Have visited this spot a few times and have never been dissapointed. The garlic naan is generous and fresh, whilst the curry is creamy and flavoursome. Wish they had a bit of a better balance between the mild (which is not spicy at all) and the medium (that is quite hot). The butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and kormas (chicken and lamb) are all great. We also enjoyed the chicken palak as a milder option. Love that they allow you to bring your own wine (no corkage) as they do not have a liqour licence. It is a take-away spot, so the service is at best ok, and the ambiance a bit lacking. But a great inexpensive option if you are in the mood for Indian food. Try ordering a few different dishes and sharing around the table as the portions are big enough to share as well.
We have never tried any Indian restaurant but wanted something different. Decided to get a takeaway from The Royal India Express and weren’t disappointed. I had the chicken roti and it was very tasty and very filling! The only aspect I didn’t like was the very large pieces of onion, although not a train smash. Will be back to try the other options on the menu.
Also tried their butter chicken and garlic naan! Delicious! The mild is sweet and spicy at the same time! Big portion.
The curry is really good. My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Portion sizes are generous and the naan bread is always fresh.
Staff is super friendly and the service has been great every time.
Die royal India one of the finest Indian restaurant in Centurion. I would recommend for an authentic Indian food. I ordered as per my waiter's recommendations Lamb bu@nna gosht with garlic naan. And I must say it is one of my fav now. It was that much busy that staff forgot to switch on TV but never mind. But next Liverpool vs Crystal city I will watch there with my fav kos. Geen Bathroom😣 Never mind. hou daarvan

+3.5
This should be classed as an upmarket tale away. It looks stunning for the size. Loads of people walk in for take always I was the only dinner. Staff/management friendy. NOT LICENCED - get wine at woolies.
Now to the food, The startets of Samosas was underwhelming, and they didn't want to give a variety. I cannot help but to think they felt they gad to add a starter.
I had butter chicken as mains - and as a previous reviewer posted its of the best in pretoria! The butter naan - fantastic! I will make this place as my new local Indian takeaway - snd even order a few dishes to entertain. Dont miss out!
As for service - well i was the wierd guy sitting in the corner, on his ipad. - its a take-away place with a few tables / dont treat it more than that! 😁
We love Indian and decided to pop in here!
The service is quick and the food is reallt good! We had a butter chicken and lamb which was excellent.
The portions are ok and everything comes with rice which iw great, usually this is an extra cost at Indian restaurants.
We always have naan, it was a bit dry but with the curry it was great!
The only negative is that the prices are a bit high for what you get and the restaurant lacks atmosphere. Uf the prices were a bit lower I would definitely get take aways here often!
Very happy with the meals we had here recently, it was lunch time so can't comment on ambiance as we were the only diners, but service was friendly and efficient and the curries had great flavour. The lamb was tasty though a little dry but the fish tikka was delicious! Will be back to try other dishes with pleasure.
A welcome new Indian take away in the area. The samoosas are small and a tad oily but very tasty and best eaten hot (as in, on your way out from collecting your meal). Heat level HOT is more than palatable while conveying the flavour. Portion sizes are decent and almost all meals are boneless. I did enjoy the extras that came with the Vindaloo which made this a 2-portion meal. I will definitely be a return customer at the new store at Southdowns.
The best butter chicken in all of Pretoria! Only rivalled by the butter chicken at the Oriental Plaza. Ordered a medium; almost blew the roof off, will get a mild next time. Pity it is so expensive... The lamb biryani was very tasty too.
Loved the chicken biriyani here. It has got a good taste . One thing that I liked is it is not loaded with oil . The chicken in it is so soft and tasty. Worth giving a try . Will definitely be a regular here :)
Hospitality beyond imagination! The staff was welcoming and know their menu and service, I was hosting a birthday party for my daughter.... my family was taken good care of and I would recommend for events, parties etc. The service and food is beyond our imaginations. Keep up the good standard guys.
I have no words... This is by far the best Indian food I have ever had! Portion sizes are generous, amazing taste and the service is spot on! I will gladly recommend the Royal India to anyone.
They cooked dishes for us outside of the Menu . They are really good in what the do. Cheers to them
