Great experience dining in this trendy spot. Pleasant and helpful staff, delicious vegan and vegetarian food. The only bug bear is, they don't accept cash, for some nonsensical reason!

Very good and friendly service from locals, for once. Pretty much a regular vida vibe save the music... There was no music, just soft quiet ambience from kloof street. I would go again...

The service here is good, friendly staff and it has a nice atmosphere to it. I would recommend this spot if you visit Capetown. (Clean & Safe)

Friendly staff and great food.

They have gluten-free Toasties here that use delicious gluten-free bread. They also use Butta Nut oat milk, which is registered gluten-free. What's more, every time we've gone in to this location the staff are very kind, friendly, and efficient. They also went above and beyond by taking a request from my wife to prepare her Toastie dairy-free- senza cheese and without toasting it with butter. Bravo, Vida e Caffè!

What an amazing place. This morning has been really hard for me. I have training with a marketing company until 3 and a meeting in Kloof street for an au pair position at 3:30. And because I stay in Table View I had to find a place with WiFi. But also this morning has been really hard. On my way here my mom told me that my grandmother passed away. When I arrived at this store the I was in tears with swollen eyes and smashed mascara. I tried to stop myself from crying because vulnerability is just not in my personality but I couldn’t. I immediately felt like I needed a very strong coffee it’s 8:40 in the morning and I had so many questions for God. I wanted see my granny one more time and hug her just a little longer. I was broken. But I tough so hard for this marketing position on top of that I have an au pair interview. Just cause I always have a plan B and a second income never hurts. By the way I’m 7 hours from Grandpas house. And 4 hours from my parents. I felt very alone and sad. The person who helped me said don’t worry everything will be okay as he poor me my coffee. For a moment I refuse to look up. Because I know I look like a clown with my smashed mascara. He poor me my coffee and come walk to the edge of the counter. You beautiful and we makes the best coffee it’s gonna take everything away. I didn’t hear half what he said my brain was in space. I spill the coffee, don’t worry he said I’ll clean it. But here is a cocoa mini slab he said it will make you feel better. Thank you I responded. I already felt better. Surround with great people and the best WiFi. So I made myself comfortable in a soft chair. Well by break time I needed to use the bathroom. But I also couldn’t log out of the zoom as I was log into my training and only a 15 minute break. So he explain we apologize we don’t have the convenience of a bathroom. But you can go up the street 2 minutes walk from here to Engine they have a very clean bathroom. I ask him if he can keep an eye on my laptop. Yes of course no worries he said take your time. I was away about 10/14 minutes. Come back to a laptop and pencils everything just as I left it. Soft calming music in the background with smiling clients. I was just happy that I wasn’t alone today. This is why I love South Africa 🇿🇦. Thanks Vida. I felt very heart soar and alone. You made me feel so much better without knowing it. I’ll definitely come here if I can’t pay my WiFi bill 🤣🤣. A good place yo work from. Clean and neat, considering and friendly. My number 1 for any kind of coffee based drink. I'm allergic to milk, which is not my fault, and they don't charge extra for soy milk, is so nice of them! Meanwhile greedy others do a rip-off, charging for a shot of soymilk like for a half a litre of it, Vida e Cafe does such a nice gesture towards those who for various reasons cannot take cow's milk. Also I love that constantly friendly service at each and every Vida I ever tried. Don't know how did you make it, but it's much appreciated! Obrigado!

I love to get my vitality rewards from this place. The dirty chai is my absolute favorite. The shop is cute and very cozy. It's also very nice to sit outside on a warm day and enjoy your drink

I want to commend Michelle of Vida Kloof for making up for there mistake with my order, by having it hand delivered to me, after her team messed up our order. Things do go wrong, but it's the way we handle these issues that's important. Thank you, Michelle.

The customer service is really great. The baristas were friendly and though they didn't need to, one of them came to my car to give me some money that I dropped👍

Vida always has great service and a fun and funky vibe. Coffee is just a little pricey!

In and out and the quickest service is guaranteed!! The staff are so well-trained and friendly! Love going here in the mornings and getting my warm or cold treats! The chai latte is fab and so is the iced coffee! All with a free Lindt choc.

Had a  truly terrible experience here not to long ago with a friend. The person who took my order seemed to be very rude and abrupt. On top of that they didn't even get my order right. You've seen one I would say you've seen them all. That being said it doesn't mean that it's a bad café. Actually it's quite nice with Portuguese pastel de Nata and other things from my country. The expresso or, as they call it, the bullet was the closest thing I've tried to the old bica - expresso - that we drink in Lisbon in any average coffee shop. Nice the bit of home feeling.

The coffee stays great, but the patrons are incompetent and rude towards customers placing orders.

Great coffee always love the dark chocolate treat you get with it. If Vida E could just make a low carb option I would eat there all the time. I do however under stand the image of being a artisan pastry

Super great Vida in Gardens - friendly staff and super clean and vibey.<br/><br/>They also are super quick and it's a lovely spot for some work, or light reading or just that coffee fix when you need it.<br/><br/>Their food looked lovely too, and all the sweet stuff like the brownies were super fresh.

Hubby and I popped in here after going grocery shopping and will definitely be my new go to place. We ordered the mocha and latte and a brownie and croissant. They were all ok but the thing that stood out most is the very friendly, cheerful staff. Will be going back here every month for when I do grocery shopping!

Not really my favourite vida because of parking mostly. For the 25min that i was instore it was quite busy. Service was great as youd expect from any vida. Had a croissant which was nice but not the best ive tasted.

Economist use the MacDonalds index to contextualise the value of different currencies in different countries. I use the Vida index to see the effect inflation has had on my purse. When I started buying single skinny lattes at Vida, I paid R10,50. The price has almost doubled in 10 years! But still my preferred way to start a work morning... The food offering at Vida has however become a big let down. My pet hate is when sandwiches are made with the incorrect ratio between bread and filling. I often have to thrown out the top half of my breadroll to get the ratio right. It is stingy and cheap to skimp on filling! And against the energy and generosity of the Vida barristas who are the stars of the show. And always flirt!

The place that started the Cape Town coffee culture. Unfortunately they have not kept up with the times. Your coffee will be bitter but at least you get a chocolate to keep you sweet. You will still see some 90's wannabes hanging around but the coffee is average. Some of the pastries are ok and you get to high five a barista.
