Review Dros Restaurant And Wine Cellar - Century City

The size of this space is surprising, as it doesn't look like can accommodate as much as they can from the outside. They have a variety of options from a light meal to proper hearty one. Breakfast lunch or supper, they can cater for your needs. They also have a bar, kids play area and smokers section. The service was good and the place wasn't too crowded. The chairs weren't the most comfortable but the booths look nice and cosy. The food is really good, fresh tasting and very well presented. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars are due to them not having everything on the menu available. There were two drinks options that they didn't have and I had to go for my third option. So, communicate it's unavailability earlier or make sure that if it's on the menu that you have it.

Been here a couple of times, just for lunch and to get some rest lol. Their ribs are amazingly nice!! Their prawns were a bit dry (could do with a bit of dressing). The order may take a while though.. However it's good place to chill and eat while in Canal walk!

food is generally delicious and they jave quite an extensive menu.Service is a bit slow but well worth the wait. Environment and toilets are clean with all the covid proticols in place . It also has a beautiful play area for the kids. Meals are is the medium range in terms of price but they also do have large portions. Cocktails are well made with an extensive wine menu

Always a lovely family restaurant. Friendly and good service. Food was amazing. Kiddies play area terrified me just a tiny bit. No soft areas when the kids hit the ground.

Only getting 4 star because of the waiter Ethan a trainee who was amazing and was on point. Firstly we got ribs that was rotten you can smell the or meat, that was not good at all. Secondly all the pizzas we ordered we butnt or two smoky, we have heard wooded pizzas but umh u dont smell the smoke etc it was horrible experience... By the way they had a rib special... Dros canal umhh it was a nightmare... Second plate of ribs were perfect...

Great family feel restaurant offering different daily specials, good variety on the both menu and wine list. Prices and quality compliment each other, food are always served hot and fresh leaving no disappointments, did I forget to mention about the portions? Very reasonable which means big! I gave less of a star due to the restroom facilities are not that great, taps are removed and sanitizers are in placed, not so great for the rib eating lovers unfortunately.

My family took me to have my birthday dinner at Dros as I absolutely Love their food. We arrived just after 6pm and it was rather busy. We got seated immediately but waited quite some time for our waiter to take our order for drinks. The toilets needs an upgrade and be cleaned it has a horrible smell and the basins are ridiculously low though. I then asked if we could be moved to a booth table as we had a pram and didn't want to be in the way. When our waitress came she explained and apologized for any delay that might happen as they are extremely busy. Which I love because communication is key, I will wait an hour for my food as long as there is communication. When we received our order my food was Abit overdone but the manager quickly corrected this and provided a new plate of food. The ribs was amazing but the Eisbein my husband had was absolutely Devine. It literally fell off the bone and was such a big portion we both ate from it when we got home. The portions are huge at great affordability. My kids loves the play area although a caregiver could be placed there to monitor safety of kids. Dros canal walk has a forever patron in me. It's also important to note when visiting a busy establishment have patience because that staff is exhausted too.

Always a good time at Dros. The staff is always friendly. No other place to be after shopping. Keep up the awesome work. Changing my review to 4stars. The bathrooms really do need an upgrade. The toilets are half broken and the floors are always wet with almost slipping in the bathroom. No caution wet floor signs, nothing. The staff is amazing. And no complaints with them. This is a management issue and needs to be resolved

Looking to get drunk during the day at the mall? Looking to grab a quick bite with the family? Meeting your date somewhere nice and central? Work near the mall and looking for some lunch food specials with colleagues? This is all of that.

My review is for the manager. The food was just just fine, not bad at all but the menu said "huge burgers" and they were small at best. The waitress was terrible. She messed up 2 of our orders and we only ordered 4 things. She never came to check on us even once. I had to stand up and find her when I wanted her attention... Every single time. She gave us old menus with old prices. We ordered a bottle of wine for R135 (on the menu) and when the bill came it was R185. I was very irritated and after waiting 15 minutes after getting the bill I decided to go find the waitress. She called the manager for us. He arrived immediately and fixed the issue which was great because I really wasn't in the mood to argue. He apologized as well and we went on our way. I won't go back there because of that waitress who is both incompetent and couldn't care less about her job. But I want to commend you guys on hiring an incredible manager. He really is the saving grace of your business and he really deserves his position. You really need to sort out your waiting staff. They are the sole reason we won't return. The food was good and came fast, albeit a lot smaller than the Spur portion for the same price. The view was great. Just that one waitress who seemed like she would rather be anywhere else on earth. 10/10 to the manager. 7/10 for the food (would be 9 but small portions) and 0/10 for the waitress. For a restaurant that has had the worst spotlight in all history - you know what I'm talking about... You'd think you'd be bending over backwards to keep a client. For what it's worth - we were one of perhaps 20 patrons. Spur on the other hand was jam packed.
