What an amazing place! Learnt so much on the tour. Kids loved it. So much to take in and be amazed by!

What an interesting day spend with very interesting people and exhibits.
Super interesting museum! Went in there knowing little about Leipoldt, Cederberg, Rooibos tea's origin and the Anglo-Boer war..... Now I'm slightly educated on these topics! Try not to look at the creepy dolls though.

Very good for people of Dutch heritage and beautifully maintained - I would have liked to have seen more of the history of the building as a gaol and more history of the coloured community - for example, Harold Cressy's contribution to education in the area. Harriet, the curator, deserves six stars for her informative discussions of the history of the area and for her dedication to educating local children and visitors alike.
I love the dorp (town) museums. This one lovely display, avoids the clutter of some others, friendly, dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff with a pride in their dorp and museum.
We spent an interesting hour at the museum, with a knowledgeable guide. Wonderfully informative displays!
