Review Pakwaan - Cape Town

My girlfriend and I have been looking for a place to enjoy high quality indian food for some time and it is with great joy that we found Pakwaan. Our waitress was very kind and knowledgeable about the food and this provided more of an experience eating there. Their Lamb curries are fantastic and their paneer and vada are delicious as well. The decor is also quite charming and they have created a lovely atmosphere at Pakwaan. This is definitely a place I would go to again and again. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Absolutely amazing food. Great quality for food. Such a friendly hostess and owner. Love the personal touch she brings to the engagement with clients, and the unique spice combination that comes with the bill is fantastic and so authentically Indian! Will definitely be back very soon!

A little gem here in bugandy estate. The host is extremely nice and helpful, the food is very, very good and it's a nice place, that cannot get too busy because it's not a huge venue. It's nice and simple and if you want to go to a place where you can hear the conversation instead of yelling at your friends, go to PAKWAAN. Happy tummy, happy ears, happy times. Would recommend their butter chicken with Naan.

The Biryani was great. Filled with flavors and spice. I enjoyed the food and the staff was nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Authentic, delicious Indian food in an unsuspecting plaza. Blown away with the flavours of food. Loved the Achari Chicken, lamb Rogan josh and aloo matar (potatoes and green peas). Finished off with delicious gulap jaman (similar to koeksisters). Will definitely be one we come back to very soon!

I just had the best hari chutney of my life! Oh my poppadoms, we love their food! This restaurant is a hidden gem, the Dhall Makni will knock your socks off in the best way possible, absolute PERFECTION ❣️ Equally sensational is the Veg Haldi. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for more. Compliments to the chef (Sanjeev Kapoor couldn't have made better than this) 😍 and staff - well done, this is what good wholesome food tastes like. Support Small Business - keep the taste alive 🥘🥗 Nothing beats a tasty curry - what are you waiting for? Don't feel like dining in, well how bout Netflix, Curry and Chill? 😏

Fresh ingredients, really nice spicy flavors, perfect warm hearty dishes for when you're in the mood for some good comfort food. The owner is genuinely kind and truly cares about her customers. Suggestion, if you want takeaways, place your order over the phone with them and go collect yourself. Mr D Food and Uber Eats over inflate their prices by R40 - R60, that's on top of the R20 "Delivery Fee" the app charges you, plus you still have to tip the delivery guy

Most definitely highly recommended! Just enjoyed an amazing and flavour packed Dal Makhani with Naan - and they were happy to make the dish vegan. Truly a hidden local gem that will certainly see me again. Thank you for a fantastic meal.
