You need to go to this place really hungry. The burgers are a must, and they are really, really big. The American diner style also gives it a great feel and good experience. You do have to wait a while for food though.

Pleasant meal. Casual dining. Friendly and attentive waitress. Decent burger. Above avg size. Good experience. Restaurant was very quiet but that meant quick turn around time on food, so I can't complain.

Waitress took about 30 mins to address us, but the food was made within minutes and was delicious. Very kind, but incapable waitress. Food made up for the lack of knowledge. Manager seemed like a cool lady. I enjoyed the experience

We both had the "biggest burger in town" with onion rings, fries and Greek salad. The burgers were big indeed but the buns fell apart and the topping were awks. Only two onion rings were served! The fries were below average. The Salat was everything else but fresh. We will never pop up there again.

Well I'm writing this one from the bathroom 🚽... Went to sauls this evening for a burger and chips with onion rings, didn't eat the onion rings and chips as it tasted like they used very old oil...burger was very average at the time but now I feel it has upset my stomach, service and vibe were cool tho. But NO I will not be going here anytime soon, nor can I recommend anyone else does.<br/><br/>Just my personal experience guys.<br/><br/>#TOILETPAPERBILL

We arrived in Cape Town at midnight from Johannesburg and were starving - we drive around and found Sauls (it was open 24 hour) and decided to go in.<br/><br/>They have some nice pieces of artwork and photography handing on the walls, very funky music and an very welcoming manager.<br/><br/>The pizza was not too bad but tasted like it was coated in butter?! <br/><br/>Overall okay-ish but I wouldn't go back.

I haven't been here for ages. So this review is a bit dated.<br/>But driving past the other night I was transported to my youth and drinking and eating at times that nobody should have.<br/><br/>The place had a purpose. <br/>It was to serve those that had past the devils hour and were up to mischief.<br/>its not the kind of place I would have taken my folks.<br/><br/>unless of course my folks had just committed a crime like murder and wanted to have a quick snack before disposing the body.<br/><br/>These days we have more and more options on places we can eat late at night...so im going to go back there soon with some friends and do a fair new review

We used to really enjoy this place, but it seems that every time we come the menu is different! We used to always get the big Saul's burger, but it comes a little different each time. It isn't bad, we just like to know what to expect when we make plans to go eat somewhere.

Absolutely shocking! Do not order food here. I went after hearing of their renowned burgers - The burgers were drenched in garlic, patty tasted a bit funky and left me feeling ill. If you absolutely must eat, go to the McDonald's across the road.

OMW.....what has happened to Saul's saloon!! I hadn't been there for a while but this used to be my favourite burger joint but regret to say that under new management apparently, it has gone down. My friends and I met up last night and we all commented how bad the food was. I had a chili dog which was just a big slop and revolting. All the rest had beef burgers which were so dry that my one buddy couldn't even finish it and beleive me, he loves burgers. The patties had little or no basting?? Help......bring back the old standards!! The only thing which was good was the choc shakes.Management....please take this review as a warning that something needs to be done.

Yesterday my friend ordered spare-ribs which turned out to be absolutely terrible. I have never seen anything like that on a plate before. Burnt, dry, fibrous, inedible meat like it had been re-heated from the day before. We sent it back and the quite rude "manager" still made us pay for it! A rip-off, we will never go back and warn everyone!

I entered a hamburger eating competition here. A 5 or 6 patty burger arrived and you mute at eat in a limited amount of time. It was the grossest burger that I have ever tried to eat. The patties were dried out and no amount of ketchup could help me. I wanted to throw up. Obviously it was a competition but give the competitor a chance by serving an edible burger. I left defeated and nauseous.

We ended up at Sauls grill in sea point after a late night out <br/>The place was still bustling at 12am and we were promptly seated and offered a draught beer which was strange for a 24hr establishment <br/>The menu had many great burger options and i was suspicious they would be able to make a good burger at this time of the morning<br/>We ordered a plain cheese burger to which the waiter asked how we would like it done , again very surprising for such a place <br/>The burger was absolutely fantastic and the patties homemade , i would recommend this 24hr establishment to anyone looking for some grub in the early hours of the morning
