Very cosy authentic-feel spot. Pizzas very very good, wood fired thin base, perfect topping ratio. Good wine selection. Great value. Could add a bit more ambience eg lighting/candles, music etc.
The restaurant just works. Great service, great food and it is warm inside; perfect for Winter. Pasta is homemade and the beer is cold. Don't be shy, just give them a try.

A family-owned institution, now into its third generation, Pizzeria has been operating from the same location on Main Road since the 1950s.
While the decor is a little tired, the food is fulsome with a real sweet homemade taste. The pizza wasn't great (we prefer thin crust) but the lasagne was delicious, a sure winner, and the bolognese with homemade tagliatele, too, hit the spot.

Started with Italian salad which was superb. Garlic pizza disappointing. But the excellent lasagne more than made up for it. Others at the table raved about there veal & fish main courses. Finished off with good coffee & Italian biscuits. Service was very good. Will definitely return.
Lovely authentic Italian. Don't expect a polished setting, but be prepared to want to eat a lot. Oh, and there is no rush here, as it should be when one is having a good meal.
