Review Whisk - Centurion

Capetown G
The place is always relaxed and laid back. Our waiter Bheki was friendly yet spot on from start to finish. Our food was also good but we liked the spice your life the best from the lot.. ideal for families and friends

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was. Caters for kids and your 4 legged friends. The food was great and the service was good. We went on a week night, so it was quiet. Will definitely go back.

The staff are amazing, VERY friendly and eager to assist. Kids are welcome with a separate entrance for families should you wish not to walk past the bar. Generous play area for the little ones and some animals to see too. The food is great, but make sure to check the busy times to avoid longer waiting times.

When we want foccacia - we go here. It is affordable, and delicious. Today was the first time we tried the coffee shake & it was one of the best tasting coffee shakes we have tried so far. Many times you can taste the instant coffee, or the balance of coffee to ice cream is off, but this tasted like actual coffee in a milkshake, you need to go and try it out. Service is a bit interesting - but when you aren't in a rush, then the slow service helps you to slow down as well and just relax.

Really great experience here for our year end function. Venus ensured great food, good service for almost 70 people and kept the bill split and organized throughout. They arranged for buffet food that was delicious and served perfectly on time.

22/9/2023 First time at this restaurant - it's a huuuuge place! There are tables next to the parking area (smoking area), tables inside, tables next to the pond and kids' play area. Great service - the waiters were so patient with me - I walked back and forth, couldn't decide where we wanted to sit. Ordered a black Americano coffee and a cappuccino. Hein ordered 'The Green Way' breakfast - smashed avo on rye bread with poached eggs - it was a big portion and sooooo good!!! I ordered a toasted brown bread salami and cheddar cheese sandwich with sweet potato fries. We shared half-half. The fries were fantastic!!!!!! The Green Way was so delicious! The sandwich was good, but I would have loved more butter-toasted on the outside. Loved the chip sauce, as well as the chilli cream sauce!! Have to come back for some more!!!

Went there for coffee and dessert. Red Cappuccino and a waffle with ice cream. Was devine. The nursery (Plantland) next door is beautiful đŸ€©.

Friendly local bar. They played enjoyable music, the food was good. The staff is friendly, theres one particular tall guy but can't remember his name, amazing service. I love their cocktails 😁
Shandré Jonck
Very welcoming when you first walk in. Love that there are different seating areas with different decor and feel. Cappuccino was really good, well done to the barista. Breakfast also good portion for price. Only downside our waitresses didn't seem to have much of a personally.

What a pleasant afternoon. The steak was divine, and the options / selections on styles and flavors were such a fun experience. The dessert menu has a variety of options. Paul's ice cream and the soft serve is my personal favourite

What a gem, on our doorstep.<br/>Lively vibe.<br/>Eventhough it was really busy the service was excellent.<br/>The food was delicious.<br/>Very generous portion.<br/>I had the chicken roll with veggies.<br/>What a well balanced homey meal<br/>The spinach was a highlight, topped with a lot of danish feta.<br/>The butternut was sweet and sticky😋<br/>And the chicken moist and well seasoned.<br/><br/>Great place for a evening out.

I had a generous portion of uncle sam :-) although tasty, I can unfortunately not award it the best burger in Town. My partner had the T-Rex 2.0 (600g). The meat was overdone and a bit chewy. Onion rings was PERFECT and the salad was fresh. Overall great vibe on a Saturday evening, gets busy when the sun sets.
Sorina Mulke
Everything was good, except one dish. Pork belly was tough, but the manager handled my concerns like a champ and removed it from the bill. Will definitely be back. Service is friendly and efficient.

Whisk was the venue to send our friends off to their overseas trip. We had a warm welcome at the door and were shown to our table in the back. There was even some live entertainment, but the acoustics is not set up correctly. Needless to say, we placed our drinks order and came to the table in record time. We then places our starters order (pork belly nuggets, jalapeño poppers and riblets). Riblets (my starter) was good. Mains arrived later (chimichurri fillets, avo & bacon burger (the burger was wow. I enjoyed it very much...tasty)) Finished off with dessert (homemade smores dessert, milk & cookies (deep fried oreo with nutella sauce & ice cream). Very good all over experience! Will be back. Also thanks to Given for the good service.

My friend and I went to Whisk for an early dinner on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. <br/><br/>The atmosphere is lively and homey and the staff are friendly and accommodating. <br/><br/>We both happened to order their chicken pie with veggies. The pastry could have been a bit crispier and the chicken wasn’t cut small enough for my liking, but otherwise it was absolutely delightful, one of the best chicken pies I have ever had. <br/><br/>I would recommend this place for family and friend gatherings.

I’ve been to whisk twice and both times we had great experience! Theor pizzas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Even though I’m not much of a dessert person, their cookies&milk is delicious! One of my favourite restaurants!

Love the energy. The food is great and it’s overall just a lekka vibe đŸ”„ I went here the first time during the day, very relaxing, with a mix of all ages - there’s a place for the kids to hang out too. At night, it’s like a new group of people enter. It becomes a hotspot for ‘after work drinks’ or just hanging with friends. Highly recommend. Day or night!

Such an amazing experience! The Burgers were delicious, the best in Pretoria! A great variety of craft beer and gin, and mouth-watering waffles!
Jani Rust
Whisk wine bar has a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed their cocktails and pizzas. The service wasn’t bad and the variety on the menu was good. Their prices are quite affordable. I will return here soon.
Sophie Baker
Excellent pizzas (some of the best in centurion - crispy and thin) and a good selection of drinks in a nice setting but service can be slow. Tapas and burgers are decent but not exceptional.
Dionné Annandale
Good service came back for a second time food was really good the first time.<br/>The menu is much bigger than on Zomato, we had the chicken pie and it's definitely worth the money, if you're looking for a good big lunch then the pie is a must try.<br/>I must say I'm really happy with the service the manager came around to make sure everything was in order and the service nice and fast with friendly staff
Narisha Singh
Great ambience. Suitable restaurant for families, friends and couples. It's a very trendy and popular spot. With a amazing selection of alcoholic drinks. Definitely have a good selection of wines. <br/>However the service is quite poor. Waited 45 min to get a waiter to take our order. Once we finally ordered the food was not so great. Really disappointed by the quality in the tapas.
Lelani Dockel
Best burgers in Pretoria<br/>Was very very pleasantly surprised <br/><br/>Starter: Mac n Cheese balls are really not nice - if that is all we ordered this place would have gotten a shocking rating.

Love love love Whisk Wine Bar been going here every occasion i can get my hands on. We travel all the way from montana. The food is absolutely delicious the drinks as well a great variety of food and drinks. Have to say well done to our waiter the other night they lost our booking for smoking area and the waiter totally took control was very impressed. LOVE THIS PLACE<br/>

Good food, good pizza, good service and many drinks options. Live music was a nice touch. <br/>Good vibe with laid back down to earth people, no dress code and lots of outdoor seating options.
Jardene Bekker
Amazing breakfast this morning at Wisk wine bar. The food was really tasty and great value for money. Definitely coming back here to try the rest.
Kayla Potgieter
I was there for my bachelorette, the vibe was great - fun and relaxed at the same time. The food was very good, wine list had nice variety, and service was spot on.
Andre Van Rensburg
Food is average to good. Some of the waiters are fantastic, some need training. Manager needs serious people skills training. I personally will never go there again.
Jessica Burke
Service was strange, the waiter took an order for drinks from one of us and ran to put it on the pos. The rest of the table waited till he brought the one order.....<br/>Ordered the Thai prawn green curry. Firstly it came with tastic rice instead of jasmine/basmati ... the 3 prawns I got were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy a over spicy meal. Could take more than two mouthfuls.<br/>Meat was absolutely amazing <br/>Wasn’t blown away at all....<br/>

Whisk is somewhat of a local watering-hole for my family and friends alike. We live very around the corner of it, and we are impressed at how much the restaurant has improved over the past years. <br/><br/>The menu has expanded a lot, with some great items on it. I haven't had any problems except the occasional slow service, but this didn't hinder my experience at all. The burgers are well priced, taste amazing and the entire menu is great. <br/><br/>The decĂłr is quirky and interesting, the staff friendly and the drinks menu extensive and delicious. I adore the cocktails! <br/><br/>I was also pleasantly surprised by the collection of icecream from Paul's Homemade Icecream- absolutely divine and well worth a try.
Temcki_tinx
Very nice place.<br/>Good service, friendly people and you can really enjoy your time here. Great place to have drink with your friends! <br/>Lovely vintage interior with modern elements to create a relaxed and cosy vibe.
Carlé Dippenaar
Whisk is our favourite go-to restaurant. They have something for everyone, and are kid-friendly. The waiters are well-trained and bend over backwards to help. The food is delicious, and portions are good. Well thought-out wine list, and incredibly extensive craft beer menu. Perfect Friday night spot with live music.
Beverley Butler Van Schalkwyk
Totally disgusted with the unprofessional way the owner/manager treated his one regular customer the other evening.  He should get his facts right before physically abusing them.  Whisk will definitely not see us regular customers again.
Mariette Krause
We had dinner with family last night. We love Whisk and often visit. Service is always really good and friendly. However, last night I have to confess that I was very disappointed with the food. We ordered tapas and it was really oily. For main I had a chicken pie and the pastry was raw... I just ate the filling... I ordered the veggie crisps only to realise it was chips from a bag. For some reason I find the cocktails have become very expensive. I paid almost R90 for a gin and pink lemonade cocktail and although it was good I would not order it again at that price. I am sorry guys, not sure if you just had a bad night but I was really disappointed with the food and the cost of your cocktails. However service and the coffee was great.
Candice De Alcantara
This a a bit of a hidden gem. A great vibey place with a good wine, whiskey & gin selection. A big plus is that you can order a great hubbly here. I have been here more than a few times & the service is a bit erratic - sometimes great & sometimes not great at all. <br/><br/>The food selection is quite good - something for everyone. I've tried...<br/>Lamb pie - good but can sometimes be a bit dry<br/>Pizza - really awesome (quite an interesting selection when it comes to toppings)<br/><br/>Burger - pretty good as burgers go<br/>Steak & salad - not too bad <br/>Chicken livers - nice but lacking a bit of bite / heat<br/>Beef trinchado - really good <br/>Jalapeño poppers - great! <br/>Pasta (Alfredo) - my favourite on the menu <br/>Croquettes- quite nice<br/>The prices are very reasonable & the portions are good!! <br/><br/>It is also a great place to host a function & they do really nice platters. I will continue to be a regular here :) <br/>
Andre Rheeder
Great food and service! <br/>Nice place for the kids to play. <br/>They have the best burgers in town!<br/>Very helpful when making a booking. Also phoned to suggest change in seating arrangement when weather turned bad.
Carice De Jager
I was looking very forward to having dinner at Whisk, I was somehow very disappointed. <br/><br/>The jalapeño poppers, wonton said (which look like spring rolls) were nothing special. <br/><br/>I ordered the prawn steak and all I could taste is gas, I sent it back and the second one still didn't seem right. <br/><br/>I will, however come around again and see if I can change my review.

So last night we decide to pop-in at Whisk again as my hubby was in the mood for a good burger. Whisk is a very cracterful restaurant with a relaxed vibe. <br/>Well done to the management at Whisk!!!! <br/>The food is always fresh & delicious. I havent had a burger there before but hubby did. <br/>I have to say I loved it!!! My battery died so could not take fotos but I ate The Mexican & hubby the Uncle Sam burger.<br/>The bun was so fresh and the burger patty of such good quality & FRESH, fresh toppings, fresh bun, fresh side salad + delicious onion rings!!! WoW!!! Yum!!<br/>We had a talk with the owner & what a great guy!!! <br/>Roman the porker pizza on a previouse occasion also really tasty. Also had breakfast at Whisk & also fresh and good value for money. <br/>Whisk is also child friendly. <br/>

Always a good evening here. Summer or winter. Great service. Unique menus and variety of drinks. Also awesome family vibe and live music. Great for kids also.
Marie
A quaint little place which i am not sure how to define. Its called a wine bar, but could be confused with a coffee shop, tea garden or kiddies restaurant. <br/><br/>The menu caters to anything from Italian to greek with decent sizes and reasonable prices. The tapas served on boards to facilitate easy sharing (whether you want to or not) <br/><br/>The service is outstanding, our waiter's name was Julius and he treated us well from start to finish. <br/><br/>

After a chat with fellow foodies - I decided to try Whisk. We decided to pop by on a Friday evening and it was insanely busy! The atmosphere is vibrant and on a Friday night there is even a band. It's a great place to socialize. And is very child friendly, which is great for families, which there were many. As you walk through the main door there is a huge bar and couches which creates a very relaxed environment. Our waitress Refilwe was very sweet and was quick to get us a table even though there was a constant hustle and bustle with people walking in and out and people waiting to be seated. We were lucky to get a table so quickly. Their menu has a wide variety which is perfect because there is something for everyone. We tried the Nathi's Little Lamb and Mediterranean Pizzas which are made in a wood burning oven 🍕 Both were absolutely delicious! Love the unconventional shape of the pizzas as well as the slices. Very cute and modern decor, love the fairly lights and whisks hanging around. A great new find and won't be my last visit.

This place is a hidden gem !! The atmosphere is vibrant and the energy is cheerful. The food is delicious and everything looked incredibly appetizing. I was pleased with the number of vegetarian options and the falafels I had were by far the best to date. The fried aubergine was a bit too oily and they could be cut smaller so they wouldn't have to be fried for so long. The service was relatively quick and organized considering how large our table was. A wonderful place to get together and socialize and I look forward to coming back â˜șïžđŸ˜

Whisk was a nice way to end off my weekend. A Sunday Whiskey and coke,a cocktail and a beer to cool off while eating well presented burgers and being served by a friendly waitor. Whisk also has jungle gyms for the older kids and a Jumping castle for the younger ones,I do however feel that there could be more for the toddlers as my son doesn't like to jump on the Jumping castles and had very little to do.Other than that, my Burger was tasty, but my husband felt that the number 5 Burger had very little cheese on it than advertised.Very nice atmosphere and they also have a generator for those power trips. Will be visiting again.

We have just moved in the area. So we are looking around to see what's what.<br/>The food is good value for money. And they have a good choice of beer. Will go back soon
Imogen Scott
Great vibe. They have updated the menu and it's a winner. Great service and the managers are always mingling which gives it a homey feel. The bar is GREAT! Cool shots (try brain hemorrhage). Lovely craft beers and a massive whiskey collection. Its the kind of place where you can just tell the bar tender to surprise you and he'll wip up something spectacular that blows your mind!
Michelle Stoltz
Love the vibe, love the staff, love the food.......best place to chill..<br/>Music Friday nights is perfect. True golden oldies. Children and ducks add to the chilling space

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the restaurant.. very kid friendly , nice menu, i had an onion ring and cheese steak , wife had thai green prawn curry , well priced, exceptionally tastey ... im definetly going to eat here again .. if you in irene pop past for a vist

Amazing gem of a place! AND it has the added bonus of being completely kid friendly.<br/>Food was great and the drinks menu leaves you coming back time and time again.

From outside it's hard to tell the expanse of this awesome place! We decided to do light dinner and drinks on a Friday night and decided on whisk which I'd spotted earlier that week. What a pleasant surprise! One of the most diverse clientele I've ever seen with the students and their hubblys out in front, an older crowd sipping on cocktails and having dinner out back and parents with their kids around the playground, very great. My trinchado was to die for and my dates burger was delicious! Very diverse menu with very interesting breakfast choices and a great selection of drinks including craft beers. The decor is rustic and warm. Overall a genuinely pleasant experience! Dyllan Ferrar

After I got over the fact that it is a ‘wine bar’ with very limited ‘wine by the glass’ options, Whisk really started to grow on me. Whisk is a great ‘drinks after work’ spot – the vibe is always chilled and relaxed, I love the dĂ©cor, the service is good – and let’s be honest, the pizza is great!  We often pop in on Fridays!  đŸ· And the fact that it is ‘outside’ (i.e. you are not stuck in a shopping mall) counts a lot!!
Alastair Waldeck
This place is perfect if you are in the mood for a good atmosphere and some quality drinks! Whether you sit in the front bar section (where the vibe is at it's best) or the slightly more relaxed eclectically decorated rear section, you will not be disappointed! The menu caters for every mood, from light meals and tapas, to steaks and hearty pies; all equally as tasty! The drinks definitely are an attraction here and for those more particular about what and how they drink there fine alcohols they really do know what they are doing. For example, order a tequila and they serve it in a tumbler, the right way!;) All in all, this place is well worth a try especially on a Friday or Saturday night!

Finally decided to visit this restaurant and can't believe we waited so long! The vibe (even on a Sunday) was fun but laid back, the staff is very friendly and the food was amazing! <br/>I will most definitely recommend the lamb pie - it was Amazing! We only had the option to choose between chips or salad as a side - however I think a veggie option would have taken this dish to a next level.<br/>Another table ordered a pizza and we will back to give it a try - as it looked delicious!!!
Jean-Pierre Velloen
What more then a relaxing Sunday afternoon with good music, good food and great company. One of the nicests places to visit any time of the week. <br/><br/>Had a lamb pie which was out of this world and also enjoyed a local craft beer to compliment the meal and conclude the afternoon. My wife had the basil pesto with pine nuts pasta. Great choice if you are a vegetarian. Whisk restaurant will definitely see us again!
Monica Maree
It is like my second home. The waffles are to die for,  the vibe is electric with live music on weekends I Love, Love, Love this place!!!!!!
Jana Van Breda
Food was good, service was good... Not allowed to watch Sport??? SA playing Aus... So, if you only want dinner and drinks. Great place. Don't go if you want to watch a test match on a Wednesday night.
Jenny Louw
The best part about this place is the atmosphere. It's very lively in the bar with more relaxed seating outside. They have a variety of wines but considering it's a wine bar, I wouldn't say that it was a huge variety.
Hesti Botha
Modern, fresh and pumping. Only went for birthday drinks and the craft beer was delicious. The place is viby and packed with youngsters. Will certainly go back.
Oom Wag 'n Biedtjie
I was invited here for breakfast/brunch by a friend who was looking after his kid. So we sat under the trees. There was a few kids playing around and we had burger, and a few beers(craft ginger beer beer- must have) Food was fine<br/><br/>I will definitely try and pop in one evening,I have a feeling I will enjoy it more. Plus I hear the Verve is well price!

We'd been living in Centurion for a year, befor we stumbled across this gem! It's a little hidden away.. But our first experience at Whisk was great! <br/><br/>Service was very good, and extremely friendly and welcoming. We settled on a couple pizzas and a couple glasses of wine.. Was a fantastic evening! Look forward to another visit soon..
Gabe
Not bad at all 1st time in , quite a jolly time, Lovely tapas simple but tasty a grate place to chill out and have a pickle food ... good service , kind waiter .<br/>
Lionel Smith
Very disappointed in the "waffle" today. Complained and were told that it was the way the Dutch make their waffles. We are Dutch and that is not how it is done.
Dhruv Sodha
An amazing rustic atmosphere, beyond excellent service, delicious food, huge variety of wines, beers and whiskey. What more could one ask for in life.
Jay J Botes
Such a brilliant unexpected surprise! I drove by it regularly in the past and one day I decided to go in and take them up on their Free WiFi offer in between my meetings in the Pretoria area. Well... I was pleasantly surprised.<br/><br/>The setting is a very chilled outdoor environment with chicken walking about, geese on the pond... just an absolute tranquil environment. Well, it was till the Cornwall Hill Mum's arrived for a wine or six... :)<br/><br/>I had a Cheese Burger and it was absolutely scrumptious! They have great cappuccinos and I now go there regularly on between my meetings in Pretoria. A Must visit for sure!<br/> <br/><br/>On a not so positive note. The do serve the worst Chilli Poppers in the universe! Ouch!
Elloura
We were there last Saturday for lunch. The Jalapeno Poppers we horribly soggy and the Crouquettes were undercooked and cold. When we told the manager about it she apologised and offered to being us something else, but when it came time to get the bill the owner would only give us a marginal discount on the food we did not eat and had complained about saying that we had eaten some of it by biting into it to taste it before establishing that it was disgusting. We are shocked and disgusted by this and will not be going back again.
Soné Briel
Whisk offers fantastic food and drinks and I would say it's a one of a kind bar in it's area. Great service, tasty food, wonderful atmosphere. My friends and I love going here. I've had 3 completely different meals and I have not been disappointed once. And their cocktails are to die for! Definitely one of the best drink & food combinations you will find close to Centurion.
Pig & Rant
I went whisk for a friend's 30th birthday get together and I was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting much as I had Googled whisk before I went and the pictures showed something completely different to what I experienced.<br/><br/>It is an eclectic mix of very interesting pieces and bits and bobs, and it all works so well together. The bar is beautiful and the children's play area is a very nice touch. I would love to go there during the day.<br/><br/>The waiter that helped was amazing. He made sure I always had a drink and everything was still ok and he had a great sense of humour too! We ordered a bunch of different pizzas for the table, but unfortunately I only managed to get a bite of one slice, but I thourally enjoyed that one bite. My partner ordered a bacon and avo burger. The burger patty was huge and I was lucky enough to get the second half when he was full ;) The patty was extremely flavourful and everything worked so well together. Delicious!<br/><br/>I would give Whisk a higher rating, but I still need to go back and try everything else on the menu, and I can't wait!!
Martie Vosloo
This place is worth recommending. Awesome place with a great menu and even better atmosphere. This place is ideal for the whole family, with a relaxing bar, including a variety of craft beers and a kids area separate from the bar area. Who want anything more?
Arno Hattingh
Spent one Wednesday afternoon while visiting from Paarl. We arrived for lunch before midday and ended up being completely satisfied with the starters. Big portions and well worth the money. The place has such an amazing energy througout that we ended up cancelling dinner plans and invited more friends over for wine. Stayed until about 10pm. My impression in short; the staff are great, the ambience is amazing, the wine is a bit overpriced (but it is a wine bar, and it isn't Cape Town) and the food is the best value for money in the entire Gauteng!

Whisk Wine Bar very successfully combines a daytime tea garden (with delicious drinks) with nighttime kuierplek/ waterhole.<br/>At lunchtime during weekdays the garden is a haven of tranquility.<br/>On Tuesday the manager was exceptionally friendly. She checked and assisted and was competent and kind. Sandra, the waitress did her job well.<br/>The food was good in a fresh, rustic way. I had home made fish cakes with hollandaise sauce and salad. A generous portion. The fish cakes were made entirely of finely flaked fish. The crust was thin, golden brown and crisp. I would not smother these fish cakes in hollandaise. Rather serve it on the side.<br/>The salad was fresh and delicious, drizzled with mayo. (They grow most of their salad and veg) My fish cakes were served on a bed of fresh, cooked spinach out of the garden. <br/>The English Garden cocktail is wonderful and they're not stingy with the gin! Elderflower cordial, gin & gingerale, garnished with cucumber strips. Lovely. My mouth water at the memory.<br/>The 3.7/5 rating is in my opinion accurate. To go to the next level, the place needs to be a little more polished.<br/><br/>Rustig buite. Voëltjies sing in die bome, daar is hoenders en 'n dam met eende. Klimraam vir kinders. Naby Plantland kwekery vir 'n uitstappie.

What a great place! Great service, food was amazing! The pizzas are to die for! Cocktails are a bit strong, need some refinement. Great vibe. Will definitely be doing drinks and dinner here again.
Leandie Du Randt
Lovely atmosphere and pizza and nachos are good! The vibe accommodates both families outside with playground and open area while accommodating the party animals at the bar inside away from everyone else! Awesome birthday Saturday afternoon vibeâœŒđŸ»ïž
Kyle
Good atmosphere and decent service. Went for the selection of craft beers and wasn't disappointed. However the chilli poppers were horrible. The batter was flakey and hardly covered the jalapeño, and 2 of my poppers didn't even have cheese inside, absolute sin for a jalapeño popper. Would head back for the beers...
Wimpie Pieterse
We heard alot about Whisk. When we finally had lunch and drinks there, I guess the hype was unfortunately just... Hype. The pizzas are far above average. A great cocktail selection and large variety of craft beers almost won us over. Sadly, the lack of ambiance and being overrun by mobs of 4 yearolds just isn't our scene. The service was very very good.
Leandie Swanepoel
Absolutely loving this place! Love the vibe, and their food is amazing. Went for cocktails and pizza with a friend for the first time. Their waiters are really friendly, and service is excellent. We ordered Blonde Rose cocktails and a chicken little pizza. I will definetly visit Whisk again, there is simply to many craft beers and other mains to try.
Cara&Terence
A happy Sunday breakfast spot. Open and family friendly, great for a weekend meet with friends. The venue has a very natural "farmyard" feel with cute couches and bulky tables. The menu is hearty with a variety of feel good food. Reasonably priced as well.
Frans Pretorius
Whisk: cool vibes and funky decor. Great outside seating or lounge inside. Excellent craft beer selection and amazing wines.<br/><br/>Die diens was vriendelik en vinnig...die kos lekker en goed geprys

Pizza was lovely as well as the starts. Love the layout and vibe is cool and chilled. The chicken strips were as if they were hand made, cooked to perfection.
Oswald Kuyler
Very nice vibe and awesome decorations... Wide variety of whiskeys, beer etc. I would say a great place to have some drinks, BUT anything more will do yourself an injustice ... The food quality (chicken livers) was crappy to say the least...raw!!! The service from the waiters - 3/10... Slow... Slow... Slooooooow!
Michelle De Klerk
We went there this evening for a family dinner before everyone splits up for Christmas. It was probably the worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. By the time I arrived everyone else had already ordered drinks and received it, so I ordered a cold drink. Only 25min later it showed up. Then our table of 9 went on to order our mains, and we also order another cold drink. The cold drink showed up 20min later. With the service being so incredibly slow ,and no waiter in sight to ask what is going on with the drinks always taking so long, I was quite pleasantly surprised when the food arrived after only 25min. However, I got excited too soon. Only some of the food was brought out, and by the time most of us finished eating the rest of table's food started to arrive one by one. There was no communication about what was going on AT ALL. After that my plate was cleared with food still on it, never to be seen again, while everyone else were lucky enough to have been offered take-away boxes. Some of us ordered coffee's. Once again a good 20min later this arrived. I was disgusted to see the waiter serve a cappuccino by pushing the cup down on the saucer, by holding it with his thumbs on the rim (that you drink from -on both sides-) with his fingers touching the coffee and spilling all over the saucer. <br/>These waiters are not trained one bit, there is no manager in sight, and even though the food wasn't bad, the whole experience was spoiled. Will never recommend, nor return ever again! Horrible!

It was my first visit to Whisk Wine Bar this afternoon. My husband and I were looking for something small to snack on before our large Christmas dinner later on. My husband wanted a toasted sandwich. I specifically looked at their menu to see if toasted sandwiches was on the menu - it was! Thumbs up for that! <br/>I was pleasantly surprised with the vibe of Whisk. It is a perfect combination of casual and something else. Café-style seating with a lovely large pallet-style bar as a backdrop and beerfest benches & tables for the more informal guests specifically with kids. There is a kids play area and a dam with some ducks and chickens roaming the area - smaller kids are definitely entertained. <br/>There was ample shade for this hot day. <br/>The hostess greeted us with a smile and showed us to a table. She even came to check if we have been helped 15 minutes after we took our seats. <br/>The waiter service was also friendly. We did not wait long for our drinks and food. Out empty glasses and plates were cleared very quickly. <br/>We ordered a chicken mayo toasted sandwich (with chips / salad), chicken livers starter and cheese croquettes. The prices are really reasonable. We would not even finish the food - the portions are big! <br/>We paid with the Zapper app - how quick and easy!<br/>Overall it was a great experience - friendly & efficient staff, good food & great value!<br/>I'm looking forward to going back there soon!

Had a nice Sunday lunch with the kids. Great play area for the kids with a huge sandpit and alot of jungle gyms and a jumping castle. Food was good and well priced. Service was good. Relaxed atmosphere. Great for families

Cosy stop for a few drinks. To end off our night we decided to give this restaurant a try. It was not very busy for a Saturday night, but there were a few people chilling outside, smoking hubly and having drinks and laughing. Creating a very cheerful atmosphere. <br/><br/>We sat inside on the couches, we were amazed by the variety of items used for decor. Everywhere you look, there will be something interesting that catches your eye. I really enjoy places like this and admire all the effort that goes into creating such a unique place.<br/><br/>We ordered drinks and shared the samosa starter. The samosas were very bland and tasteless which I did not care for. The service was average, not outstandingly good, but not bad.<br/><br/>Overall we enjoyed having a few drinks at this restaurant and I would say it is worth checking out if you are looking for something new. I will not specifically return to this restaurant, maybe if I am in the area I will consider having a drink there.

Not a bad location, overall pleasant place with potential. Service is shocking tho. Waiting 15minutes for drinks. Waiters need serious training.

Whisk is not a very formal place to dine but it is fairly family friendly and also the food was really good. <br/><br/>It has awesome decor! Very contemporary with some splashes of vintage. <br/><br/>While we were eating, a family of ducks walked in which I personally thought was cute. They were not served alcohol though. 😉😁<br/><br/>Whisk has a HUGE selection of craft beer which is a plus for beer lovers.

Wen't there for a special occasion. We booked a week ago, when we pitched up- they didn't even have a table ready for us. We couldn't have a nice beer tasting in the garden. We had to sit in almost in the parking lot. That's not the worst. We ordered a meat platter and a veggie platter. We received hotdogs and mini burgers and a plate of raw veggies. This place is a joke. When I approached the manager, he threw a tantrum and told me how wrong I am for expecting anything better than what I received. The hotdog, by the way, were totally inedible. We then received our 4 beers to taste, we asked our waitress to please explain the beers to us- she had no clue what we were drinking. In fact, I don't think anyone had a clue what we were drinking. They eventually tried to make peace by giving us each a free shooter, which we actually appreciated, and that is where they scored the 1 mark. I will obviously never go back and will not ever recommend this bar.

Been here twice today: lunch and dinner. For lunch I had two starters: Chicken strips with sweet chili and the classic chicken livers. The livers were fantastic but the chicken strips, although still good, could do with a bit more salt. Tonight I had a chicken burger -was not impressed. However, the vibe of this place is really good and relaxed. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. All in all a good experience, not really expensive. The bill for us three for dinner amounted to just over R300! Definitely the place to go to for a nice casual dine.

Great Pizzas and Leaky Tap Golden Ale, just launched and on tap from 26th October. Doesn't get tastier than this. Awesome fresh ingredients layered on a thin golden crusted crusted base. Washed down with beautiful colored golden ale with citrus after tones

Heard they had great pizza, so thats what I had and it was lovely. Thought a wine bar would have more wines on their list to choose from, but the few choices were good at least. They have a lovely unique shooter which we enjoued with our birthday friend. All and all, a pleasant experience

Quaint place with good ambiance. Generous portions resulted in enjoyment of the cuisine later in the day. But the best part, ducks, chickens, doves and pigeons...

The owners care, work the bar, kitchen and really put their energy into an experience. Food is a great part of that and it's fresh and agile. It's probably the best little posh gem in Centurion. A must see.

I really enjoy going to Whisk. The atmosphere and decor is quirky and inviting. The food's great and I like the fact that it's so smoker friendly. A charming, quaint experience.

Divine hamburgers & pizza and a world of choice on craft beer! Big playground for the youngsters as well.

We had a lovely experience sitting back and basking in the sun on a Sunday afternoon. The ambience was laid back and relaxed and I especially enjoyed being able to see the pond with the ducks. Their food was lovely, even allowing us to do a half and half pizza. The pizza had an authentic, crisp dough(no doubt facilitated by their built in clay oven), and their beer and wine selection make their name as a food and wine bar absolutely fitting. I will definitely be adding this to my arsenal of spots in the Tshwane area to visit

Uterly disappointed with the service of whisk! The plase was quite but only one waiter for 7 tables! Food was lovely but cold! Drink took to long!

Many friends have recommended Whisk to me, so I was glad I could have Breakfast there on Saturday morning. The restaurant has quite a lovely atmosphere & and the decor is very artistic. Our breakfast wasn't phenomenal -  had a Spinach Pita and the others had Egg Benedict / a Standard Breakfast - But it was very good nonetheless. I would definitely visit again & recommend it to friends.

Perfect for a lazy Sunday lunch & cocktails. The Man size burger had some interesting flavours. The Pepperoni & blue cheese pizza was seriously good, loved the thin crispy base. The menu on a whole was a little disappointing, nothing interesting to try. Thumbs up on the diverse venue tho, it's great for a family lunch with the kids (awesome play area) or a few drinks with friends at the bar (a stunning indoor feature). The efficient service rounded off our Whisk experience and we shall definitely be back.

I feel that this restaurant have the biggest potential, but so underrated at the moment. The look and feel is great, love it. The menu needs some other lighter options. Pizzas with parma ham and rocket, not just the usual suspects? You say Tapas bar, but yet you don't serve any tapas? Confusing. Watch this space, this would become the new hangout for craft beer AND craft food . .
