Great place but I feel they could've done with at least one extra server as they were all run of their feet with many tables having to wait a little longer than the probably expected. That aside, staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee was a great kick start to the day!!

Absolutely hands down the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten! I mean it was really that good…
The base was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with just the right amount of cheese on top.
We ordered the carrot cake and cheesecake to go and it was divine too!
Worth every cent and will definitely be back for more 😊

While the food is absolutely delicious & great for those with allergies, they have a theft issue.
There have been multiple instances where a “couple” comes in, sits momentarily or checks out the bar, and then leaves without purchase and WITH other people’s belongings. Although the staff knows the patterns and what to look for, they are unable to “profile” anyone - thus the crime apparently cannot be stopped.
Like I said, the food is great, but be very careful with your purse, or cellphone, or any other belongings that would be considered of value.

Read some of the other reviews and always interesting to see how opinions can differ. Our experience with Step Brothers restaurant was exceptional!
Booked on a Sunday afternoon via Whatsapp (how convenient) with no issues. Giono even told us they had fresh tuna so we opted for the Ceviche appetizer. Stunning!
Our main courses included a mix of specials and standard menu items and they were all excellent. Even the kids finished their meals which says a lot.
Although all the food was excellent the standout dish for us was Nonna's Rosette. It was superbly prepared and absolutely divine!! It is definitely a must try but then again so were all the other dishes we had....hard choices.
Service was good but I can imagine that it can be slightly 'off' on busy nights. My suggestion; if you want a quieter, quicker & more peaceful experience pick a weekday/night. Creating those magical dishes will take time but it will be worth the wait.
Overall definitely some of the best Italian cuisine we had in Cape Town!!

We were here for late dinner and it was simply fabulous.
We had the melanzane parmigiana, which came in a generous portion and Mark’s meatballs with spaghetti - didn’t quite understand why the spaghetti were broken, but pasta is pasta - as long as it is perfectly cooked and al dente.

We were invited to my granddaughters birthday. Friendly service, smiling staff and a very sociable owner. Enjoyed the evening to the fullest. Will recommend them anytime.

Great restaurant with delicious food. Nice location in Bantry Bay but it’s quite difficult to find parking. I had Nonna’s Rosette - it was very tasty. The service was fantastic and the drinks were good too.

For our end-of-year event, my coworkers and I headed to Step Brothers Restaurant and Bar.
We couldn't have made a better choice for a dining location. The lighting is ideal, and they showed the unforgettable Morocco vs. Spain game on a big screen TV that was strategically situated.
The cuisine was excellent, and I really liked the decadent chocolate cake that was presented with ice cream.
Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, the owner always made sure we were taken care of and comfortable.
I'm going to try Ukiyo upstairs the next time.
