Square has recently updated their menu. I’m quite sad that the macaroni and bacon balls were removed.
I was however happy to see that they were replaced with jalapeño poppers.
If you are looking for something to snack on, the Popping Platter is quite nice to share. The chips are also very nice.
Burgers are nice and juicy and the patty tastes freshly made.
Staff is also quite friendly.
This is a favourite for me. From friendly Amirah to the even friendlier chefs and wait Staff. The food is sometimes not as expected but i still go back every day!
The place itself is a little too quiet for my liking but perhaps it was because we went there close to their closing time.
We had the Peruvian Lamb Ribs; Classic Caesar Salad and the Pan Seared Tuna. I myself had the salad and despite the presentation being great, I wasn't too happy with the salad itself. However, the other two meals were delicious(mainly the Peruvian Lamb Ribs).
The Square Cafe is the place to be for a relaxed space to have breakfast. The buffet breakfast is an excellent option with a wide variety of choice. Decor is awesome.
I love this cafe! Besides the efficient friendly waitstaff, the attention to detail in the decor with free wifi and all the rechargeable hubs everywhere 🙂 great spot for meetings! I'll be back 🙂
I just about rolled out of this place... I had the most incredible meal: chicken popcorn- with blue cheese dip and mac and cheese balls with ranch. Then a sirloin steak with marinated mushrooms and the most delicious chips ever! And then a pear crumble with home made custard and a milk tart creme brulee!
The staff were friendly and the ambience very cool- makes you feel like you're sitting somewhere trendy in NYC.
Perhaps the most impressive thing was that I had won a voucher at one of their DJ nights a few weeks before, so our entire meal was comped. I always worry with vouchers, that perhaps we won't get the best service- but really really keen to go back and show my friends how great this place is.
This hotel is chic and contemporary. The rooms are tastefully decorated with great finishes. The hotel lobby upon entering caught my eye with the lighting giving off a relaxed ambiance. Breakfast had a wonderful spread with a selfservice machine offering a variety of hot drinks...my personal favourite :-). Breakfast staff were attentive and friendly, however staff at reception need to be a bit more warm and friendly than overly professional when guests are checking in as this can be a bit uneasy to a guest.

The decor is modern and chic yet the atmosphere is relaxed
I've tried the a la Carte as well as the harvest table and both were delicious
I especially like the harvest table for a casual lunch whilst sitting in the courtyard area outside
Add a mimosa and you've got a great way to spend an afternoon!
I visit this place literally everyday, they have an amazing morning special for R15 you can get yourself a Cappuccino& Muffin, which I think is an awesome deal! Their Lunch menu differs each day and they offer anything from Soup, Salad and some great Light meals - my favourites are their Leak & Potato soup ; The Beetroot & Feta Salad; the Creamy chicken pie and Sweet potato fritters. I have also been there on a Thursday night when they have a live DJ, the food and Vibe were both great. Another new spot in Century City that one should certainly visit.
