Review Sushi Suki - Cape Town

I enjoyed the chicken chow mean. Got a good portion and it was well presented at point of delivery. The fortune cookie was a definite sweeter.

Very good. Went for the all you can eat sushi at R149 and really enjoyed it. My eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach so i had to pay wastage on 2 pieces of sushi but it was worth it. Dragon rolls are awesome and loved the tempura prawns. Its awesome they have a full menu with their warm food options available for the special. I will definitely return here as the staff are awesome as well, can tell they dont speak much english but they are friendly and even helped us choose which sushi to order.

The best Sushi!! :D It's always fresh, great portions, its definitely value for money. However I feel like the owners are very much misunderstood because of the language barrier. I wont go anywhere else for sushi :) I've always gone to suki since they were in burgundy!

Very clean store. Clean aand good quality food. For sure a place to get your lockdown Sushi. The prices are very competitive, especially if you base your choice on quality of food. Good service too. All in all, ill return for sure. Thanks guys.

Sushi love combo was great value for money. Chicken chow mein portion is pretty small for the price.

Ordered from MRD, and am really happy with the food, packaging could be a little bit better, but overall very happy!

Literally the best sushi this side of town....great balanced portions with good fresh ingredients. Never really enjoyed anything else on the menu after several attempts. But definately going back for the sushi.

I ordered sushi takeaway. The sushi was well balanced with rice and salmon. The sushi was very well presented and decent sized portions as you would expect it. The sushi is well priced.
I would recommend Sushi Suki any day.

Picture: Love Combo (30 pc) R159 and Bamboo Rolls (4pc) R55

For the 9th time they have gotten my order wrong! They purposely make a batch of spring rolls and do not mark it but charge you for different types.

Today I ordered chicken spring rolls and two portions of prawn and cheese! I GOT ONLY CHICKEN AND VEG! Again!!!! Utterly useless service.

And the utter do not give a f attitude
Unfriendly and dismissive staff.

On good days the sushi is really good and fresh, but I have been there a few times when there is too much rice on the sushi and a bit dry. Prices are reasonable though and service relatively fast.

Got home from this establishment and opened my box to find barely any food in my box just a few pieces of pork(I lie, it was just pork fat) . I ordered the crispy pork which was dry, flavourless, hard and was wondering if I was eating meat or just batter.I have ordered crispy pork from many other restaurants and it has never looked like this before. Highly disappointed in the food I have ordered.

Chow mein had hardly any chicken or veg just noodles. Sweet and sour pork just batter and off tasting sauce. First and last time I will be eating at this venue

I wish I could give a lower rating. We went for the all you can eat, and we were definitely not impressed. Not only was the sushi massive pieces filled with rice, which was not the same as when we took takeaways, we ordered 2 prawn chrispy California rolls and they brought us one prawn and one tuna. When we told the waitress she said "no, she double checked and that is what we ordered, and that she won't take it back", to an extent where I wanted to walk out of the restaurant. This type of service is unacceptable and she never double checked our order when we made it in the first place, and I dont eat Tuna at all. My boyfriend had to finish mine so we don't have to pay extra which meant that was all he had and couldn't even enjoy the "special". No wonder their restaurant is almost always empty. I will not support this place again and would recommend that no one does.

Called in an order for pick up and was informed that it would take 20minutes.

The chicken chow mein was horribly bland and there was about 3 pieces of chicken in the whole dish.

The sweet and sour chicken however had a bit more flavor but was not at all what you would find at a decent Chinese restaurant.

The sushi rice was hard and the Avo almost brown. Thinnest piece of salmon I've ever seen on a sushi piece and the prawns had no taste.

Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

My weekly quick after campus sushi pick up. I absolutely love suki sushi. It's conveniently up the road for me and the sushi is always fresh by the time I collect. I've never had to wait for a collect order and the sushi is up to scratch every single time. They also have great specials and even their regular prices are value for money. They don't skimp on portion sizes and the fish is always good quality and fresh.

Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. The decor of the restaurant isn't much to look at but the sushi makes up for it.

Wish i could rate lower honestly.

Thai Green Curry - Horrible. Tasted like packet sauce.
Oyster Sauce Chicken - Equally as horrific.
Salt and pepper Prawns - Prawns were miniscule, fried to a biltong like state in their shells and the rice was a single solid body that required quite a bit of effort to get a chunk out.

After several regrettable mouthfuls, we abandoned our food in favour of Jumping Jacks Popcorn.

Don't waste your time time or money.

It's one of those ' don't judge a book by its cover ' restaurants. It's a corner sushi restaurant, with bleak interior and minimal effort, but the food is fresh and fantastic. I tried the crispy salmon sushi, salmon roses, and the crispy chicken. They all were very tasty and freshly made and I would recommend it to anyone in the area that is looking for their go-to local Chinese.

Lunch time stop on the spur of the moment because the specials posted on the window looked good. The place had also been recommended by friends.
Ordered take out - didn't wait long at all.

Sushi Suki has the best and freshest sushi. Their menu has a lot more to offer for those who prefer anything else besides sushi. Takeaways are always ready no waiting when you call order in. Sit down and eat the all you can eat menu and you can't go wrong. Value for money. Nice and friendly vibe. Have yet to find anyone else that can compare with their sushi.

I frequently get take-out from Sushi Suki and let me tell you, it's the freshest bang I ever could get for my buck.

A fusion of our Western ideas of authentic Japanese and Chinese cuisine; it's the perfect quick date night pick up and impress meal with options galore.

Truly worth a visit, although don't expect too much from my lost in translation friends behind the counter. Their food might be up to scratch but the fine dining element of the restaurant itself is yet to reach the 21st century.

Try the super fresh sashimi, crispy sushi, yellow Thai dishes, spring rolls or the Chinese inspired soups. Yum!

Well priced especially the fried sushi! Great night out for a quick bite if you live in the area. I like the lunchtime special really great and worth it!

I'll be honest and say when you walk in the first thing that you wanna do is change the interior
The furniture is old and tatty and nothing matches.
However I go for the sushi and that, is honestly better than places like beluga that have great decor but average food.
I normally go for a takeaway rather than all you can eat and am a little addicted to their yuppie rolls and cape town rolls
Kirsti
They offer awesome lunch specials at great prices. The portions were generous and there was enough for two meals.

We can't wait to give their all you can eat sushi a try next.

I had the pleasure of trying out the all you can eat sushi....the sushi is fresh and devine. The menu also includes hot meals as well which gives a wide variety.

I went a while ago for sushi and wasn't that impressed by it, wasn't horrible but wasn't fantastic either. I recently got takeaway from them, the lady that helped me was quite rude. I feel the price for the portion you receive isn't worth it. But the taste wasn't bad, again not horrible but not fantastic.

Average... the fried sushi is pretty good, but the rice is never quite right and the array of strange china town supplies on display for sale makes the vibe a bit odd... I'd have to be honest and say that it's not a place I would visit again.

This is a very well situated restaurant in Burgundy Estate, The sushi is very well priced fresh and completely up to standard, they also offer great meal deals and asian cuisine.
This is a must try restaurant for sushi lovers.

This great hidden gem has become one of my favourites.

I love to get their lunch specials over and almost always opt for the Chow Mein with spring rolls and add an 8 piece sushi as a snack for later. Their portions are big and the sushi is get in my belly amazing! They also offer a buffet option which is on my list of things to try
