Review Mugg & Bean - Cape Town

M Wilson
I recently celebrated a friend's birthday here, as it's our usual go-to place, and it exceeded all expectations. We were seated outside, enjoying a breathtaking view while soaking in the great vibes. The food was exceptional, and the Bottomless drink special was an absolute hit. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, on top of every detail, making the entire experience memorable. This place truly added an extra special touch to my friend's birthday celebration.

Most delicious food and service, stunning views and atmosphere. What more could I ask for? Thanks for the great service during a very busy time and the waiting period was so short!

Ordered breakfast about a dozen times from this branch. Always fresh, warm and delicious. The hash browns and sausage are sometimes under cooked and oily. Otherwise overall it's a delicious breakfast. Nice venue and views. Service is good but a little slow. Atmosphere is nice but tourists can be rude and birds often pick your food outdoors on the balcony area.

Best!! Picturesque views of the harbour! Been going here for years and years! Get the same waiter each time, very dignified gentleman, professional service and always goes the extra mile because he remembers my family’s favourites. They always update the menu, but nothing beats their OG Lemon Meringue 🍋 🍰 The usually have electricity plug points for you to plug in 🔌 your laptop, camera or phone charging cables. Just note that you would probably need a South African 3 prong plug or two point power adapter. Download the app, because you build up points and receive benefits like Birthday rewards! 🎈

Great service - very attentive. Carrot cake is delicious! Nice place by the waterfront

Whenever i travel to South Africa, this is the chain of restaurants that i will visit. i always order that egg benedict with smoked salmon, apple pay and coffee. Mouthwatering foods👌🏻👌🏻

Top notch food. Everyone was happy with the dishes they ordered from omelettes, to sandwiches, to muffins, to milkshakes. I had the banana muffin which was fresh and moist, I liked that it came with butter which I could melt on the muffin to get a nice salty-sweet combo. The coffee and chocolate milkshakes I tried were both delicious and all the rest of the meals in our party looked great. Service was good and our server was friendly.

Visited after lunch some sweet treats. My wife ordered the lemon meringue shake, I tasted some and it was so good. Sadly alot of things were sold out (scones, carrot cake, apple crumble) but I suppose late on a Sunday afternoon it's expected. What we did order was the kids flap jacks, red velvet cheesecake and lemon meringue. The flap jack was light and fluffy, my daughter loved it. The meringue was fresh and so zesty. The cheesecake was so smooth and fresh, honestly speaking one of the best Mugg & Bean cake experiences I have ever had.

The Mug & Bean @ the V&A. Excellent service (under pressure).Excellent food - great variety. Stunning views. The atmosphere is lovely. Thank you. Going there is time & money worth spending. Looking forward to next visit. Thank you!

What a great venue for a breakfast with overseas visitors with the V&A harbor and the magnificent Table Mountain in the background. Our visiting friends loved it. The muffins as a take home are the BEST in Cape Town.

I had the worst experience there today. I went there for breakfast with some friends before work. Got there at 12h00. Waited for 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then waited another 25 minutes to get our drinks. Our food9 came almost an hour later at 13h15, cold and missing some things I had ordered. The toast was cold because it had clearly been sitting there for a while. I asked for butter to make this cold bread better bit it was hard and solid so couldn't spread it on the bread. Did not enjoy it at all. My friend had to ask them to put his food in the microwave for a bit.
Will never go there again

Mugg and bean is a perfect end to a hectic day at the waterfront
Busy bustling
The drinks strawberry milk shake is pretty good hazelnut ice tea is strong coffee flavour not what you get back home in India
The buttermilk chicken is pretty good especially the accompanying sauce
The buffalo chicken wings are decently spicy and the sauce is good
The chicken fried in kids platter is good, served with a decent amount of fries
The nachitos with cheese was flat
The chicken noodle platter is really good ,pots of veggies and the noodles are really soft
The waiter who served is was pretty courteous, tad rude at the end when the tip wasn't according to what he expected

Nothing to right home about.

Overpriced in my opinion.

My avacado was HARD!!!

If the prices were adjusted it would have made more sense.

Long wait for one's food as well.

Don't think I'll be return anytime soon.

Mugg & Bean is becoming unnecessarily expensive. And I don’t mind paying a lot of money if I can see where my money is going. I had the white hot chocolate and it was so sweet I had to ask the waiter to add water/milk to it. The muffins are ready made, but it took so long for us to get them. I don’t think I’ll come back to Mugg & Bean. Not when there are so many cheaper and better artisanal coffee spots in Cape Town. ✌🏿
(This is, of course, excluding situations where I’m in a remote place and that’s just about the only decent cuppa I can get 😹)

I enjoyed the location, it has a view of the harbour and Table Mountain with the options of indoor and outdoor seating. This Mugg & Bean stays true to the franchise with the generic chain decor. I highly rate their confectionary options as they have a wide variety of cakes and muffins, which from my experiences have always been fresh and generous in serving size. Great place for coffee and cake, recommend this for tourists and locals. During this particular visit I had the Upside-Down Marshmallow that was extremely decadent and satisfactory for the sweet tooth. To eat I had their BBQ Burger, I do not recommend M&B for their burgers, it lacked that flame-grilled flavour and would rather visit a proper burger joint for this. It was not great but it was not bad.

So last night my Dad decided to treat his family to coffee since we treated him to lunch.
Mugg&Bean is kind of always our go to, however I feel that their cake is really not the same anymore. It always used to be fresh and moist, that’s definitely changed in my opinion.
Their selection of drinks is always really nice and a good variety. There’s something to satisfy most cravings. Their coffee is pretty average in my opinion though.

A good ambiance and always blessed with friendly waitrons.

I’d go back but definitely not for the cake.
Amy Wardle
Coffees were delicious and the outside seating area is great. The smashed Avo and egg toast was lacking Avo as they thinly spread it onto the one slice of rye and put the perfectly cooked eggs on the other. I would’ve preferred there being Avo on both slices or rather give one slice of toast with more Avo as the egg and Avo combo is delicious. You don’t really want to have to carefully move your eggs from one slice to the next, risking a break of yolk. Other than that, the experience was pleasant

I was super disappointed with the experience as a whole. I was unhappy with everything from the service, to the food itself.

Initially, the waiting staff were nice and attentive, but after a while it was a struggle to even attract anyone’s attention. I had a chai latte to drink which I found to be overwhelmingly sweet. The toastie was alright but my fries weren’t great. At. All. Would have been nice if they had remembered that I didn’t want white bread either.

My friend and I, actually came for some cake so even though we ended up getting some food, naturally, we took some cake to go and wow, what a soggy mess that chocolate cake was!

In an age were foodies prevail, and there’s so many new and exciting restaurants popping up everywhere, I feel that chain stores such as these need to bring their A-game all the time; I didn’t think Mugg&Bean brought it!
Tsepang & Thapelo
Honestly. It’s Mugg and Bean . We all know it and we can’t hate it . Nothing special because you know the food will be average if not just above average.
Matshepo Motlanthe
Was not impressed with the service. The staff were very reluctant to serve us. When they eventually did...things just started going downhill from there.
Had to continuously ask for items like the cutlery, serviettes, sauces...the simple things that should just come before the food arrives. The restaurant wasn't busy, so the lack of interest was inexcusable.
Aritro Acharya
Excellent location.
Prompt and polite service.
Food was really good and portion was big. We were two people ordered four appetisers and could not finish it all. The taste as also good. Loved the chicken liver curry.
Mish-al Ebrahim
This was a very quick visit. The service was great. I wasn’t too pleased with my order, but to be honest, I was being adventurous. I ordered the turmeric gingerade. It wasn’t the worst thing i’ve had, but the turmeric added a bitter after taste. I suppose it isn’t for everyone.
Yajna Gold
I have really enjoyed the breakfasts however he wrap and milkshake was disappointing but it really depends on what you order! The vibe, view and atmosphere it still worth a turn or meet a friend for a quick coffee after shopping till you're dropping. Go for a slice of cake ;)

The incredible view of the mountain and the harbour is really the only thing this place has going for it. Popped in for dinner with friends on the weekend and found the food to be average at best. Was disappointed with the bland hot chocolate and the oily chips. The sandwiches we ordered were quite plain, nothing special. I do think that M&B is arguably one of the more affordable restaurant dining options at the V&A. Service was terribly slow but the servers themselves are actually very friendly.
Sphamandla Shilubana
The food is no different to any Mugg & Bean I've been to, and the service is what you would expect. My friends and I came here twice. There are some pros and cons. Let's start with the good. Situated by the V&A harbour, one is treated to spectacular views of yachts and the iconic Table Mountain ⛰. The pricing is reasonable considering that you're at the V&A where everything is expensive. The decor is beautiful, I almost forgot that I was at Mugg & Bean. They also have friendly warm staff. The cons. My friends and I decided to sit outside where we can take in the atmosphere of Cape Town. Besides, it was a sunny day so sitting inside didn't make sense. One annoying thing about sitting outside, is having to listen to the high frequency bell that's used to chase the birds away, and the occasional sound of the horn made by the larger boats. Its a bit noisy, however some people didn't seem to mind. The food took a bit of time to arrive, and the bottomless hot chocolate was bland. I would still return because of the spectacular views and generous portions. I give it a 3.0 out of 5

Went for coffee Landed up having a peanut butter type of shake and have no regrets It was good The muffin I had was fresh Choc chip flavour Service was excellent

Lovely mountain and harbour views, great food and good service! We will definitely be coming back soon again! Only criticism is that there was no music playing.

Mugg & Bean has of late been a reliable disappointment. You know it’s going to be meh plus a bit if you lucky but at least it’s consistent.Decided to stop for a bottomless hot chocolate and to share a triple chocolate muffin. They didn’t have that muffin so I opted for the lemon poppyseed and Candice Nancy (Ryan) Rafael went for the flapjacks. Asked for cream but they were also out of that and this was mid morning. Service was okay at best but the whole place seems to place such emphasis on quantity that sometimes the quality seems to fall a bit to the way side. I do like their new plates, they have a nice texture.

Not the best - service is non existent .
1. I ordered a Monte Cristo salad which tasted ok but had more lettuce than anything . I tried getting my waitress's attention to ask for some salad dressing , she saw me & my boyfriend waving and blatantly ignored us, I asked another waitress on the floor who was actually one of the floor managers she told me that it was on its way , however went back to having a conversation with other staff on the floor who were all doing nothing . Finally I decided to ask another Waitor who's was kind enough to get it out of the cupboard were the conversation was happening - 25 minutes later

2. My boyfriends mug for the bottomless coffee still had a lipstick stain from a previous customer on it :/

3. When my boyfriend Dean Matthysend got up to pour some more coffee - one of the waiters just took his chair and moved it to another table - although it was clearly obviously that he was sitting there as his food was still on the table

4. Our waitress walked pass our finished plates 4 times & ignore it - even though the table was full .

All of this would be understandable if the restaurant was busy ,but it wasn't and most of the staff are just standing around having conversations with each other & ignoring the customers .

Never, never, never, again will I ever set foot in this place. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. You are a bunch of self centered people.
The beggar at the street comer has more mannerism than you people. "Good luck with that"
Stacy Hart
Was put off most Mugg and Bean's after a string of bad experiences , however this branch restored my faith in the franchise . They always have such hearty portions as well as variety for those with dietary requirements. On a side note, our poor waiter had lost his voice and had to write down things like 'hello' and 'i'll be back' , very sweet.
Rachael Laura Wahl
Poor service and poor food quality. Ordered a milo which arrived half full. The chicken in my chicken and mushroom pie we so tough and chewy. My salad consist of only lettuce and carrot shavings. Then I ordered a glass of water to wash the horrible pie and down and it took so long to arrive that I ended up paying the bill at the till point and while I was doing so, my water arrived and was put on the table at the till point.

The quality of one's experience here is very dependent on the 'time of day'. Visited recently for breakfast and had the South African Farm offering. A sizable helping of well prepared food. Good service too. During lunch, and especially over weekends, the restaurant however becomes extremely busy and service unfortunately then often suffers.

I am a frequent visitor but today the service was terrible. Our waiter spoke to us in a confused manner. I asked for a plain mozzarella toasted sandwich (which I've had there many times) and he seemed baffled and said he'd need to check. My mom ordered a toasted tuna with a side salad. It came with chips instead. She told the waiter and he went to check while she began eating her sandwich. When the waiter returned, he asked her to give back the whole plate so he could take the chips back- while she was eating! He acted like he was doing us a favour by bringing her salad when she refused to give the plate back. Not impressed.
Rori
I was disappointed with the ribs and wings. The taste and texture were a little off but the service was good, the waiter was friendly and the view was great.

I am a lover of the Mugg & Bean franchise and respect the variety of meals. If it were any other branch, the rating would be better, however, the last time I visited this branch, my food was served on a bun that was no longer fresh. When I queried this problem, i was assured that it would be put on a fresher, better bun. When the waiter returned, not only was the bun much smaller, but they had reduced the filling to compensate for the tiny bun. I still had to pay the original price and didn't feel up to querying management again since I was already famished.
Sara
The service at this branch is quite good and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I had the roast vegetable wrap with chips and I was quite disappointed as the wrap itself had way too much cheese in it and the chips were oily. I really enjoyed my cold brewed coffee with condensed milk though - so so yummy!

Typical Mugg &Bean chain food fare. Setvice and food average and uninteresting. Bleh😏 Really not my choice of restauraant and I doubt whether I'll go back again. There are FAR nicer places to have breakfast/lunch.
Amiena Lewis
Place was quite packed so we had to wait to be seated as it was a windy day and the outside seating was closed, which is completely understandable however, once we were given the go ahead, we had to seat ourselves. Waiter took our order and when the food arrived, mine was cold, which didn't allow me to enjoy it thoroughly. Also, my fork was still dirty which put me off even more. What made things even worse, was when the waiters decided to sweep and mop around the table which we were close to. That is not acceptable at all. Have they no idea that in doing that, it's a complete health hazard? Disgusting!

Food: 3.5 / Setting 3.0 / Service 3.5 / Value for Money: 4.0

Pros: A good combination of decent quality, pricing and variety.

Cons: Was quite busy and noisy (mostly from the kitchen. One of the workers kept striking a metal object for some reason throughout the time we were there which was annoying and migraine inducing). Had to wait a few minutes to be seated, but not too long.
Robyn Silverstone
Breakfast took about 45 mins. Order completely wrong. Too many tables and kitchen could not cope with all the orders. First and last time here unfortunately
Jarred Michael Bell
The rating is only this high due to the good service from our waiter. Unfortunately, this M&B is another example of a cafe franchise which sacrificed its attention to quality for geographical reach. Serving a hot breakfast cold and then the manager trying to justify it is poor form.
Tiara Jorissen
Love the new menu mugg n bean has introduced. can't wait to try more of the new additions. Ordered the chicken mac n cheese which was nice but a bit flavorless but the ice coffee was nice and refreshing. Others ordered toasted sandwiches which looked amazing and lovely new presentation plus you can now order sweet potato fries!
Paul Marais
My dining experience today was superb and I'll forgo the old cold chips served up however special mention must be made for the greatest waitron I've come across, Mellisa has the right spunk, attitude, personality and product knowledge. She made us feel like kings and queens. She connected with us and yes I told her I was going to report her to head office because she didn't want me to leave😃 Mellisa our tourists need you to wait on you an asset to Mugg and Bean keep up the good work and I hope your skills rub off.
Sanelisiwe Sani Sibanyoni
It's mostly full & the service is slow. It's really a dreading experience during the weekends because the service is awful. Their pastry products will forever be outraged by everything else, I love it😝

*IT'S A SUPER 'YES' FROM ME*
I had the most pleasant experience at this particular M&B!! The service was incredible and the food was wonderful as well. I ordered the 'Croque Madame' with their low carb, gluten-free bread and it was totally worth the R6 per slice (the slices are not small, as one would maybe assume when substituting for something healthier)!!
And even though I had a minor complaint about my dish, the waitress did not hesitate to call the manager to the table and everything was sorted out. Let's not forget to mention how nicely situated the place is. It's tidy and offers great views from your seating - inside or outside.
NtsanganiSinovuyo
Great coffees and muffins. No problem with their services amazing blueberry muffins and red velvet latte are to die for overall good service and food.
Nel
Had a bad experience here service wise. The food was decent as Mugg and Beans go but our waiter either really hated us (which would make no sense seeing as we were pleasant and smiling) or she was not having a good day and decided to take it out on us. It wasn't a busy day so it was confusing as to why she would not allow us to sit outside. She literally scoffed and then gave us a dirty look and ended up taking us out there. After throwing our menus down she proceeded to disappear for a good 20 mins before I called another waiter to help us and low and behold the dirty looks we got from her... Honestly shocked at the level of hostility I got. Put me off coming back.

Working in the mall has resulted in me trying restaurants I haven't tried in years, one of these is Mugg & Bean. I had the eggs royale for breakfast a couple of days ago. It wasn't as good as I remembered but still very tasty. The have this coffee milkshake thing (can't get to the exact name) that is to die for. Portions are quite large so definitely worth a try.
Melissa Bdd
Good breakfast pancakes and a huge variety of drinks. I ordered a matcha green tea latte and it was good but a bit sweet. My brother ordered a moca frappe and it was really good! Will comeback to try the eggs benedict!
Jonathan Holmes
A classic stop at V&A. The smell of sweet processed carbs and the buzz of tourists and local families, combined with a glorious view of the mountain with the waterfront below, will give you plenty to take in. I'm not a fan of the bitter bottomless coffee perpetually brewing in their big urns. However, in their favor, they will always provide you with pouring cream to make it taste better if you need your fix. The menu is quite diverse and gives some decent low-carb options too, including a creamy avo Benedict on mushrooms and my new discovery, a Shakshuka breakfast skillet (boerewors chunks, spinach, feta in a spicy tomato sauce). Service can be a bit slow if it is a busy day, but if you aren't in a rush it is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee with a view.
Annie Hodes
Mugg & Bean is aways a good bet with its generous portions, super service and this store is no exception with the added advantage of its perfect location at the V&A Waterfront
Adrian Kaplan
What is it about Mugg and Bean and inconsistency? Had breakfast at the waterfront branch recently and i usually order scrambled egg on rye...this branch offered 1 egg and loaded the plate with cherry tomatoes...something very different to the Paddocks branch. Tasty and good service but a rip off for one egg.
Riani Deacon
When visiting this branch you can expect the same quality service and food! Although they were very busy and on the run the food was still very tasteful and service up to standing The bonus of course is the view!
St John Grimbly
Mugg & Bean is another place I like to go for a quick snack - usually a muffin, cake or crepe. Their milkshakes are not great at all... really not up to the standards, especially in the Waterfront. Their muffins are great, especially when fresh out of the oven. My favourites are definitely the nut and chocolate chip varieties. Their desserts in general are very good, which is only let down by their exceedingly slow service. Overall it's an okay place to go for food, not service. 70%.
Michael Lotter
One and all the same, but we tried some of their new smoothies for breakfast this morning. The power berry smoothy is great, but the Matcha Green Tea, Mint and Apple frappe is a must... Will stop at M&B every day for one of those!
Anandie
Standard good food and good service. The view of the harbour and Table Mountain is excellent. The new menu with salads and finger foods is great!
Neo Thinane
For the first time i am not pleased with food from Mugg & Bean. They served my food on a dirty plate and after requesting, that my food be put on a clean plate, it still came back dirty. I am very disappointed. Despite how busy they are, they should still make sure that they are serving their customers with clean utensils. However, our waitress was friendly and polite.
Mielle Batliwala
While strolling through the mall at the V&A Waterfront, we came across this place and decided to try it out. At first glance, the menu is HUGE and appetising !! After this, M&B became our comfort place throughout our holiday in SA, when we were hungry and weren't in the mood to experiment !! Great options to choose from and portions are huge, but value for money. Their homemade bottomless lemonade is a must have, as is the breakfast fare.
No matter what time of day, this place never disappoints. A must try for every tourist on holiday in Cape Town.
Natasha Lutz
The best one by far! We had a light lunch here on our first day in cape town. They forgot to add tomato to my toasted cheese and tomato BUT not only did the manager come and apologise. They then gave us another toasted sandwich on the house which my hubby are. Great vibe and we will be back very soon.
Carl Thomas
Mugg and Bean never seems to disappoint me. Whenever we have the cake craving it's the go to spot. Ordered peppermint tart, caramel cheesecake and chocolate caramel cake and all 3 were fresh and delicious. We also ordered the lemonade and ginger beer which I quite enjoyed even though the lemonade reminded me of lemon oros.

Service was excellent as usual. I noticed some of the food items being served to the tables around us and they looked really good. Should go there for a meal.Julie-Anne Thomas

I can't really comment on their actual food as I've always been to scared to try it, I imagine mugg and bean as a place you go for dessert, which is what I did. The staff were super helpful in aiding me find the cake slice for me, we decided on the smores cake, chocolate sponge covered in orgasmic vanilla icing topped with melted marshmallow. While waiting I had a perfectly made rooibos latte, but the cake was a bit slow to come hence the lower rating. Other than that, it was absolutely amazing as usual, and I recommend going at night as they tend to want to get rid of their cakes, I had the biggest slice of cake I've ever seen, and I'm not exaggerating.

I like this Mugg & Bean – it’s always pumping with people and I have always had good service and coffee here. It’s a safe choice when you need a break from running around the shops.
Lulama Maswanganyi
Very rude waiters and manager...really hope they dont expose tourists to such behaviour...asked them to add an avocado to my south african breakfast order.they told me its impossible they cant do it.
Hend Amer
Mugg & Bean is a favorite for me, my family, and friends. The V&A warefront enjoys an exceptional position by the harbour with a beautiful view. The menu satisfies most tastes and their dessert is delicious
Emile Doubell
I'm pretty much a regular at any Mugg & Bean. I've had the pies and the wraps and the burgers etc etc all good and so on and so forth but his time round I went for a caramel cheesecake. Let's just say I had to take it away because it was that big! As delicious as it was, it was enough to share with a friend in all honesty. It's rich and creamy and just so darn good. Really really good.
Bronwyn Coltman
Always a firm favourite! You know when you enter that you're always going to get great food and a big mug of their trademark coffee! Their eggs benedict is definitely the one to beat with its silky smooth hollandaise.
Overcomingmom
Great views. We sat outside which was helpful for a busy toddler. Service was fine food well presented and tasty. Yummy milo coffees and the hot chocolate selection looked great x
Jodie Wolmarans
We waited for 10mins for a waiter to assist us and after we got our food our waiter didn't check on us once or ask if we require anything else, food was great but service not too great.
Sarita Kerber
Mugg & Bean never disappoints. The new hot chocolate selections are amazing. I had the chocolate fudge brownie hot chocolate and it was so tasty and warmed me right up. The food is always good.
Sydney King
I am not a huge fan of this franchise but I had never tried this branch before. My stepmother was served a horrific raw and old croissant TWICE. the salads are also a rip off, mostly lettuce. However our waiter was very friendly and helpful.
Ashleigh B
I had previously heard that this was the worst MnB out of the chain. The first time I went there, the service was pretty bad and the waiters were swamped by the number of people they had to take care of. I've been since then and the service has improved, it just often depends on what time of day you're there. They also seem to run out of things (no fresh juices, no breakfast items etc)
Marentia Van Kasterop
Good location at the V&A waterfront. Nice to have the view of Table Mountain. The service was average and they definitely do not serve the best patato chips in town......
Jenn Eloff
Service was shocking. I was so angry I refused to tip. The waitress never came to our table to replenish drinks and she brought two people's meals and the other two had to watch them eat and almost finish their meals before the remaining orders arrived. It's not only your food that brings customers, it's the whole experience. My experience sucked. I also think they are way over priced for what they serve.
Jenevieve Fabre
Really loved the warmth and service tonight.
I ordered a chai steamer and asked for a shot of espresso... It was so delicious and the best part, it was HOT! I am very fussy, and only drink hot beverages... It was truly, delicious
Clive Goodheart
I used to frequent this M&B regulary but honestly find the level of service and food has gone from bad to worse recently. My wife and I visited Saturday morning and we were both famished. My wife ordered her normal anchovy toast and a medium orange juice. I asked for a cup for the bottomless coffee and ordered a classic benedict. After 5 minutes I still hadn't received my cup so I got up to ask for one.....already a bit frustrated. Eventually my benedict came and on the first bite I realised the english muffin was not toasted at all and was just soggy.....so i sent it back and also reminded that I liked my eggs soft. My wife had already finished her toast by now and I was so famished I was beyond frustrated. Eventually the benedict came and to my horror while the muffin was toated the eggs were hard! I was now fed up so just told the waiter I am not paying for it and asked for the bill, paid for what we had and left. I was left to order a take away from somewhere else. Management needs to jack up the kitchen as in all honesty I don't think I will return for a while, there are much nicer places at the V&A where the service and food is better.

When I saw this advertisement in my newsfeed I knew I had to go out and try it. I went to Vangate which was the closest Mugg and Bean to me and to my horror I found myself staring at an empty store as they had closed down. Then, I proceeded to Canal walk but was so pressed for time I couldnt even get to MnB. Eventually being at The Waterfront I finally found myself outside MnB and almost ran in.

I didnt even want to look at the menu. "A red Velvet Hot Choclate please and no I dont want anything to eat". My friend ordered a Cuppachino.
I guess I was kind of upset as it was just false advertising and after a long day I had a pounding headache to such an extent that I actually had to hold my head to stop it from exploding. I took my first spoonful and smiled. OMG!!! It tastes just like Red Velvet!!! Suddenly I was less upset.

Ooh and the Cuppachino gets served with two little cookies. So cute.
Im not sure if it was because I had too many sweet things throughout the day but after I got halfway through my cuppa it started becoming monotonous and I Couldnt finish.
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Ashleigh Morgan Henning
Good little spot that is situated on the water front, allowing for great views of the harbour, but is set all the way to the side which makes it a mission to get to. Friendly service and speedy service. Typical mugg and bean menu with great coffee and cakes. Good decor and outside seating.
