Best value asain in Cape town. Very wide variety, at outstanding prices. The sushi is definitely above average,I recommend the bamboo handrolls and the deep fried California rolls.
The dim sum is pleasant, and the duck pancakes a must have.
Atmosphere and decor not the best, but the food and friendly service more then makes up for it.
Phad Thai is quite a dark dingy little restaurant at the bottom of Long Street, and it has a typical mismatched Asian restaurant vibe when you enter.
Looks aside, we came here for a very highly recommended Phad Thai dish from a Capetonian friend. I'm glad we did, because the Chicken Phad Thai we ordered was delicious. Just the right sweet and salty flavour with tender noodles and peanutty goodness. Plus the portion was ginormous, enough to share between two.
I also had the Coconut Chicken soup which had quite a nice flavour and an extreme spicy kick. We ordered the Siu Ma dumplings which were a bit dry and quite average.
I would definitely recommend coming here for the Phad Thai and the affordability. The ambience might not be there but the food and company we had made up for that.
Omg this is my favourite place of all time... best sushi we have ever had! And we always come back for more... feels like Christmas in your mouth :)

Phad Thai is a little restaurant at the bottom of long street and personally, I feel like it is the perfect place to go on a dinner date. It has a nice and cosy atmosphere with it's romantic dim lighting.
The staff was amazing, very friendly and incredibly efficient without being overly attentive. Our food came out incredibly quickly and was awesomely scrumptious, but not the best sushi I've ever had. The dumplings were okay (didn't really like the dough but the chicken was yummy) and the Won Ton's were also tasty.
All in all, I had a really pleasant evening and I'd recommend bringing your date here one night.
I've only had good service and great sushi here. Perfect for a quick bite with friends after work. Don't expect a 5 star establishment but don't judge the book by its cover. Great value for money as well. I'm always back!
If you've ever been to Thailand.. you know what Phad Thai tastes like, this is as close to it as you going to get.. and the best value for money around :) R65 for enough to feed a family of 4.. my first thought when I feel like a Thai dish 😆
Unassuming venue but has probably some of the finest Sushi in Cape Town. And at such a reasonable price, it's almost criminal. Definitely one of cape town's best kept secrets.
Been to phad thai a few times an the sushi is amazing my favorite is the chefs special. It is very affordable as they have a half price special
Value for money....friendly staff....Excellent sushi. We will be back. Calming atmosphere.... Central Cape Town. Not the fanciest location, worth a visit you will be surprised by the quality
Absolutely love coming here for sushi. Not the fanciest place but they have excellent prices, an interesting sushi selection and friendly staff. Excited to see they added dim sum to the menu.
Best sushi I've had in Cape Town so far! Everything was perfect, the wait staff friendly and it helped that it was a beautiful night for sitting outside. Definitely making this my regular. Plus they often tend to play some classic 90s tunes, got to love some Britney and NSync as you're tucking in!

Defnitely THE best Sushi in the whole of Cape Town. I have a take away atleast once a week.
Amazing sushi, in a bit of a dive. Have the Chef's special (basically the same as Willoughby's Rockshrimp tempura calfornia rolls but half the price).
Walking into the restaurant I expected bad food and worse service and we almost turned around and walked away. The ambiance is not exactly 5 star dining and we even made fun of their slogan " Best Thai food and Sushi Bar", saying it was probably the best Thai food on this side of Long Street.
Boy were we all surprised when the food arrived. Presentation was good but the taste was out of this world. A fantastic spin on Thai cuisine and probably the best I've had.
Service was also great with friendly staff and no long waits to get our food.
I'm actually glad the restaurant setting was not 5 star since that makes the prices quite affordable.

This was our our 1st night in Cape Town, SA we came to long street and found this restaurant. We were welcomed greatly. We ordered Red curry. Dish, spring rolls, stir fried fish. Wow Great test and fantastic service.
I will recommend any time. Will always come back.

Nice food, a lot in the plate for a very decent price and nice service.
Definitely my top of the list sushi spots. Looks abit dingy && not very appealing on the eye. But there sushi definitely makes up for that.
Best Sushi in town at affordable price, the Chef's Special is outstanding as well as the Rice Noodle
