despite two of them being sauced. You're just going to have a better product if you increase the patty weight to around 80g. But I'm not Hudson so it's not my call. The ribs were quite fatty though there was a good smokey flavour somewhere in there. That was the only thing going right for that poor, dead cow. I definitely would not order these again. Underwhelmed.

Great food and absolutely AMAZING Pimms jug! Definitely worth a try. The salads are as amazing as the burgers. You won't be disappointed.

I actually jut had to edit my old good review of Hudsons , the food is always good no doubt. But please UP YOUR COCKTAIL GAME GUYS???? it's unacceptable. I'm actually tired of going there and hoping it's better. <br/>The drinks have no flavor, none !!! Ive had many cocktails there and they never taste good, ive had most of the long islands, mojito, gin julep and the berry press is actually the only one that can get a 2 out of 5 rating in terms of flavour. The others are filled with ice, im literally paying R48+ for ice. <br/><br/>I recently went there last week and had the giant gin julep again which had just ice and my friend who had never tried the cocktails before had the grapefruit cocktail and the presentation was also so bad omg , it tasted as bad as it looked. Hudson's is always a good spot to satisfy a burger craving. This particularly branch has slightly slowere service than the Kloof and Greenpoint branches. For lunch today both my fiancé and I had the sirburger (in support of November) which is a bacon wrapped patty with a sweet potato hashbrown. It was a great burger, the only downside being that the bacon on the outside could've been a bit crispier. The nutella milkshake is also a winner

I first experienced Hudsons a year ago. Best burger of my life. The pulled pork was to die for. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Service was okay, nothing to write home about, but not too bad.

Went to Hudson's for some celebratory food and cocktails! The burgers never fail to disappoint. Always so delicious - especially the chili ones. Service is good too. I find it to be quite laid back but also on the ball. Cocktails are pricey though.

I like the vibe of hudsons and the service is always good. I've enjoyed the burgers and milkshakes in the past. I tried the chili poppers today (they were in a list of the top chilli poppers in ct) but I was a disappointed. The batter was oily and the chillis not particularly great. My friend really enjoyed his burger, though it still annoys me that fries are a separate cost. Overall a nice place to eat but not the best in Cape Town

Hudson's Claremont has a bigger menu than Kloof and a more relaxed, if "Southern Suburbs" vibe than Green Point. Check the burger-of-the-month - October is a good one. Consistently good food and service.

Hudsons Claremont consistently delivers delicious dishes time after time. Pretty much any dish on the menu lives up to its description and bursts with flavor and is cooked correctly. Exciting new cocktails such as the ginger mule (in mega sized glasses) are definitely a reason to keep coming back. A personal favorite is the chili poppers - large and bursting with a mixture of cheeses and served with a tomato salsa. The only downfall is that the batter can sometimes be a bit too soft and lacks that extra crunch one desires in a popper. Sometimes service can be slow due to the restaurant being super busy and the music is pumped too loud on top of a full room of patrons competing to be heard. However, one will always come back for the amazing food and drinks.

If I had reviewed this Hudson's after the first few times I went, my rating would have definitely been closer to 5. I love Hudson's and rave about the quality of their burgers all the time but I was particularly disappointed in our experience tonight. It was just me and my mum for a dinner date and I've been wanting to show Hudson's off to her for ages, in spite of her fear that a "burger joint was for a crowd too young for her". As most kids think, parents are always wrong and this must be proved to be so. <br/><br/>Upon arrival, we were invited to wait at the bar because our reserved table had not yet been vacated by the previous customers. We were then taken to our table but saw no sign of a waitress for at least 10 minutes. I caught the attention of a waitress who was not allocated to us but who took our food order anyway. So we had ordered our food before anyone even offered to open our wine. <br/><br/>We do BYO wine, and tonight I selected a special Chenin Blanc to share that needed to be served cool. However, it took about 25 minutes, after speaking to both managers and asking who our allocated waitress was AND kindly asking someone to bring us some wine glasses, for someone to eventually open our bottle. Nevermind that the waitress didn't bother offering to pour for us.<br/><br/>Thank goodness our burgers didn't take long and they were absolutely delicious, as I had ensured my mum they would be. She said she finally understood why I raved so much about Hudson's burgers but if they weren't good, I think I would be rating it no higher than 2 out of 5. <br/><br/>The lack of service we received tonight and being ignored for so long left a bad taste in my mouth. I can accept that Hudson's is a busy joint, especially on a Friday night, but I don't think that a standard level of customer service is too much to ask. The burgers are good, I'll give them that, but not even a juicy 180g Wise Guy beef patty is good enough to bring me back again soon for dinner. Next time I go it will be for lunch. On a week day. I simply don't believe that this Hudson's is coping efficiently with high capacity and delivering a satisfying level of service.

I really enjoy the uniqueness of their menu. Such delicious, flavorful food and good value for money. Very friendly staff and very accommodating with menu changes. We're vegetarian and they make any burger on their menu vegetarian if you request it. We had the 3 mini burger option which are set options but they allowed me to switch one of them to something else. It's usually busy so you need to book and accept that service will be a bit slower if they're busy. But we were very happy with our service and the manager, waitresses and cleaning staff were all friendly.

One of my favourites spots for lunch, drinks or dinner. The drinks specials are fantastic and the service is always very good with very friendly staff.<br/><br/>No matter which burger you order you are going to really enjoy it. Loved the fact that outside was warm and sunny to chill with a virgin granadilla mojito, some beer and great burgers . The original royalle was tasty and when the forgot the avo, they gave me double - yum!! When we ordered brownies we thought they would be flat but wow, these were huge and delicious - definitely their speciality 😘😘😘

I prefer the hudsons in green point to the one here but nonetheless, their cocktails never disappoint. Tried the pimms cup and its oh so yummy !!! And the fresh fruit is plentiful so be careful if you want to go big foodwise, it might be a bit too much. The rockstar pizza is really delicious and although we went half half it was still very filling (unless that is because of the cocktail!). Service isnt too great though. Waiters take AGES. I

I visit Hudsons quite a lot as you can never go wrong with any of their burgers!! I love the idea that you can order a "slider" which is basically 3 smaller burgers. I love being able to chose more than one thing- so being Abe to chose 3 different burgers is always a win for me! <br/><br/>Their cocktails are amazing- especially how they are presented- sometimes in like coffee plungers etc. waitresses are always friendly and there is always such a great vibe. Hudsons has slowly become quite the institution in Claremont. Their burgers are flavorsome with many different topping options that cater to all foodies. What's a bonus is their happy hour half price cocktails and starters in the early evening. Delish!

I always love Hudson's for great burgers that might not be "gourmet" per se, but have lots of combos and choice. I've had the veg options (lentil version, and chickpea burger, both of which have been great).<br/><br/>Service in Claremont was slow and nonchalant, and even if this is the "vibe", it's not amazing. It could also just have been a busy day, but is that ever an excuse for apathy?<br/><br/>I'd still come back again and again for great fare.<br/><br/>Don't forget to order sides if you want them, as main meals aren't coated with them. The deep-fried Oreos are sensational (I had a bite - yum)

Been here a couple of times now. Tried the pizza for the first time tonight - the Rockstar - and was delicious. However, service is normally what let's it down. Waited 15 minutes to get menus and then a while longer for drinks and food respectively. Nice vibe in the restaurant though albeit music a tad loud. Think better for a large group instead of a intimate meal for two.

I love Hudson's. All of the branches are decent but this is my favourite, perhaps because I go there so often. The service isn't great (a bit slow) but the food definitely makes up for it. Our favourite is to go for their half price cocktail and starter special (before 6) and we always get the calzoncini (peri per chicken, obvs), porky poppers (like normal chilli poppers but wrapped in BACON) and the salmon crostini. Yum, and cheap!

Overpriced and not tasty at all, Chips were not even included. Its a student pub at best. Very overrated, save your money and try somewhere else.

Hudsons has become the new institution of burgers on South Africa. The standard that this franchise achieves is quite impressive although I prefer Cape Town over Johannesburg. <br/><br/>I had the feta, avo, and bacon burger was was once again awestruck by the amount of flavour that was packed in. My friend had the pizza and was also suitably impressed. This really is a great restaurant. The service was great with our waitress really looking after us despite the late hour. She was full of smiles and we appreciated it! The decor is relatively modern and consistent with other Hudsons so no surprise. <br/><br/>I genuinely can't wait to come back here hey. If not to Claremont then to the other outlets of this great franchise.

Definitely my favourite burger joint in Cape Town. Their chilli poppers are mind blowing and the burgers simply delicious. Do yourself a favour and get the disco fries as a side. You will not regret it. The only thing keeping it from getting a 5 rating is the service which ranges from average to poor. It's not a fine dining establishment so it's more of an irritation than a serious detracting from the whole experience.

I have heard about the burgers and beer at Hudsons so naturally I had check it out for myself.<br/><br/>I opted for the bacon wrapped chilli poppers. My mind was blown. Absolutely delicious, best chilli poppers in the world. Battered with a light beer batter, stuffed with cream cheese and mozzarella and wrapped in bacon...what is there not to like!<br/><br/>I couldn't make up my mind which burger to try, there are loads of options, so I did some sliders. All 3 were yummy! Hard to pick a favourite, but for me, The Shroom stood out the most.<br/><br/>The variety is amazing, there is a burger style to suit everyone, even vegetarian options, and I am not talking about just another salad bun. <br/><br/>My suggestion...go there when you are really hungry. Burgers are huge! <br/><br/>The milkshakes also looked amazing. Next time I will try a shake with my burger.<br/><br/>Service was average, not bad but not exceptional. We had 3 different waitresses serving our table. <br/><br/>

Best cocktails my tastebuds have ever experienced! They're huge and totally worth it. Above you see a berry crush, granadilla daiquiri, strawberry daiquiri & a berry mojito All taste explosions and I'll definitely be returning with hopes that next time the staff is friendlier and have better inter personal skills.

Really looooove the wings and this wasn't my first time here, I usually don't enjoy the chips but today they were REALLY good. The service was amazing, our waitress Siphokazi (she should get a raise) was extremely attentive and friendly, we left her with a pretty good tip because she deserved it. In addition to the BBQ wings, I had the TriBeCa selection , the peri peri sauce on the side is amazing ! Overall, it was a really good meal

The vibe at Hudsons is always great. We were welcomed by the sweetest and most attentive waitress (Siphokazi). The service was really impressive. The food took some time to get to us but it was worth the wait. Their sliders are delicious and I love the fact that you get a variety of flavours from the three different burgers. It's an excellent place to go with a large group of friends, you will definitely have a good time.

You have to visit Hudson's Claremont just to try their burgers and milkshakes as they are the best - and not bad value for money either! However your experience is normally only as good as your waiters and this can be hit and miss, especially at busy times but if your happy to *possibly* not have the best service and want good food, round up some friends and be sure to try their amazing menu!!

I love Hudson's! The burgers are legit and they have a good selection of craft beers! I always try to go if Im in CT. Single guys will enjoy the waiters, if thats what you are into.

Definitely not called a burger joint for nothing! Burgers are great, and they do not lack on variety! Happy Hour is a win especially for students or anyone on a tight budget that want to enjoy Hudsons beers/ciders and appetizers for half price. Great vibe. But I'm finding that the service is drastically decreasing in quality. Waited 35mins for a bottle of wine. Definitely think service needs a bit more polishing.

We’ve been to Hudson’s a number of times since they opened up in Claremont and while the food has always been pretty good, the service is hit and miss... (with management getting super defensive if you bring it up with them). Food wise, I love the burger sliders (I really struggle with deciding so it’s always a big up when I can order something that has a little bit of this and that to try a few different options in one go), also the chilli poppers (YUM) and the spinach and feta calzoncini and I am a big fan of the sweet potato crisps. Their cocktails deserve a mention too - especially for happy hour... pretty good way to end your work day :)

No matter what your preference in food, Hudsons has got it.<br/><br/>The menu sports craft beer, oh so many cocktails and burger combinations that'll come out of your ears! Personally I feel the burgers are a bit overpriced so if you simply must have a burger go for the sliders. You also get to taste more this way.<br/><br/>The half price cocktails and starters is a real vibe. When out with friends we usually get a host of starters and make a meal of it! The Moscow Mule is about the size of my face but by far my most favourite cocktail.<br/><br/>The service isn't all too wonderful and waits could be long but the food quickly makes up for it. It has a tendency to get helluva loud - like pub style. So if that's not really your scene, head to another branch. But do go, the burgers are om nom nom!

Their burgers are good but after a while they start tasting the same no matter what you order. Overall a good burger joint experience though.

Best burgers ever - I suggest you order a slider so that you can fully take in the awesomeness that Hudsons has to offer. It gets a little bit busy and loud - quite a young crowd. They have great craft beers on offer and a lovely selection of cocktails. The waiters are friendly and quick.

Ok, I'll admit. Anything involving cheese, bacon, alcohol and the words "half-price" will win my heart. Hudson's does it all, and more. Although technically a burger joint, I find the burgers overpriced (especially because you have to pay extra for chips). However, their happy hour is amazing. The half price beers (think R9), cocktails (R20) and starters (R25) make for an awesome evening out. Order the Porky poppers and a Moscow mule and you will be a changed person.

Somewhat more industrial in presentation than the first two (kloof street & greenpoint), the location is student dense, and somewhat more slick.<br/><br/>The burgers deliver, the menu caters for all, if weighted significantly to meat eaters.<br/><br/>Like all Hudsons, its popular. That means two things: hard to get a table at times, and service that is slower (kitchen related) than the other restaurants.<br/><br/>Its classic burger indulgence; the first authentic burger experience in Cape Town, and the bringer of craft beer to the city.<br/><br/>

We popped in on a Thursday night for our regular date night and we were quite taken back by how full of people it was! It's definitely the place to go if you want a vibey full atmosphere.<br/><br/>The food was great as usual, but because it's so full you do end up waiting a bit longer. Plus we sat in probably the coldest section ever so although it was good over all, we couldn't wait to leave. The moral of the story - make sure you book!

Some of the waitresses are sooo sweet and some don't care much. I always try sit in the nice girls sections. They make incredibly good chilli poppers. The burgers are so good and the sweet potato crisps are worth all the calories just remember to tell them to make them crispy we've had ones come soft not nice. The beer is good, nice for a<br/>Sunday lunch. They get really full and vibey on Friday and Saturday nights. The best is the Wilson sweets at the end with your bill such a nice touch or lollipops

I have been here once and really enjoyed it. They have great starters and cocktail specials, the food was delicious and the vibe was nice and chilled. Definitely want to go back and try more.

Had Father's Day lunch at Hudson's. I definitely think the quality of the burgers have gone down but their home made<br/>Fudge milkshake is to die for! Their current burger of the month special: the godfather, is a great choice. Wagyu beef patty with Brie and onion marmalade. Probably the best tasting burger on the menu so far!

Pretty overrated. While their cocktails and milkshakes are nothing short of amazing (try the berry mojito, and oreo milkshake respectively), their service is super crappy, they obviously lack a working manager, and the food is below average. To the first point, their service: honestly, the waitresses here seem to be angry at the world, all the time. I think there has only been one time (and I've gone here many times), where the waitress was actually cordial, gave us a smile, and didn't act like we were a thorn in her foot. The rest of the time, we were stuck with really moody ladies :/ (maybe the evening shift is extra tiring?) Secondly, the manager (or lack thereof): I went there last Friday with a friend to go for drinks. It was 22:05. The doors were barred. Yes, I repeat, the DOOR WERE LOCKED an hour before closing at 23:00. Someone please explain to me how that's even allowed? My friend and I were merely looking to get a drink on a FRIDAY night, and they locked the doors an hour before. If that isn't indicative of a bad manager, what is? Lastly, the food is really average. For a place that specialises in burgers, their burgers aren't much to write home about. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.

Went here today. Had the Hudson's pale ale and the player burger. The service was a bit slow but overall the burger was excellent. Very well priced to. The fries where the worst I have ever had simply because they where to oily. Other than that the beer and burger where tops. Good vibes and great music playing inside. Will be back for sure.

Chilled vibe, fun burger selections and friendly waitresses. I would recommend "The Player" burger, because who doesn't love bacon, feta and avo? Or ordering the sliders (which are 3 mini versions) is also a nice way to try more than one.

Burgers were fantastic (what else), juicy, meaty, smokey. The fries were very nice on their own as well, not just a regular side dish. Liked the home made lemonade a lot. My personal surprise: how much I genuinely loved the awesome strawberry milkshake. I usually hate strawberry milkshakes.<br/>Staff was friendly and had a playful team spirit amongst each other.

A great place for burgers in a laid back and upbeat vibe. I would not recommend the pizza ever but the burgers, wings and ribs are all winners. Beware of the cocktails, they are massive and pack a punch! I really enjoy the fact that you can order your burgers "guido style" wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun.

Really nice vibe.. Obviously a burger is a must, but otherwise if you don't order a milkshake you're a fool... The milkshakes are to DIE for!!! Bar one is definitely the best. And believe me, I've tasted all of them.

We go here often and to the Claremont one the most. Great burgers, pizza and such a vibe. A little secret is the amazingly tasty ribs. Too good! Great place, great food, cold beer, delecious burgers, good specials and a lekker vibe. Definitely worth a visit. They have a happy hour (5-7pm) where beer, cocktails and starters are half price. ?

Had to wait 1 hour for a phone in order for pickup. Was told would be between 15 and 20 Minutes. Pizza tasted good but definitely not worth the wait.

This place is by far one if our favorite burger places. Our favorites are the vanilla thunder - chicken burger, with blue cheese and crumbed mushrooms. You can opt to have burgers Guido style ( with lettuce instead of the bun ). Another huge favorite of ours is THE CAB DRIVER - an amazing chicken pizza. Nice and spicy - just how we like it. Top that off with one of their delicious milkshakes and you good to go! Go early as they get very busy basically every night of the week.

One of my go to places in my neighbourhood . Super reliable , super tasty , friendly service & super awesome milkshakes . Only issue is that sometimes parking is scarce .

Regularly go to Salushi right next to Hudsons but have never given it a go. Tried the burger with a chili popper on. The chili popper was disappointing, far too much batter but the burger overall was good. Onion rings on the side had way too much batter too.

Hudson's milkshakes are the best! I recommend the Horlicks and Honey flavoured one! The burgers were delicious as well. My sister did not enjoy the ostrich burger because it was too dry. Overall a great vibe and friendly service.

Went for an early supper on Tuesday. Really tasty burgers. We had The Boss & The Works and shared The Liberty Slaw. Plenty of food for 2 people. Service was also good. Ideal for a quick pop-in meal.

Hudsons offers a large variety of both burger topping and size. I had the mushroom burger which was delicious. I tasted the beef ribs; these could have contained more sauce. The Hudsons Red Ale craft beer is worth a try, not to mention the house coleslaw!

Best burgers...really tastey pizzas. The Staff could and should be friendlier and more welcoming. Other than that , great food, great prices.

Service was average and extremely slow. Food has changed a lot since it first opened. My burger was well-done to the point that it crumbled. The bun was stale. My friends banting bun was still frozen. I don't think I will visiting Hudson's anytime soon!

Hudsons has become my son and my regular Wednesday supper spot. The burgers are excellent and the standards consistent every time - the selection of burgers and toppings is great. Pizza and onion rings also to be recommended. The waitresses add a lot of spunk and never fail to flirt with my ten year old son. A solid option - great dude food.

At this moment and time there is no better burger place than Hudson's - we are frequently visiting the one in Claremont because it is about 4 KM from us - I have never - and I mean never - had bad service or food here - if you are looking for a well balance juicy burger patty - this is the place to go.<br/>Cooked to perfection and the range are amazing.<br/>My opinion: Continuous revisits to verify...

I've heard the rumours... those shakes are to die for! I've been wanting to try Hudsons for a while and boy was I glad. I went during Happy Hour on a friday afternoon and admit that even at 25, I still felt a little old, Happy Hour is very popular with students! The cocktails are very well priced at R20 and they have great half price starters to go with them too. I tried the rolled up bacon, avo and feta pizza which was also roughly R20 and oh so delicious!

Perfect spot for students after a long day of lectures and/ studying. Happy hours from 16:30-18:30 on weekdays ensures an easy wind down after a long day. Half price cocktails, beers on tap and starters on the menu really set the scene for a good evening. Always a good vibe and friendly waitresses!

Best burger joint ( I think) always festive. What I live about this place is the Guido burgers, that's without the roll but will lettuce instead. And not too bad pricing either. Around 50 bucks for a 180g burger. Sides you pay separately. Below pictured is my sons original royals burger topped with onion rings chilly cheddar cheese and bacon.
