A fantastic vida e caffé on the corner. It's well spaced out and one can sit inside or outside, or take you beverage to go. They have a good selection of hot beverages and small snacks like biscuits etc. The staff at this branch was friendly and super efficient. Parking can be a issues after all it is Cape Town CBD however not impossible. Best to walk there.

Convenient spot in town to stop and grab a coffee and something to eat even before 8am. The store is large and offers ample space to sit down inside and people watch. Roeland Street is busy with foot traffic, and most times, it's also congested with cars, so finding parking to grab a coffee on the go can be challenging. The store is clean, tables and serving area clean.
I found that the service is friendly, but slow. Normally the employees at Vida are high energy and things happen quickly, but not at this Vida.

Very friendly staff and of course excellent coffee. The service here is a little slower than other stores, but possibly this is as a result of fewer staff members because of social distancing requirements. I would recommend this store.

Literally the worst service I've encountered in Cape Town. Brutish and rude to myself and fellow customers. Barked out sounds that seem to have been intended to be words to us. Became aggressive when I asked his name (which he didn't want to give to me). Grime and dust on the serving counter looks worse than a spaza shop counter in Adderly street. Center of the overpriced, horrendous little spinach-feta quiche was still frozen. Truly disgusted! Vida Roeland - hope you die a sudden but effective death with the rapid rise of this awesome area.

Great branch, great location and good selection of coffees on offer. While on lunch break during an internship, we all came here (about 10 students). Service was speedy and efficient - we all received our coffees together with little wait. It's really quiet inside though - despite there being tables to sit at, it seems like most people just order to go.

Every time I order a toasted sandwich from this vida it is always a huge disappointment. I have no idea who is checking on the quality of the kitchen but it doesn't seem like anyone us! For example...in a rush today, order a sandwich, get back to the office and its a half day old, dry toasted ham, cheese and tomato with no tomato...obviously I don't have time to go back. Every time its some excuse that they don't have stock so they just sell you whatever they can russle up. And I paid R40 for that??!! So over this place!

Was here a few weeks ago. Disgusting service and terribly rude staff members. I will never be back. This is a pity considering it's very convenient location in the City Bowl. A man ran in, saying a colleague just outside has been hurt and did they have a first aid kit and some bandages to quickly patch him up with before taking him to hospital - the guys behind the counter just stared at him blankly and grudgingly fave him roller towel when he asked again.

My besties and I visit this branch often as its closest with our campus building being in Roeland street. Its alway easy going. The staff is always great and the They make a mean hot choclate. I love the little snacks they sell and highly recommend the Oats and yogurt things they have going for an early breakfast. I especially love that they open at 6am so I can get to town early, finish assignments with the free wifi(yeeeeah!) and sip on my mocha lovin'. Perfect for a cathup with your honey and your besties.
