Roosterkoek - Cape Town - Photo album

I've had roosterkoek at this lekker padstal on the West Coast Road a few times, but this was the first time with my family. Hubby and son devoured theirs in no time! Egg, bacon & cheese and the other was egg, biltong and cheese, a bit of a South African Twist with the addition of biltong. My chicke
Great place to stop on the R27. Tried the curry mince Roosterkoek and it was delicious. Also sells Biltong, Jam, rusks etc. Watch out for the funny signage.
The food and atmosphere was great but they did not have lactose free milk or substitues for coffee or hot chocolate drinks.
A beautiful stop on the way to Langebaan, the food was amazing and the service was lovely. We ordered the jam and cheese roosterkoek and it was phenomenal. Great to share for a quick bite between two, with very good cappuccino’s. Will definitely be stopping here again.
Great midway stop up the west coast , delicous fresh roosterkoek , service was fantastic and a nice fun and quirkly atmosphere.
Suport locally people!! If we dont then there wil be nothing left!!!! Gr8 food gr8 service
This is such a wonderful gem along the road and seems well-known to those in the know. The roosterkoek is the signature offering, but there's also lots of food and drink on offer. But what gets this place the extra star is definitely the witty signs posted all over - you can't help but smile. Of
A great stop along the road to get the best roosterkoek with many different toppings to choose from. Also coffee and many other refreshments available. Also an awesome Sunday drive for the whole family is easy to do since it is not too far from Cape Town and you will have quite a lot to do and see a
Such friendly people. Love them to bits and my order was made just as I want it. Thank you kindly for your heartfelt love and help Stay blessed Ru
We save our hunger and roosterkoek craving until we can get to Route 27. Fresh and warm and simple and wholesome and delicious, with an abundance of filling; I like grated cheese to share with the mossies, bless them. The little shop always has a something to take home, too. Today it was a frock the
What a lekker place. The best roosterkoek. The friendliest staff. Did a little shop and chatted with the owner/manager. When we got in the car he chased after us to offer our daughter a complimentary ice cream for the road. Will be back every time we pass for sure!
This place is sooo worth going to. The ladies who helped us were extremely friendly. The food was the best on the road, and the time we arrived, the food was still fresh, and getting served with a smile. Well done, you deserve only to grow as you know about customer service.
It seems more a quick dropin farm-stall. Plenty of parking, the padstall offers quick sit down or takeaway meals and a good variety of jams, rusks, sauces and olive oils for sale. Outside there’s bigger seating area for group gatherings and to watch sports events. An interesting array of small succu
Food on the move. Perfect. This is a Boerie…hot spicy and meaty boerwors in a toasted roll. Bikers food. 3 quid. Bargain.
It's the perfect pad stall to take a break, enjoy some breath taking biltong and some mouth watering traditional roosterkoek with the best most tasty fillings!!! There is cute litte gift shop with a some great hand crafted gifts. I recommend 👌
One of the best roosterkoek that I've had. The bacon, egg and cheese one was so tasty and filling, even though the cheese was not properly melted yet. The hot chocolate could've been better, but the roosterkoek made up for it tenfold
What amazing people. They made us feel right at home. Nothing nicer is a hot cuppa moer coffee and roosterkoek. Love the quirky signs all over the place. Huge variety of Roosterkoek to try. Who would have guessed this was a 300 year old recipe. Will be back.
Such a cute little place. You have to stop here if you're on the West Coast Road. Gifts at great prices. Roosterkoek is top notch.
Friendly, local and such a treat for all not acquainted with some well known SA stapels like 'Roosterkoek', Biltong & Droëwors. Latter two options not Vegetarian /Vegan friendly but will entice all Banting supporters. So, turn the wheel, make a stop and try it for yourself. All options very reasonab
