Review Sotano - Cape Town

Thea Beckman
Forget salted peanuts, this Spanish themed restaurant has come up with a much better idea for bar snacks and the inspiration comes from Basque cuisine from San Sebastian, northern Spain. We went to experience Sotano's brand new #pintxos offering which we washed down with the beautiful wines on their interesting wine list. The atmosphere is vibrant and convivial and we loved the assortment of pintxos (little bites of flavorful ingredients).

If you're looking for stunning decor, mouth-wateringly tasty food and excellent table service, this is definitely a place I'd recommend time and time again. From sushi, tapas and mains, there is something for everyone. Meals are a little on the pricier side, but it is totally worth the splurge. If you're in the area, be sure to visit! 👍

Love little place, great service very kind and welcoming... Such a vibe. We went on a Thursday which was also 1st Thursdays in cape Town and it was fun. The way the food is presented is really unique something different. Food was amazing great flavors for both dishes, I had a lamb burger and my friend the espetada. IL post picture of our food so you can see how unique its prepared, they do ask you how you want cooked medium well done that type thing :) give it a go

Would have been a perfect 5 star if mayo wasn't on Sushi. Pink Tonic and Gin was refreshing and now my favorite.

We just had the lamb burger and it is fantastic. There was a live band and the ambiance is warm. The waiters are well trained and attentive. Well done guys!!

Popped in for a drink on 1st Thursday, loved the layout and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Drinks are abit expensive but I suppose average prices for CBD.

Excellent restaurant. Featured on the "entertainer app". They have extremely good service and the waiters are all friendly too. They also have live music. Really great chilled atmosphere yet slightly upper class. Love this place

Quaint restaurant in the CBD. Went during the afternoon after the usual lunch time buzz had died down and really enjoyed myself. Their portions are quite large. Try the paella you won't regret it.
