What an amazing find! After seeing all the raving reviews, we went in with high expectations—and The Avenue DID NOT disappoint. The service is top-tier, the atmosphere is inviting, the menu is brilliant, and the food—OMG THE FOOD—is some of the best in Cape Town: Large portions, great flavour, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Kingklip and Calamari (and will be back to try the steak). Special thanks to Eric and the team for making our evening great.

Was a good evening out, the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Our waitron, Christopher was a champ and kept us informed and also entertained with some good banter. Would recommend 100%

Great food, we all loved it. Very cosy atmosphere. The beef schnitzel and beef fillet stroganoff were awesome. The 400 gr T-Bone was very well cooked and served. I can say we had the best chicken salad in Cape Town here. Definitely recommended 👌

The Avenue Restaurant is the most amazing, friendliest restaurant around. The staff caters to your every need, superb, top class service from the point of arrival to departure. Prices are on par and the BEST place for steaks and ribs. Speak of ribs falling of the bone.... SUPERB!!!!

They sure know how to cook meat here. Had a wonderful dish of grilled chicken breasts which were full of flavour. Great selection of sides, the veggies and roast potatoes were delicious. Friendly staff and efficient. Would definitely recommend trying them out if you're in the area.

I’ve been here twice now with another visit scheduled for Saturday night. Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. Hands down the best spot in the southern suburbs if you want to have a lovely evening and a succulent steak 🙌🏽

Always love coming here, from the service, to the food, and atmosphere, special touches by staff to make you feel like you are the most important people in the always full and busy restaurant. Bookings are essential!!

2018- Food is awesome 2023 - back again from overseas for a visit food remains awesome. Presca is awesome Rub eye is to die for, chips is also to die for, this should be the locals " go to" restaurant We plan a visit each time we come The vanilla milkshake is always on the menu....it is so nice and creamy

An absolutely awesome experience! Haven't been in 2yrs, but most definitely "worth the wait" and not visiting as frequently. Service, as from the on-line booking experience, was nothing short of exemplary, the food (wife and I both had meat main dishes, shared a superb seafood starter, and a wonderful chocolate brownie desert) was nothing short of spectacular, and the ambience was great.....cosy, warm and inviting, with its very own uniquely charming "old village" character. Our waitress on the occasion, Carin (spelling) was an absolute gem, with her recommendations being ON POINT! Will be back, and would highly recommend to all and sundry for certain!
