Review The Punjabian - Centurion

One of my favourite local spots! Value for money for sure. Never dissapointment. They are also willing to compromise and change up their dishes to suit your dietary preferences

Very good value for money. Genuine Indian home cooking. Totally fresh ingredients, not too heavy or oily and spicing exactly as ordered. Clean and neat tables with fresh tablecloths and pleasant room feeling. Excellent service. Easy and safe parking. A really pleasant surprise and cut above the rest.

I love how these guys keep improving their restaurant. The food quality stays great. What started as a humble takeaway has turned into a dining establishment, they're pouring their heart and soul and clearly a lot of their profit back into improving their restaurant! Keep it up Punjabian!

Great restaurant with very friendly service. They have a wide range of authentic curries to choose from each uniquely delicious! Try the korma, tikka masala and the breyani and don't forget to order lost of delicious Naan bread!

We first got exposed to the punjabian via takeaway via Uber eats. The food was good but very limited. Today we decided to sit down to see if it made a difference. Food was so much better! Fresh white loaf for my bunny, reasonable amount of meat, delicious spicy gravy. My son ordered a chicken vindaloo but got a lamb in stead, but it was delicious nonetheless. Wife had breyani but said next time she will go boneless in stead of on the bone as the meat was a little lean on the bone. Best naan I have ever had! Seems like you have to do the effort to sit down if you want good portions and nice food. Don't do take away. Owners were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back...but be up front with expectations and you won't be disappointed. I asked for fresh bread and that's what I got. There is nothing worse than a bunny chow with three day old stale bread. Sorry no photos but trust me it was great!

Wish i lived nearer to the restaurant. Possibly a good thing i do not as i already struggle to loose weight and if i could enjoy their meals more often, oh my goodness it would be impossible to loose any weight. I only managed to support the Punjabian twice and both times i was so impressed with the flavour of their meals. My first experience was the chicken biryane which was divine. My second experience was with the butter chicken and oh my word was that a pleasure to enjoy. The chicken was so tender and delicious, never mind the delicious sauce the chicken was prepared in. This truly turned out to be a finger linking amazing experience with not wanting to loose even a crumb of the delicious meal. The service is fast and professional and their dishes absolutely mouth watering.

The food here is definitely the main attraction! If you are looking for authentic and delicious Indian quisine, you will have a hard time finding a place that does it better than The Punjabian... The restaurant itself is not upmarket or flashy, it is however cozy, the service is great and it is permitted to bring your own alcohol (corkage fee does apply) Give it a try, you will not be disappointed

We decided to try a new place and to our delight the Punjabian did not disappoint! The cuisine was rich in flavours and textures the server was enthusiastic and insightful. Over all it turned out to be a fantastic evening! Can't wait to go back!

Really good tasty authentic Indian food at very affordable prices. We ate 2 x main course curries (one chicken and one vegetarian) with naan bread and a Tandori mixed platter (3 types of meat and samoosas) for R300. The portions were so big that half of the food went home with us.

Great Indian take-away food! The closest you'll get to real Mumbai style cuisine. Restaurant is neat and service good. Do not sell liquor, so take your own.

Best north Indian dishes I've tasted. Would recommend this to anyone keen on trying something different from the norm. Chicken korma was legendary.

Friendly but unobtrusive service. Great curry, you choose the heat that you enjoy. Bring your own wine. This place definitely deserves to be better subsidised!

Not very impressed by this place. Extremely weirdly coloured dishes. The meat wat scarce and very funny taste. Extremely expensive for bad quality. Will not go back.

Lovely staff, always a pleasure to have their food. The lamb Korma and Garlic Nans are next to a heavenly taste. We eat here regularly and are never disappointed.

The staff are always friendly and we've never been disappointed with the food. Try the chicken korma with butter naan. It will melt your mind.

Had dinner with Marianna Levien here tonight and the chicken korma, chicken palak together with naan was to die for. Real indian flavours and a very humble setting makes one feel nothing but comfortable and satisfied!

The flavors of the food is amazing! I've never dined here but always order takeaways at least once a week and it is always fresh and ready on time. A must try is the butter chicken or the lamb korma and pair it with a nice thin piece of garlic naan.

Have been coming to this place since 2 years.... roughly once in 2 months.... and we just love the food !! Yes, decor and hygiene is not great, but the food taste is one of the best in Centurion/Pretoria.

An aunthentic indian food experience , good service , excellent food. Note if you are unsure whether to take mild medium or hot .. ask the waiter for his advice as they know their dishes . The lamb briyani is a winner . Have eaten here twice now and on both occassions had a delightful experience.

Food took half an hour to be prepared the prices are extremely high R96 for a lamb briyani and R78 for the chicken. Both briyani's had no flavour they were basically lamb or chicken mixed with rice with some curry powder added I'm sorry but that is not a briyani I could made a better briyani at home . I can't understand how anyone could give this place 5 stars. As for the chicken samosa's no flavour either and were very very mild. The butter chicken was sweet and not spicy.

I have been coming here for about a year and I'm never disappointed. I would rate it some of the best and adorable India food available in Gauteng. The staff are always friendly. Yes the decor is very low key but the butter naan are worth it.

Very good tasty food. Friendly. Authentic. Had a great meal. The samosas's were delicious. Decor not great but has what you need. What a diamond in Irene!

Great food, good service , pleasant staff and value for money. Highly recommended if you know your Indian food. Couldn't disagree more with the so called experts.

DANGER: I was so excited to try this place in the hopes of finding a gem but was let down...hard! The samosas had very little filling in it and by the time I got round to trying the naan it was so hard you need to drop it to break off a piece! The curries were very sweet and the medium was very hot! The place is also not much to look at and hygiene also left much to be desired!

Best Indian food I've had since being in India. If only the bland premises could do justice to the incredible food. Try the chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. Don't ask for hot unless you are truly prepared

Truly fantastic food. Perfect balance of spicy flavours, bright colours and sweet 'Naan Breads'. My 'Lamb Bhuna Ghost' and my fiancés' 'Lamb Korma', both cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, not even the great tasting food could make up for the decor, hygiene, ambiance and music, or lack thereof. The only reason I would go back (if ever) is because of the food, no corkage fee and our waiter; Ash. Takeaways would be the perfect solution for me, but they are a tad bit too expensive to make it worthwhile.

This place's food is absolutely phenomenal. The best Indian food around! Cannot wait to have it again. Will be back soon, with all of my friends!
