Review Seabreeze Fish & Shell - Cape Town

We didn’t book a table but were able to be seated outside. Service was great! The manager Noble was a gem. The oysters were fresh and the drinks were yummy and half price 😉 Now for the food… I had the pasta and it was divine, my love had the fish and chips and we had the prawn tacos. It was all really good!

Great and unassuming restaurant. Quaint exterior and surprisingly elegant and tasteful interior (pun intended). The team was friendly and efficient with their service, the atmosphere was perfect for the decor and the food was wonderful. On my list for a follow-up visit.

In a city of great restaurants, this one stood out. I think it was the excellent service with much humour and good vibes from Tracy and Joseph, or perhaps the fabulous wine served with great gusto and wit from Blessings. But let‘s not forget the food THE FOOD!!!!! Squid ink tagliatelle better than anything I‘ve had in Italy. Well better than anything anywhere actually. In a fortnight of food, wine and excellent hospitality, this place was our stand out favourite. Thanks to all of you from your Scottish friends. I hope we‘ll be back.

Great atmosphere! Super fresh fish and shellfish! Terrific service! Nice preparations with great vegetables! Plus happy hour with half price drinks and oysters. So why not 5 stars? My ONLY complaint is that your fish -- whether filet or whole -- is cooked on a flat top grill that's simply not hot enough. Skin isn't properly seared. Tuna steaks aren't properly seared. Nothing is overcooked (which is a great thing), but everything is cooked gently and pale so there's no maillard reaction. I still recommend the place.

Best meal in my S. Africa trip. Well designed dishes with thoughtful flavor pairings! Even the common Hake & chips was so well cooked and flaky! Eggplant chips and octopus atchar were special and delish! 👍keep it up!

We were lucky to get the last walk-in table for a Sunday! Chilli-soy flavoured oyster is a must try as a starter if you are looking for something different. We had surf& turf and squid ink pasta, both of which were amazing. And I recommend the Apple crumble cheesecake! (P.S for someone longing for some spicy food abroad, their chilli paste is very good!)

Amazing diner experience!! The food was amazing, from the oysters to the Cape Malay mussels and ceviche. Our waitress and the whole staff were very welcoming and helpful. We came here to celebrate our recent wedding and they had prepare some thoughtfull surprises. Everything that makes a memorable night!

This restaurant is definitely the best place I have been to in Cape Town. The service was great, super friendly and attentive. The food was really very good, lovely oysters and both dishes we had were excellent. Then the desert…. Wonderful apple crumble cheesecake. That was so good one could cry. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!

Dined in and had a really wonderful experience. Our waiter Zanele was lovely and gave us a fast and friendly experience. We had oysters which were really fresh and delicious, the mains were tasty too, the best tartar sauce ever! The drinks menu is mainly focused on bubbly but they do have beer and spirits as options. We wanted cocktails which weren’t on the menu but the barman prepped them for us. I really appreciated that! They were also priced decently. The general ambience of the space is well lit, not noisy and there’s a sitting area outside. It seemed most people preferred outside on that warm night.

This location was simply amazing! The owner came over gave us a wine tasting and selection, all of the workers were fun to chat too and looked genuinely happy to help you and serve. The food was top tier, we ordered a few appetizers and loved all of them and the main course was even better.

The ostrich is tender and cooked to perfect. The Prawn Toast is a must have. But most importantly, the costumer service is Impeccable. The extensive knowledge of wine, coupled with constant Gorgeous smiles and team work made out experience, TOP TIER. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. We may go again tomorrow.

Such fortunate serendipity. Found this place on Google while looking for a place to wait for my friend in Bree Street. It's located in upper Bree which is quiet and calm during the day. This restaurant hands down has the best Oysters I've ever tasted so far in Cape Town. I also had the octopus and atchar starter which blew me away. Such good food, such good service. Can't wait to come again. The only down side is that they only have one cider in their alcohol menu.

Second time here and still my favorite restaurant in South Africa. Seafood heaven AND fantastic service… the second part really cannot be understated. As a solo traveler, the staff made me feel at home. Very uncommon in SA. If there were more than five stars available I would give it. It is a little pricey, but not too bad… given the quality of food and service… a meal worth having. While all the food was delicious… the fish cakes with smoked salmon was to die for. A must have when coming here…

the best fish i've ever tasted in my life. it's chewy but soft at the same time. you can taste the sweet from the fish cos it's super fresh. i had an amazing experience there.

The place is cool and has a great vibe. The menu is good, but disproportionately limited in comparison to the lenghty wine list and drinks menu. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, but not quite eager. The food was quite delicious and beautifully presented. We did have a small issue with our cutlery; the tables were laid with fish knives, which makes sense, as it is a seafood restaurant, but these knives were incapable of cutting some of the vegetables served with our food. A little awkward.

Newly reopened after a revamp this seafood focused restaurant is a well priced and wholesome offering you could eat at every week. Lovely mussles and grilled whole fish and surf and turf options. It was their first week after re opening, so there was only 1 dessert option, which was cheesecake so I look forward to seeing some more options on that front!

A solid seafood restaurant, I had the oyster and the game fish of the day. Was able to walk in on a Sunday without reserving.

One of the best dining experiences in the city right now. Great food, a good atmosphere and fantastic FRIENDLY service. Try the White Fish with Crispy Mussels and wash it down with a Dirty Mojito.
