Review Tiger's Milk Century City - Century City

Theo Le Roux
It was blistering cold outside. Inside welcoming with warm cosy atmosphere and soft music playing . Stunning. The place was pumping for a Saturday breakfast run, but the staff was kind and in control Our seat was next to a massive window, and the outside scene was stunning. Our food took a bit to come out, which was understandable, but we'll worth the wait. Affordable coat! That was the cherry. ( we even had a manager from HQ bring us marmalade when the waiter was anywhere occupied)! Thanks Guys, easy ☆☆☆☆☆

Great atmosphere, awesome views and BRILLIANT service from our waiter who's name just happens to also be Brilliant 👏 😀. He truly lives up to his name and made sure that we were accommodated at all times. We'll definitely be going again thanks to the service received

A delightful change of pace from the Muizenberg branch. Our waiter went out of her way to give us 7/5 star service. Food was delicious and arrived so quickly. It was quiz night so sat outside, and our waiter organized me a blanket. It's the little things. Thank you 💜

Tigers milk is always a vibe. And today we had a really good server make the day easy. She was very patient. Thank you so much Zanele

Industrial vibe. Arrived on quiz night. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Good for conversation. You have to try the sirloin. Get the 600g, you will finish it without knowing.

Scenery and atmosphere was nice. Customer service top notch, Nwabsa catered to us very well. Food (pork ribs) were a bit dry but customer service stood out.

Visiting Cape Town for the first time a d want a great vibe with lekker(delicious) food and ice cold smooth drinks ? Tigers Milk Century is your go to. No pressure, easy vibes by the time you leave you won't want them to close. Thoroughly enjoyed my night here. I will be dropping by again very soon😎
Vibe with Finess
The lady that helped us (Nwabisa) made our experience an amazing one, a night to remember at that. Her energy from the beginning of the night all the way till the end was contagious, it was hard not catching her vibe. Definitely recommend asking for her service

First time here... Fabulous quiz evening, fantastic vibe... Sound for questions just a bit low

Service was a 10/10. Nwabisa made the experience even more memorable. All in all I had a great, wholesome night with good food.

There is no doubt on the popularity of this place: it packs in customers from early afternoon and get packed in the evening. It is advisable to book a table. The reason for the popularity is that they have regular games evenings and are able to attract a wide, diverse audience on a regular basis. Despite operating under pressure, the staff members are friendly and efficient. You might wait a while when they are busy, but it's worth it as the food is well-prepared and tasty. It's much more than a restaurant - many people come here to socialise and meet new people. Bathrooms are neat and clean.

Guys! A MUST SEE 🥰❣️🥹 I loved every moment, the vibe, service, the people. It was a great experience! Definitely doing it again, inviting my friends this time 🔥🤞🏽🥂, you're such a vibe🐆😍🍸

What a Vibe! Order the crunchy wings and chicken tacos, it didn't disappoint. I absolutely loved their Vibe. Food and drinks were on point.
Cleo Mabengeza
What a beautiful service that we received. Our waitress Roundy was absolutely friendly.

Zingie for employee of the month, hands down! I had the pleasure of experiencing truly exceptional service from her last night. Her warmth and attentiveness made myself and my partner’s dining experience unforgettable. Every request was met with a smile, and she anticipated our needs effortlessly. Her dedication to ensuring our evening was perfect was evident in every detail. We left with full hearts and satisfied palates, thanks to her extraordinary service. I’d highly recommend and ask for her upon arrival 🫶🏽

Atrocious customer service. Non-curteous staff and a bill so inflated that the markups aren't just there for the business to prosper, but to actually rip you off. You will not receive mine or my friend's business again.

Lovely atmosphere, food and good service!! Great experience overall...se you guys again soon

Friendly staff

Cheapest burger on the menu is R98. Cant be bad for that price right? Wrong. Dry and tasteless. Its basically a Steers burger but without the sauce. Dont waste your money.
Tayla Martin
The atmosphere is very chill...great to bring a small or large group of people for lunch or supper. Food is fresh and their service is great! Definitely coming again!
Alvizo Miggels
The food was decent. However, the type of people that were there contributed heavily to the uncomfortable experience my friends and I had. I went a second time, which was much better but that first experience still lingers.
Damian
Good service. Friendly staff. Rockstar burger hits the spot every time. Beautiful location. Great place to unwind. Unexpectedly joined a pub quiz which was great fun.

Beautiful venue, especially for larger groups to sit outside.

Service: Efficient and gave us good food recommendations.

Food: Pizza was so lovely (darling pizza) nothing beats creamy avo on a pizza!
The nachos were also good, although the Tigers milk branch in Stellies served us a bigger portion and tastier too
Party parcels- No complaints! Batter was not oily, had just the right thickness and was crunchy. Defs not your average jalepeno poppers

Drinks: Strawberry BnT was okay, served in a wine glass which was underwhelming and it could have been less watered down.

Had a lovely meal on Monday . Date night with my wife. Nice vibe.
Food was excellent & very good service.

Overall very good experience & definitely go back.

My wife ordered the steak & cooked to perfection .
Can’t wait for the Durbanville branch to open.

Very good value for money

I really enjoyed my chicken burger here, which was the one with the mushroom sauce. Beer in tap great. Good vibe. Overall a great experience

My first time visiting a Tiger's Milk and I recommended it to my family. Unfortunately, what a terrible experience. We waited more than an hour for our food, in a restaurant that wasn't full at all. Our waiter couldn't care less about us, never checked in on us, didn't even come and explain why the service was so slow. I had butternut and feta as a side, all I got was two slices of butternut with 3 small pieces of feta. Some of my family members ordered the tornado chips as a side which came raw. Eventually we asked for the bill from our waiter and after 10 minutes it had still not come. We then decided to leave and pay at the door and overheard a very upset customer expressing how poor the service was. I would not recommend this place when you're hungry at all.
Rafiqua Israel
The absolute worst place to eat breakfast in the area. I have never had a worst breakfast experience, especially a meal which is so easy to get right. Poached eggs served so hard they could have been boiled? Never again
Chantal Muller
I had a late lunch here with a colleague 2day. I had the sirloin, which I asked to be medium. It was OK. Not great. Just OK. My colleague had the ribs, which looked really delicious. Parking is an absolute nightmare here. Drinks looked awesome. Service wasn't fantastic either, but not too bad. May or May not be back.

I had the pleasure of going to tigers milk with my partner recently. The ambience of the restaurant is so lively and cozy. The decor is amazing and the restaurant is huge it has alot of seating space and lovely fixtures to look at..the food was ok we had the spicy wings which werent that spicy but was still cooked to perfection then for mains we had gone for the Monday burger special where you only pay for one and get another free the burgers were good but not mind blowingly good..the cocktails were different and very refreshing. Try the ginslinger its amazing!. Our wautress was so helpfull and ontop of things i could not understand the other reviews on zomato as we were taken care of the entire time. This is a great place to catch up with friends over some cocktails or even a mid week date nyt the food is ok and the cocktails were wonderful.

I was very disappointed at my first time at Tigers Milk. I came with a group of ladies for brunch. A few of us ordered eggs benedict and when it arrived we realised the waiter had forgotten to ask how we wanted our eggs. The eggs were extremely hard and dry (almost like a hard boiled egg and not a poached egg). The menu also said that the eggs would be on an English muffin, however they were more like two little dense burger buns. One lady at the table had sent her oats back as they weren't what she expected. Another lady unfortunately found a cockroach in her take-away box.
Although this experience wasn't what I expected, I would give their lunch and dinner options another try as I have heard great reviews. I hope this was just a bad day for Tigers Milk and not an accurate representation of the rest of the menu.
Cassie Sandler
On Mondays they have a 2-4-1 burger special at the Century City branch on the cheese and mushroom burgers. The weather was lovely so we sat outside, I ordered the cheese burger and he ordered the mushroom burger, mine with fries and his with salad which we shared.
I can definitely say for a first time going to Tigers Milk we really enjoyed it.
We didn't wait long for our food which was great because we were hungry.
The burgers were delicious and definitely worth it.
Fries were definitely a winner and he really enjoyed the salad but I thought they put too much salad dressing on.
Great alcohol selection aswell*
None the less a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back soon.

This wasn't a horrible lunch but since I won't return I couldn't score it higher. Took my dad there for father's day and he had a burger and I had nachos. Both of us had tiny portions for a very high price. And sides aren't included, they need to be ordered separately. I don't like being ripped off so I won't return. Service was good. The food was nothing special.
Davearicardo
I normally have breakfast here at least twice a month when I visit CPT, the service is alway good however the food quality has slowly deteriorated that I have now opted to go to Woolworth Cafe in Tygervalley

Recently visited for dinner and had the fillet for dinner and it was really good. The pepper sauce was also very good. Our waiter was very accommodating and made us feel welcome. I can’t wait to taste the breakfast menu.

Visited the one in Century City. Went there for the first time. I must say... nice service, friendly people, beautiful surroundings. will visit again.

Despite it being a Sunday night, this place had a very good vibe. I liked the set up except for the fact that if you’re a small party, you may have to share a table with another group. Thankfully, we had a table all to ourselves. As soon as you enter, you can smell the wood oven pizzas which is quite comforting. The Husband had the veg pizza, I had the fried calamari and chips on the side and my brother had the fish tacos. All of us loved our food. The pizza was thin base and had ample toppings including mushrooms, peppers and a basil pesto. The calamari was crispy and the fish tacos fresh and tasty. If I had to nitpick something, it would be the garlic aioli that the calamari came with - it was basically just mayonnaise. I couldn’t taste any garlic. Chips were a huge portion and had a good mix of crispy bits and softer, fluffier versions. I like that the menu has a good mix of things from burgers to nachos. We will be back to try other items and especially the dessert.

I would only visit this Tiger’s Milk for drinks in future. The food was disappointing, I had ribs while my friend ordered a pizza and both were bland. Great atmosphere for drinks after work though.
Kay
They’re improving on their service. I must say I’m really impressed. Otherwise it’s a lovely place, very chilled during the day. The ribs are so juicy & perfectly cooked. The menu is simple & prices are affordable.

My husband and I took his father and girlfriend to Tigers Milk for dinner. I made a booking four days prior and asked for a booth seat which was confirmed. I was called on Saturday to confirm my booking which I did. My father in law arrived to find out that someone else was sitting at our table. We also did not receive the booth seat as confirmed on the booking. We had to wait for another table to be cleaned so that we could be seated, the evening did not start off very well. We ordered our starters and mains together. Starters came out quickly (onion rings) but we waited over an hour for our mains. It was three steaks and calamari. When we told the waitress that the calamari was cold she gave such attitude, on the verge of being rude. Furthermore my father in laws girlfriend got a chair in her back when the waitress was moving it (she is in her 60's). Food was good, besides being cold. Service is shocking you can feel the mild panic around you by the waiters and hostess. It is a pity as Tigers Milk in town is awesome and we are big fans but with Canal Walk being closer to where we stay we will not be returning.
Jenna Miller Bloch
Very disappointed with the revolting service we have received. The waiter seated us and never came back. We asked another waiter to take our order and he walked away and never returned. We waited for 45minutes for our food even though the restaurant was only half full.
Carl Thomas
Popped into Tiger's Milk for some afternoon drinks and food. Initially sat outside and nobody attended to us. Moved inside and got service immediately.

Ordered some cocktails, all of which were good. Also ordered the Nachos, Chicken Wings and Pizza (Bacon, Avo and Feta). Wings were juicy but the sauce slightly salty for my liking. Pizza and nachos were good.

This place always has a good vibe, especially in the evenings. Will return to try more items on menu.
Laura Martin
Tiger's Milk will forever be the makers of my favorite burger, the Rockstar. Th combination of the burger itself is what I love and not to mention that it is grilled and prepared to absolute perfection.

The chips accompany it perfectly, although I definitely think they could add more (especially for the price paid), as the portion was meagre (and I really really love good chips.)

If you're not into burgers, please do try their steak- it is as tender as anything and paired with a beautiful peppercorn sauce, you'll be asking for more in no time.

The service is a bit slow at times but the gees, especially when there is a rugby/soccer match on, more than fills the gap.

It is the perfect place for a family supper or even just a chilled lunch and the overall scenery of this branch specifically, makes for a cosmopolitan feel, similar to that of the Silo district.
Zach Masondo
Awesome and quite location! Missing out on all the tourist noise was awesome!

Great food, and awesome flavor! Loved the tacos and the fillet on the bone!

Decor of the place is lovely! Intrigued by the copper pipe work on the ceiling! Lighting 👌🏾!

Great service all around! Pity about the central AC, thing was bloody cold, blankets made up for the rest of the nite though!
Muano Netshifhefhe
Great service and delicious food. The restaurant is stunning with good vibes and nice music. The prices are decent, it's affordable and everything is worth the price. Will totally go back.
Johanna Marie Paderes
Wanted to go for brunch but they weren't serving breakfast anymore. So I decided to get nachos just as a light meal. The interior design of the restaurant was very nice,Instagram worthy. I ordered a hot chocolate and that was good. Nachos were okay for me, they had some flavored cheese seasoning on the nacho chips which I didn't like so much. My friend ordered a tin burger with fries and she said that was really good. I'd probably have to come again and try other items on the menu to give this a better rating and recommendation.
Meg Ringdal
Bit of a mediocre experience, sadly. The place is exquisitely designed and beautiful to sit in, but two of our orders were wrong and the service was on the slow side. The food that we did get was fairly tasty, but a bit cold. May have been an off day for them as all other reviews I’ve read have been good.
Liza
I'm a weekly regular at Tiger's Milk Century City. I enjoy it as an after work drinks hangout, but service can be slow when seated outside, and the menu is seriously lacking some snacking food. I’m not a fan of the parmesan chips with garlic mayo, but the pizzas are really good, and so are the burgers. Be sure to try the moaning at midnight burger if you're a fan of bacon.
Mose Shirley Khubedu
Nice vibe, good service and a yummy sweet treat. There's just something very comforting about bread and butter pudding, the salted caramel added that extra bit of excitement to an age old pud-definitely extra satisfying!

Jaryd Kay
Fresh, vibey and tasty. The burgers are to die for. The pizza is disapponting in that it eats like toasted bread with cheese unless you go extravagant. The drinks are awesome. The service is average to good. Recommend.
Kyla De Bruyn
Try the parmesaan fries with truffle aolie. To die for. We keep going back for the atmosphere and amazing beer. Great for a friend gathering. Been here numerous occasions.
Promise_foodie
Wonderful nightlife setting at this restaurant, I particularly liked that the waiter was very quick regardless of the fact that the plAce was full.
Had the hake for starters which was PERFECT then proceeded to ribs and chips, ribs were a bit too overcooked for me, however had a good experience overall
Amy Mcwilliams
Very dissapointing. We came here for my best friends birthday, out of all the places we could've chosen in cape town. The service was sluggish despite it being very quiet. I don't know when it has become the norm for a restaurant to not have lime, strawberry, olive oil and lamb if their customers order it. Surely this is covered in restaurant stocking 101? To make it worse there was a hair in a friends pizza (I have tried to capture the image but the hair was light). My steak was overcooked and my poor best friend ,who ordered a New York cheese cake slice to take home, paid R59 for a tiny slice smaller than her hand. I can't believe that we had so many bad experiences. It is also strange to see the staff sitting at the restaurant tables and the bar absolutely dead, I had to chase for 15min for my dom pedro which was slapped together with no visual presentation whatsoever. 😤
Liza Duckitt
Very busy on a Friday afternoon and really not entirely worth it. Won't visit again in a hurry.
Been waiting ages to try Tigers Milk and I'm quite disappointed.. burger bun is buttery and almost fake like. The patty need seasoning and is quite small for the price. Mushroom sauce has not trace of truffle, quite average. Chips are average..
The only plus point was the relatively good service and the fact that there was Tabasco on the table (both green & red one). I find Tigers Milk overpriced for what you get and just not a place I would go back to considering all the other great burger joints around
Jemaine Pietersen
Was an amazing experience really loved it
Will most def vist again...
My girlfriend took me here and we had an awesome time food and drinks is cheap and not expensive
Eleanora Bresler
Great decor and design. However very expensive and really not that impressed. I was told that the parmesan chips are just the best so we ordered them to find it was cold and the parmesan was just dumped on top and in fact, some bits of cheese had mold. The garlic cheese sauce that accompanied the chips was initially delicious but left an awful after taste. The bar one milkshakes were average and considering the price of R45 they could have been more decadent. Probably won't be back for a meal but I'm sure on a sunny windless day the venue would lend itself to drinks on the terrace.
Alicia Jooste
The food when it eventually arrives is great! the Manager always runs around tryng to cover for the wait staff who "forgets" about their patrons. I think this can be a flagship restuarant in the chain but the service needs sharpening up
Nazneen Ahmed
I attended a colleagues farewell here, but my experience was very average. The service was slow and the food, nothing to write home about. I think it's best for drinks and socializing rather than having a meal. I did have their milkshake on a previous occasion, which was very good.
Morphy Us
Waited nearly 2 HOURS for food! They forgot our order then had to order again. Not the staffs fault as there were only 2 for the whole place. Would not go back ever again
Eben Verster
My sirloin was good, just enough fat and made to order. Portions are generous but prices are harsh. If you're coming alone, don't expect any service.
Llew Adamson
Crap snobby service and mediocre coffee. Everyone I've been here (six times) the device was horrible. Foods okay but nothing special. Better options close by.
Samantha
Tigers milk is a really nice chill spot. The restaurant has a nice modern feel and once a week there's a live musician!

We love all of their truffle infused items. The burgers a great. My ultimate favorite though is the aioli they provide with their chips, it's heavenly!
Aidan Samuels
Very expensive so not the place to go on a student budget. However the variety of craft beers is good and pizzas are tasty. Burgers and salads are also very good. Steaks are great and the atmosphere is lively and youthful
Riaan Anker
Had a farewell for a colleague here. Friendly service as most and pricing as most.

Nothing really stood out and was what it was and can be expected from having a quick meal or get together somewhere.
Lucianrajah
A relatively (and surprisingly) quiet venue with huge glass road-facing windows that look quite inviting. Once inside you're met by pleasant staff who seem to know exactly what they're doing. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have a craft beer menu but my on-the-spot choice of the Tiger Lager didn't dissapoint. I had hoped for a larger burger menu as only one really appealed to me. The Three Cheese burger is one of the best I've had in Cape Town; the patty was cooked to perfection and the cheeses were plentiful. A good venue but please expand the burger range! A must visit if you're in the area.
Natasha Ilić
My first time at Tiger's Milk, Century City outlet was overall a pretty good experience. I had ordered a bacon, feta and avo pizza and my companion ordered a Rockstar Burger with gaucamole and crispy bacon and a side of chips. The chips was a little burnt but other than that, the food was incredibly tasty and the service was satisfactory 🍕🍔
Andrea Liang
Food: Delicious! The mushroom burger sauce is so flavorful.
Drinks: Decent selection with beers on tap.
Ambience: Trendy and cozy. Spacious. Modern design with vintage flair. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Service: Friendly and attentive but prompt and professional.
Overall verdict: I'll definitely go here again. Tiger's Milk creates a little hub that feels like central Cape Town even though tucked away in Century City. A nice change from dining at Canal Walk.
Melissa Wyngaard
Tigers Milk has a nice vibe, went after work for a few drinks. It got very full, very quickly so try and reserve a table before hand. They could stock more ciders, but the beer on tap and wine selection is quite diverse. The pizza was nice, fairly large but for the price you pay they can afford to be a bit more generous with the toppings. Overall, I had a good time and the service was good even though they're very busy so that's always a plus.
Tracy-lee Splinter
Went here for a quick bit after church and ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected.
I ordered the Magic Mushroom burger and it was SO good. They are not shy with the mushrooms in the sauce, which makes it so yummy.
The service was a little slow but I was in good company and didn't mind at all.
The decor in tigers milk is rustic and suites the vibe very well.
Throughly enjoyed it here.
Leigh Erasmus
The vibe is electric, the food is delicious and the service is good. A great place to meet up after work with friends to wind down before the weekend.
Tiger's Milk restaurants are fast becoming one of my favourite casual dining spots. Always a good look and feel inside with excellent service and the food is always well prepared. Also love that they're able to cater for big tables. Definitely an enjoyable experience.
Asheen Bhagwandin
Terrible service. We were basically avoided by the waiting staff all night. We couldn't even get our bill. Please... I'm in the restaurant and have been waiting for 45 minutes. I want to go home. (Apparently Eugene was supposed to be our waiter. Was he even here??? Was he even lucid???)
Daniela
Came for breakfast but with only 5 options on the breakfast menu we asked if the lunch menu was available (since it was nearly 11am). When the waiter rolled his eyes at us before saying he'll check with the kitchen we decided "nah...the coffee was enough"... so, sorry, can't comment on the food but don't think we'll be back to bother tasting.
Leigh
This place has a really good vibe with fast, efficient service. They serve "dude food" (ie burgers, pizza, steak and ribs). Generally the food is good but during my visit earlier this week the burger patty was burnt and the ribs a bit dry.
They have a great new cocktail menu and have a happy hour weekdays from 17:00-19:00.
Would recommend it for Friday afternoon drinks.
Danielle
I really wanted to love Tiger's Milk, but unfortunately I probably won't be back.
Shortly after we arrived it became evident that our booked table had been reallocated (although we were 10 minutes early), so the (somewhat surly) hostess tried to convince us that our "booked" table was one of the high (and wobbly) tables at the back of the restaurant. Our waitress was sweet, but forgetful. My steak was well cooked and tasty, and my husband enjoyed his burger, but we couldn't believe our eyes when my mushroom sauce arrived. I'm no cheapskate, but R25 for 2 tablespoons of sauce is a bit steep. The restaurant does have a nice vibe, but overall I felt that it didn't live up to the hype.
Senami Sinz Syce
I'm quite disappointed in the service we initially received from our waitress last night. We were a table of 4, and once we received our drinks order our waitress did not return to take our food order. Luckily we had alot to catch up on and could chat forever. But after almost an hour we couldn't ignore our hunger.

However another waiter quickly placed our food order and we didn't wait long at all once he took over. I had the 200g rump steak (medium) and added the blue cheese creme fraiche sauce which paired well with my meal.

I probably should have had the salad with my steak but I'll eventually go back to gym and work off those chips. Eventually.

The reason I chose this restaurant is because their MCC list is quite decent. I feel not enough restaurants cater to this increasingly popular choice of drink. My cousin and I shared the Graham Beck Brut Rose'. I quite liked the hook on the table that the ice bag hung off from.

The decor is tasteful, the service eventually redeemed itself, and the food was delicious. I'll definitely return.

Went to Tiger's Milk for the first time on Saturday, 25 March 2017. Unfortunately this would be my first and last time ever visiting this rating establishment. Firstly, the service was horrible. One of my friends asked the waiter for a side plate, which he never received. Secondly the food was ridiculous over priced. I paid R35 for the worst chocolate milkshake ever had (yes, it was really the worst). The burger I had was mediocre at best and not worth the R110 I paid.
Tshego Fontash Marumo
The décor is trendy and fresh. A beautiful mid week, casual business meeting place. The waiters are not friendly... I dealt with three. ( I was quite surprised cause everybody raved about good service) I had 200g ribs for R115 (if not mistaken) not wow but not bad at all... I will maybe try it again... I live and work close by so but my first experience was really nothing to write home about. I love good service and that was lacking big time. 23 March 2017 from 13:00 to 15:15

Tigers milk has a great theme and feel to it all round . Though the more I go the worse the food tastes, I have been to the Muizenberg restaurant which hooked me in to loving this franchise, the food , especially the wings were amazing, tasty and crispy. To my disappointment I have visited the Century city branch and have eaten 3 times the chicken wings and Chicken livers are a NO GO. Super salty wings and the sauce of the livers was terrible , definitely not the same as muizenberg😤 for mains .... I was certainly not very excited, I had a bun less rockstar and my Partner had fish ...... let's just say that my partner who's not one to complain, was complaining how plain his fish tastes and he can't taste even the lemon 😒(I blame the over salted and spiced wings ) my burger is mediocre...... I'm busy typing this review and ignoring the food 😒so that alone says it all... Oh and ummm I could hear my burger patty MOO.....
Ryan Mulders
Awesome vibe, great decor and good service. I had a delicious burger and we shared a side plate of chips with the table. The side plate of chips is a mountain of potatoe with parmesan sprinkled on top accompanied by a delicious garlic aioli mayonnaise. Will definitly return.
Sean Boertjie Pelser
Been to this store a couple of times. There have always been a awesome vibe everytime we have been there. Service consistantly good aswell as the food. Will be back for more.
Desmond Kurz
Went for dinner to the restaurant. The atmostphere was very viby, but incredibly loud, so if you want to talk to guests with you, you have to shout across the table. The restaurant is decorated nicely and is in a good area. The service was a little lacking with service coming up a little slow. We ordered mostly steaks and burgers across the 6 guests. Burgers were ok - patties and garnish good but buns were very dry. Steaks were well cooked and chips were excellent. For dessert, we ordered the bread and butter pudding, chocolate mousse, cheesecake and ice cream. Generally the desserts were better than the main courses with a special shout out for the cheesecake. Overall, the consensus was that we would not return. We are spoilt for choice with restaurants in Cape Town and this one is not up to parr except for social drinks.
Trish Sibanda
I was at this place recently for dinner. I must say they have the worst service ever! We had to literally shout for the waiter for everything, even to place our order. The food came very late and the waitresses did not even take our order correctly. My friend requested for a lighter as he wanted to smoke outside the place while we were having the wine and frustrated by the long waiting period, but unfortunately we had to remind this waitress 4 or 5 times of our request. The staff is not attentive at all and i must say i won't be visiting this place again anytime soon if their levels of service do not change.

Cosy yet sensually stimulating atmosphere: check
Friendly and attentive service: check
Drinks that I can afford but also want to order: check
Food that makes me want to lick my plate: check
Affordability: nothing good comes cheap, but you won't go home a hobo; so, check!

Overall, highly recommended and a place where I'd love to consider myself a newfound regular visitor.

Casual but classy is exactly my kind of vibe!

It's funny! I don't if anyone else has the same feeling... but if the service is amazing, even if the food is average, it makes the food taste better for me! If the Service had been just a bit better I reckon the food would have been amazing! Not sure if I'll be back!?
Makgalake
So I haven't ever sat down for meal at this restaurant. I usually order in when staying at the hotel close by. The food is nothing to get excited about and because the menu is so limited you end up ordering the same meal. Overall average joint for a quick meal if you're not looking for anything fancy.
Charnelle Hoff
Service was so bad dont even want to write about it. Just want to forget about it. Had to leave and go to a restaurant in canal walk after waiting almost 40 mins to be served.

I had heard about Tigers Milk but never chose to venture there because l struggle with loud noise and eating out for me is an oral and aural experience.
Going out with my spouse or a friend is unpleasant and uncomfortable for me if l cant converse and socialise.
However I came across the one in the corporate pulse of Century City and for me that was just ideal.
My spouse and l had lunch there on Monday.
Although this trendy restaurant doesn't even need become to create atmosphere, it did have enough people / tables to not be empty.
I loved the entire aura of the place both inside and outside. It has a very Melrose Arch feel to it.
Obviously the night vibe is a totally different vibe but as mentioned this was our choice.
We were immediately warmly welcomed and shown to our table where we could absorb all the decor detail. It is quite unique.
The restaurant is very clean and comfortable and has a very strong sense of branding.
I chose the Evil Twin burger which was a tantilising treat to my taste buds. It was absolutely great besides the chips which tasted and looked like refries. My spouse felt the same about her chips. We brought it to the attention of our waitron who said that he would look into it but never returned.
My spouse had a fillet steak with blue cheese and creme freish sauce. The fillet was overdone and stringy as well as bland and tasteless.
The presentation was very good. Service fair.
I had a latte that was very impractical to hold in a glass without getting burnt.
We will go back and give it another chance.
The indoor outdoor flow is also very pleasant.
It was a pleasant experience.

Very nice atmosphere and decor. Great chips! I had a mushroom burger and although the mushroom truffle sauce was amazing, the rest was average. Nice waiter but was spoiled by the long wait for the bill.

I have to be honest I loved the food. Personally I feel they have something special in that regards. But this is another restaurant that suffers from just awful service. I walked in and all the waiters ignored me and I was eventually seated by the bouncer. It then took me literally going to a waiter to get service. Let's just say my experience and the experience of other patrons were very different. It seemed that the staff were all to happy to serve everyone else except me. I wonder why.

We popped in for dinner on this chilly Saturday night and it was busy and noisy. We were seated promptly and our pleasant young waiter was quick to arrange us drinks.

From there it kinda went a little downhill as we had a long wait of nearly an hour for our 2 burgers, and we didn't really see the waiter again which wasn't great.

The burgers were okay, but not as good as Jerry's and the chips were pretty bad; some were burnt and they tasted of dirty oil.

The restaurant decor is kind of trendy and the staff were friendly. The menu is very simple, and could probably use a bit of spicing up, particularly the steak section.

I think that if you are looking for a spot to have a drink with mates then it's a decent option, but if you are looking for a proper meal, then you can definitely do better.

Always enjoy going to TM as it is around the corner from my place of work and find myself going there more often. I do wish that they would not over price their drinks in comparison to Slug and Lettuce just around the corner to keep having our staff back.
Tiyaarah Cloete
There's really not a huge variety for me - I had their calamari which was so good, I'm just a little bit down that I'm not able to sample most of the menu

Tiger's Milk is a great choice for a chilled dinner with a big group of friends. The atmosphere is vibey and on this Friday night it was bustling and packed. They're set up to handle this well, with very good service and an appropriate menu. Their burgers were pretty good, as were the wings and pizza. Possibly the best of the Burger / Beer / Pizza chains.

The newest addition to the franchise and it's a win! I love the decor of tiger's milk, quirky and cool, so whether you choose to sit inside or bask in the sun outside, you'll be happy.
Our waitress was cool, and good, bit of no nonsense :)
Most people chose burgers which looked great! I was in the mood for pizza, but seeing as they had pork and lamb options, I requested a margherita which they glady made for me. It was amazing!! One on the best pizzas I've had in a while.
I was surprised to see they are actually open for brekkie too, with a small but yummy sounding menu.
Been here twice in short space of time, and I've been thoroughly impressed on both occasions. The decor is cool, and I'm a fan of the high ceiling. One of the few burger restaurants in Cape Town that has all their ducks in a row. Staff and food are great, but I feel the burgers menu could be a bit more adventurous.
Sarita Kerber
I thoroughly enjoyed my evil twin burger with the truffle infused chips.....divine. I also paired it with a nutty caramel milkshake and that was delicious and full of flavor. I enjoy the vibe here and the decor is lovely. I loved that the restaurant was full and the service was still fast they waited were very friendly. Recommended the caramel milkshake and it was a good choice.

I'm not eating bread at the moment so probably not the best place to go, considering I have heard that their burgers and pizzas are really good. Had lunch there as we were meeting and catching up with friends. Decor is great! My starter chicken livers were okay, not the best I have had. I had their ribs for mains, thought they were good, but nothing outstanding to be honest. And they seemed pretty expensive. Our waiter was a cool young guy, he did a good job apart from forgetting I ordered a drink and as it got busier we waited a while to find him and order our desserts. My caramel nut milkshake was great, very tasty and satisfying. But, no idea why they used ginger cookies? It doesn't say that on the menu and what if someone doesn't like ginger? I like them, so no problem for me. Our friends loved their burgers and the bread and butter pudding looked epic. I tried the cheese cake and would recommend that. To be honest I'd rather go to Jerry's or Hudson's. I will however try the Claremont Tiger's Milk as it is new and I live very close. Stay tuned for that review...

The food here was amazing! This Tiger's Milk has a really lekker vibe after work on a Friday for drinks and to relax! I had the Evil Twin burger and the truffle infused mushroom sauce was sooo good!! I'll def go back to try one if their yummy looking Pizzas..
Adrian Ciesielski
Awesome food, venue, and people. Probably one of the best-looking spaces I have been to in a while in Cape Town - Like a mini waterfront really.

We had two Pizza's and loved them - a bit shy on toppings, but hey, it's much better than the majority of places in Cape Town
JayRo
First impressions: absolutely wow! Awesome decor! Love the venue, the actual building, so modern and fresh. This area has been screaming for something new and trendy for a long time! Food: not great. Asked for no tomato on my burger, got tomato. My truffle infused mushroom sauce could've been infused a little longer as I didn't get a hint of truffle, and I LOVE truffle!! The burger patty itself was ok, a bit bland to be honest. I asked for it to be medium but it was pretty well done. I do like how it was presented. I ordered a cappuccino, not a great idea to serve it in a glass as you can't pick it up to drink it. So by the time I got to drink it, it was cold. Thier house craft beer was pretty good though and they had some pretty interesting milkshakes on the menu. Will go back as I'd like to experience a friday night there, but I think I'll order a pizza next time, along with a different beverage.

We were invited to a friend's birthday at this branch in Century City, and hands down, is it the best of the franchise group. As you walk in, you get a great upbeat vibe, from the music that is playing. You're greeted by friendly hostesses that took us to our table. The service from our waitress was so on point, especially as I wanted a cocktail and they didn't have a cocktail menu, but she knew the list of drinks, off hand. I ordered a main grilled calamari with chips, Dario ordered a rump steak, friends ordered a feta and bacon pizza as well as a chicken burger. The food was so tasty and filling and the atmosphere was bustling. I really enjoyed my time and experience there and would definitely make a return very soon! Amy Mcwilliams

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch early supper. It's in quite a nice place in Century City you can watch the world go by or maybe cars. Service was very good we didn't feel rushed which was a good thing as the sun was out. They have quite a few tables outside which is great for summer if it's winter sun then they do have outside heaters to keep you warm as the sun goes down. We stayed with the burgers and chips which came in an old gerry can and tasted yummy. I had a tigers milk Beer and partner had a cocktail. They have a wide range of craft beers as well. TV'S are on the walls if you don't want to miss some sport. Overall good vibes place to eat or drink. After work place for drinks with friends.

Love the feel and energy of this bar, reminds me of being in the States. Good craft beer selection on tap. Especially enjoyed the Stellies Pale Ale and Riot Valve.

Great service. Lovely location, and the beef was amazing! A really good experience, and really resonates the groups goals as a South African micro national brand. Keep it up! Loving it!

Tigers Milk in Century City has an awesome weekday-night vibe! the food is extremely good especially their burgers and wings! Its the perfect spot to go for an after work drink or dinner. Being a resident in Century City I must say this is one of the trendiest and vibiest place right now!

Went for Sunday lunch. Food was amazing - we had the half peri-peri chicken and the ribs. Both dishes were worth the 40 minute wait, prepared to perfection and well presented. Loved the fries, and the mushroom sauce was super tasty as well. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. After some glitches with lighting the heater and working the credit card machine he explained that it was his first shift here - which is always appreciated. The decor and ambiance caters to a lively, vibrant foodie type crowd - all in all a lovely spot to which we will certainly return often, I foresee.

Went the day after it opened and I loved the atmosphere, super trendy and although the wait staff were clearly nervous the service was still good.
My only issue which was raised with the manager when we were leaving was that another customer had their pug with them inside the restaurant and the manager said he did tell the customer that he can't allow that going forward.
I will go there again.
Walking in here I was impressed by the large bar and modern copper decor. The welcome was friendly and the service good! The menu doesn't have the greatest variety, but the food was tasty, so if I only took that into account when rating it would have been a 4. BUT we all work hard for our money and that unfortunately plays a big role. So, I had an avo and feta salad which consisted of half an avo, two tomato wedges, a few feta pieces, onion rings and lettuce. I think the cost for this could not be more than R15, but I had to pay R95 - which is the same price for a salad at The Twelve Apostles (where the price can be justified by the view). A reasonable price for the salad I had would have been between R55-R65. I was thinking of having my birthday here, but I don't like to have my friends feel ripped off.
Really good food and really good atmosphere. Went on a chilly winters night and the place was packed and stocked with heaters, maling the experience a bit more cozy. Love the views and surroundings. Everyone loved their food.

Spent my last few hours in Cape Town enjoying farewell drinks with my pals here. Food a tad on the pricey side, though portions are extremely generous! Lovely, friendly and efficient waitress! My only gripe was the music was sooo loud it drowned out any hope of conversation.

Otherwise loved the decor, menu and easy to get to location 😀

Probably one of the newest most popular restaurants which has opened up in the last few months & I definitely needed to check it out. Ended up taking my team to Tiger's milk @ century city last evening. The space is beautiful, great vibe and service was fine if not exceptional.

The food was a totally different thing. 4 of my colleagues ended up have bad tummy issues over night and in the morning continuing. For a restaurant group of this quality, I would think the chef's and guys in kitchen know about their food safety standards & follow everything for the best hygiene and health rules. Hoping this was a once off incident.

I went there shortly after they opened, and the service was shocking, burgers went flying on the floor, orders never arrived etc. I chalked that down to being new. Unfortunately it hasn't improved much. The waiters don't know their own burgers. Delivered the wrong items to the wrong people, when you could visibly see that wasn't the burger described on the menu. Cappuccino's are also not made correctly, scalding hot, and then served in a glass without a handle. How is someone supposed to pick it up? This was the case on both occasions I've been there.
Londiwe Mkhize
Beautiful modern and trendy restaurant in century city. They're are best known for "dude food" is what our waiter said. I automatically imagined very oily and heavy. However, my rump was just scrumptious. It was so soft and delicate. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and so did my team.
Magically Nick
We visited Tigers Milk on a Saturday night and it was absolutely packed. It was very noisy, not in a bad way- the ambience was bustling and conducive to a good, social night out, probably not appropriate for an intimate dinner. The house beer was excellent. Service was fast end efficient. The burgers were right up there with the best in Cape Town. Generous portions too. Tigers Milk is another feather in the cap and welcome addition to the Century City precinct.

I was quite disappointed in my evening as we had heard such excellent things about this place. We went on a Saturday night, we had made a reservation on the Tuesday to get a table near a TV and not near a door - whilst we could sort of see what was going on with the rugby, we were seated right by the main entrance door which was opened and closed every thirty seconds or so. Our waiter was friendly and polite, he told us that we should order as soon as possible before the big tables start filling up, which we did and the food arrived within 10-15 minutes. I ordered the calamari and a side of fries - both of which were cold by the time they reached the table which was not great. I tasted some of my other friends' dishes which included chicken strips (salty and something you would see at your Sunday braai) and the bacon and avo pizza which was the best food on the table.

Decided to pop in for breakfast this morning, I really loved the decor and the music. Unfortunately we didn't pick the best time to visit as it was a Sunday morning and the church down the road was in the middle of its service so parking was a bit of a nightmare but we eventually found a spot not too far. The service was super friendly and very quick. We had the breakfast burgers, which were really good value for R55. It came with a perfect sunny side up egg, 4 pieces of bacon, lettuce, tomato and red onion on a toasted bun, with a pretty decent amount of super yummy chips as well. Definitely keen to come back for a real burger or a pizza as these both looked amazing coming out of the kitchen!

Had a lovely morning mid morning eats at this restaurants. We sat outside and service was really good they even put the outside heater closer to us to keep us toasty. Food was very good and portion i had was good to . I had the Tempura Prawn.

Lovely atmosphere on a Monday night. First time at Tiger's Milk really like the decor, the staff are really friendly and helpful.
Will definitely go back for the burgers!!

Tiger"s Milk Century City is a welcome addition to the area. And it did not disappoint. Vibey restaurant with good food and good service. Cant wait for summer to sit outside and just have a glass of wine after work.

On arriving we were very very pleasantly greeted by Celeste. Had good coffee followed by an awesome breakfast. We will definitely be back...:)

Great place, great vibe, great food (especially the Asian Pulled Pork Pizza). I can see this restaurant quickly becoming a local favourite. The staff were friendly and quick in getting me settled as I was the last to be seated at our table. Great job guys and girls@

Love this place!! Gorgeous decor and even though we chose the coldest Cape Town evening of the year I nearly overheat with 2 gad heaters at our table. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was great!! Do not leave without having some parmesan fries and truffle infused aoli dip.
Kurt Baden Cairns
Unbelievable. Such a great vibe. The pulled pork pizza was out of this world, paired with the "old museum" Merlot. The waitress was professional and served timely and the dessert was just short sensational. This franchise needs a space in Joburg and when you do decide to, call me... You have a willing investor. Spot on. 0.5 deducted because if was cold. Love you. Bye.

Went for dinner for a friends birthday. The place and setting is absolutely beautiful. On Mondays there's a 2 for 1 burger special. Great to grab a bite or for a special dinner celebration. 💕
Theodora Lee
Super busy! Which is great for them, but not for those who haven't booked and simply want beer and truffle fries! We are often doomed to sit outside in the freezing cold. Luckily high they have heaters, so no stress especially after your first draft. This restaurant is hopping with 9-5 work folk and local residents from the Century City area. The menu is quite limited especially for vegetarians. But the truffle fries and craft beer are sometimes all you need for a spontaneous evening out.

Brand spanking new and what a great setting in front of a fountain and pier at The Square which is linked to the new convention centre. I had the stepchild burger and it was great. A good helping of crispy fries too. This branch has a far lighter mood and is less frantic and noisy than the Long Street counterpart.
Grant Kenchington
I've always wanted to check out Tigers Milk. So naturally when I heard my girlfriends family were all heading there for Father's Day I got pretty excited!

I was super surprised at how awesome and convenient the location of this particular branch is.
From the road it's lit up in typical Cape Town hipster fashion which gets your beer buds tingling for some craft craftyness.

There's not an overwhelming choice of 6thousand starters and 4hundred mains ton of use you so we're made a meze platter of starters to share at our large table. Each stater was great (the ribs being my favorite) for mains I had the Asian pulled pork pizza which was super thin crust and delicious!!

I definitely recommend trying this place and I'll surely be back!! Myself and the family decided to try out the newly-opened Tiger's Milk in Century City tonight.

First and foremost, the ambience and decor must be commended. It is a uniquely styled restaurant with much attention to detail - giving a good feel while siting at the table.

Between the family, we ordered a rump, sirloin, fillet, margarita pizza and the peri chicken. We received our order in good time - probably 15 minutes - despite the restaurant being reasonably busy.

Each of our steaks were cooked as we requested, and were extremely tasty. The peri chicken didn't disappoint, and was enjoyed too. The pizza, however, was slightly disappointing, as it didn't have enough cheese and felt like you were eating a plain pizza base a lot of the time.

Another slight drawback was the service, where two of us mistakenly received chips when we had ordered side salads, and one of our steak sauces were incorrect. It must be said, however, that it was quickly rectified by the waitress once we brought it to her attention.

All in all, it was an enjoyable meal amid a comfortable atmosphere, and other than the sub-par pizza and order errors, it cannot be faulted.

On a closing note, the 200g fillet steak with an accompanying side cost R180 - wildly overpriced in my opinion. The other meals were relatively well priced though.

Glad to have given it a try, but not sure I'd rush back in a hurry.
Jessica
This is definitely my favourite or the Tigers Milk bars, the wait staff are all fantastic and the breakfast is 100% amazing, despite the fact they only serve beer after 11AM.

We heard that this was a new 'happening place'. So after a dinner out with friends we all opted to end off the evening at Tiger's Milk. We walked in, at around 11pm, and no one bothered to greet us or offer us a table. After seating ourselves at one of the long tables with bar stools, it took a while before we were offered menus. We were then told that the bar was closing at 11.30pm... huh?! It says 'till 2am' on your website AND it's a Saturday night. The waitress was extremely apologetic but said they had only just been told that they were closing early. I counted about 6/7 tables of people still seated enjoying themselves... go figure. Anyways, we ordered a few rounds of drinks. Then around 11.45pm the one, really big sliding door was slid wide open and it was freezing outside. Our party was right in the draft. When I went to go close it, I got the 3rd degree from the two security guards. It seems like we were interested in staying but everyone (the staff) just wanted to pack up and leave as quickly as possible.

Sad, the venue is a truly nice one but the over-priced drinks coupled with the fact that it seemed they weren't interested in actually making this a memorable experience at all creates a one time only visit to this establishment.

Cheers Tigers Milk.... We'd rather take our business elsewhere.

I went for drinks after work one Thursday afternoon and was excited to try the new restaurant. Stunning location and it's always nice to have new restaurants in Century City outside of the mall. I must say I was a bit disappointed by the lack of any specials or happy hour. You would think with Slug and Lettuce across the road that they would want to attract customers with enticing specials but they don't seem worried. We sat down and ordered a few drinks, the waiters are very quick to take your order but then seem to disappear. We had to ask where they were a few times. Then one of my friends asked for cheese cake and they said they were out of stock so we thought ok let's get the bill which turned into a mission itself. Again waiters disappeared. I asked 3 people for a card machine so we could pay our bill, I think we could have left and nobody would have noticed. I also asked for change for parking and none of the waiters had any. How can waiters not have a float? Overall they are very quick to seat you and take your order but then don't expect to see them for a while. And if you are looking for a happy hour then stick to slug. They also don't serve any kind of breakfast which is disappointing.

What a good experience! Century City generally lacks restaurants with good atmosphere. Mall & hotel restaurants can feel like just another generic place you'd find. But this place, refreshing, simple, yet tasteful with industrial decor and ambient lighting.
Service was good and our pizza was delicious!

Went to Tiger's Milk Century City. Evening starting our poorly with our reserved table being hijacked by some patrons who refused to move. Credit to the manager who managed to move them. Service thereafter was slow. Took 20 mins to take our drinks and meal order. Drinks arrived 20 mins after placing it. When the food eventually arrived, The Triple Bypass was perfectly done and tasty and so were the chicken wings. Received a complimentary round of drinks to apologise for the inconvenience which was appreciated. Vibe, food, venue was great, service needs to be sped up and be more on point. I'll give them another chance.

We decided to check out this restaurant on opening night. It is located in the new business section of Century City. This restaurant is rustic and trendy, with an industrial-chic ambiance and an outdoor lounge section. It is a restaurant and a bar - great vibey place to go for a drink after a long day at work. The staff is friendly and the manager welcomed us with a warm smile at the door.

Their menu consists of easy pub-style food such as burgers, pizzas, ribs and steaks.

On opening night I opted for the Triple Bypass burger - red onion, lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon with a truffle-infused mushroom sauce served with fries on the side. The burger was good and tasty. The truffle oil added extra flavour to the mushroom sauce. My only concern was that my food was lukewarm.

Overall a great experience and definitely a place to kick back and relax with friends. Will be back!

We were extremely excited for the opening of this restaurant. We all reside in the Century City area and visited Tiger's Milk today. I know they only opened yesterday but you would expect them to be on the ball seeing that it's their 1st week of trade. Service was extremely slow and really bad- and it was quiet... Waited 30mins for a bottle of wine just to be informed that they don't have that specific wine in stock... We ordered something else. Then waited 15mins and she came back with the original bottle we had ordered. (Apparently she made them look for it) Food was super average. A friend ordered food as take out and they ran out of cheese. Order delayed for 40mins. (There's a supermarket opposite the road) Bill was a total nightmare as we were charged for things we never ordered but were added as a mistake by the waitress. A few of us had Gin and tonics but on the bill we were charged for Gilbey's, Gordon's and Bombay Sapphire. No one ever asked for a specific brand of gin. I do understand that it's a new establishment but I feel like the waitress had no experience and really needed a lot more exposure. The place is beautiful but I think they need to start off strong and make a good impact. I'm not sure if we will be back soon.

I had heard good things about the other restaurants so when they opened in Century City I was keen to check this out. So we arrived on opening night and we didn't have a reservation but were accommodated with a table. Very warm, very friendly greeting by the staff. Very cool vibe and the decor is along those lines of a gastro pub. Lots of copper and urban, exposed roof.

Reviewed the menu and it's very good, pub style food. Burgers, steaks, ribs and pizzas.

We could tell the staff were bit busy but it took enough time for us to decide what we wanted to drink as well as our meals before our waitress took our order.

We ordered the Triple Bypass burger and pulled pork pizza. I ordered the Tiger's Milk Larger and glass of white wine.

The drinks took a little longer than I expected but that's probably due to opening night. Food took probably longer than what to expect a burger and a pizza to be prepared. When it arrived it felt that the food sat in the kitchen for a few minutes longer than it should of. All in all the food was good it I felt the pizza needed some flavor from the pork. The larger was quite good which had nice sweet, crispy notes.

All in all, I'd recommend Tiger's Milk if you are after a friends with drinks and relaxed atmosphere.
