Review Yours Truly - Cape Town Central

Had lunch and ordered a sandwich. The sandwich was great. Really nothing much to complain. We also had a Hot Dog which was also really tasty ( a little too salty but still good ). There are both outdoors and indoor sitting and is a great place to escape the heat.

What a lovely vibe. Even though they are traditionally a bar their coffee is delicious. I am in love with the dark wood and lots of indoor plants decor. I am watching watching starlings in the windowsill snacking on some of the succulents.

Great spot for a quick coffee or meeting friends later for a drink. Excellent pizzas!

It's a great hang out spot, always a vibe. I just don't like their house wine and I think I that's probably a personal thing for me. But being there you meet a colorful crowd which is always a great time

Loved this NY style bar deli... I had my birthday breakfast there and wow did the food amaze.. My wife and I still talk about the food. Great atmosphere.. Great coffee.

Yay, how fun is it to drink a beer with your friends? Amazing fun, and it's been way too long. Lots of other places are still closed because covid. Yours truly isn't closed and it's a great bar with lovely staff and having Friday afternoon drinks there made my month.

Cool vibe, they made me a Mos ow mule even though its not on the menu. It's really hard to get places in Cape Town to mix you a drink. Love the vibe. A great after work spot. They sometimes have a dj, the one they had wasn't to our tastes. Otherwise it was great.

An unhalaal little restaurant with a garden setting theme going on.<br/>The outdoor seating area is well shaded with trees and decored with many plants. I enjoyed the tranquil feeling while sipping on some after on tea.<br/>I could not eat any of their food so decided to have a green tea - you cant get green tea wrong so theres not much to say on that. A friend tried the ice coffee which was very bitter and too strong.<br/>The staff are friendly and the restaurant is quite vibey.<br/>

Yours Truly is such a vibey cafe with amazing coffee. It is a great place for lunch or after work drinks. When you are inside it doesn’t feel like you are on the side of a busy street.

So the operating times on here are wrong. Walked in around 6:40am, expecting the place to be open for breakfast and unfortunately was told that they only open at 7am. <br/><br/>However, whom I assume to be the manageress advised that they could serve us coffee in the meanwhile while setting up. Was super happy they could help out with my much needed morning coffee. <br/><br/>We then waited until 7am and asked for menus and whether we could place an order for breakfast already. They then advised that the kitchen still needed about 10-15min to set up. 😢<br/><br/>We then decided to settle our bill and grab a takeaway breakfast elsewhere. <br/><br/>

The wine situation is lovely not the wine itself but how affordable it is is great .however, that's about all that's good about the place I ordered a pizza and it came with missing topping which I was not informed about before hand . The pizza was just poorly done over cooked and on top of that the service was terrible😒.... now I only go there for drinks that's it .

Small cafe in the city center, they never get the Yours Bluely salad wrong. A nice vibey spot for a quick lunch/coffee. Staff is friendly and efficient. Beautiful interior design with the plants and prints on the wall. Music is also funky and fitting to this place. Great for drinks too and on First Thursdays.

Food is good but has gotten abit pricey lately for some reason??Really epic place in middle of the hustle and bustle of town.. fairy lights are so GORGEOUS !! 🌸🙏🏻

Love the fact that they have reward card to get every 10th coffee free.. love the fact that their prices are ao reasonable, and furthermore is the interior gorgeous and staff friendly

I remember popping in to have something light whilst in the CBD. I ordered the bagel, it was okay nothing to write home about, it definitely was smaller than expected, bit other than that, it's a really vibrant spot and enjoyed my experience.

Yours Truly is one of the cutest spots in Cape Town. With great views overlooking the table mountain. The plants add great flare to the restaurant's interior design. Their coffee ☕ is always great. Their drink menu is good and there staff are friendly. They're food is great but value for money is not one thing on they're agenda.

I must have just been there on a busy night but the service was not what I would expect. Granted I was apart of a big table but two meals arrived quickly but the rest of our meals arrived about 45 minutes later. I've heard such wonderful things about this place but I would not suggest it for a big group gathering unless you have booked out the top floor. <br/><br/>I would say it's perfect for a couple of drinks and then moving onto another restaurant for food with waiters if you are in a group larger than 4. <br/><br/>Great decor and ambiance and loved the music!

Enjoyed food and vibe but service was very patchy. Had to ask for drinks menu several times and never received glass of wine that I ordered. Bathrooms have no soap or soap dispensers!!!!! Makes you wonder how the staff wash their hands surely his place can do better if managed properly

A great spot for some after work drinks - always festive, great atmosphere, plenty of cool people and a decent drinks selection. A favourite watering hole!

Look there's nothing wrong with this place, in the same way that there's nothing wrong with a can of Heineken or a Woolworth sandwich or unsalted cardboard; it's a genteel enough location to stop over in between art galleries or pop-up stores or whatever, and you know what you're going to get. But this used to be A Colour Red, which was quiet and small and there were never any DJs there or okes having meetings about podcasts and I didn't go there very much, but it was nice to know that I could. Now all we've got is a clone-stamped bit of Kloof Street. That's fine; Kloof Street is nice. But I miss the old place that I didn't go to very often.

Fresh bakes, and really yummy sandwiches. My favourite is the Salami, Brie and Avo on ciabatta. A whole lot of goodness in one sandwhich. Oh, and awesome coffee. Also, pop in on Thursday and Friday nights for some cool Dj sets.

Went to Yours Truly on loop to celebrate a friend's birthday. Good and friendly bar service, with a nice variety of drinks. I also ordered a pizza for dinner and was quite impressed - nice thin crispy bases!

I've been here on a Friday evening in summer when DJs play and the party fever is infectious and the drinks are flowing. I've also been there on a relatively quiet and wintery Thursday when the only answer to the cold weather was whisky. Every time I've enjoyed the service. They have an extensive drinks menu and a food menu that has something to satisfy everyone.

I asked for a gin and tonic and got a gin and spill.?<br/><br/>I used to love all three of the Yours Trluy's and would not think twice to go to one for a coffee or pre-dink and pizza. However, after yesterday's experience much of my feelings have changed for this reputable hipster joint.<br/><br/>This very strange and hostile experience I won't easily shake off.<br/><br/>So, two of my girl friends and I sat inside at one of the booths for a post exam lunch. <br/><br/>The waiter was quite flirty and interrupted my friend as she ordered to tell her 'Oh wow,I like your eyes". <br/><br/>Then the same waiter came to serve the drinks. First, he gave my friends theirs with a wink ,then I watched him pour my tonic water , while apparently whispering to one of my friends "watch this " as he moved his hand towards me and deliberately emptied the can of tonic onto my lap ! I shook it off with surprise and disgust ,then he acted sorry and apologized as I sat with now wet hands and wet stains on my light-blue jean. Then he walked off without bringing a napkin or anything of sorts??. What kind of customer service? I understand the cold and hostile snob-tactic of coffee bars but this is unjustifiable. Not to mention they took forever to bring our simple sandwiches.<br/><br/>The view was fantastic and avo was generous but service is everything.:(<br/><br/>P.S. If you permit your staff to hit on customers teach them how to do it without scaring away the friends, this was so not smooth.

I expected more from their coffee honestly, but it's such a vibe. I haven't had this branches food but this is a hipsters paradise no doubt

Wandered into Yours Truly for lunch and it was packed to the brim with people from all walks of life. This tiny space definitely needs to be a tiny bit bigger. <br/>Service was really quick - ordered my cappuccino and food at the counter and practically received it 5 minutes later from a beaming waiter. My simple cheese & tomato sandwich with sesame bun was very delicious. The coffee was also quite lovely. If you're around the area, stop by for a quick sandwich, but try to wait for a good seat inside because the seating outdoors is a little dodgy.

Wandered into this little gem while strolling through the CBD. It is sunny and inviting, and very hip. The staff are friendly and efficient. It wasn't until after sitting down that we even realised this is another Yours Truly! What a surprise, considering we have had unpleasant experiences at the one on Kloof. This YTC is like a breath of fresh air in comparison! I had the guava rose water iced tea, which is hand shaken by the barman and it was delicious!

Great vibe, great food and I love the music played by the DJ's. Problem you ask? Not the first time this has happened and I'm sure it won't be the last. I was there on first Thursday, ordered a drink from the bar (a male bartender, paid immediately, with a tip I might add), a bit later I did the same (also a male bartender), my 3rd time at the bar I noticed my bill was higher than the previous times, so I asked for a printout of the slip and THE FEMALE BARTENDER HAD VERY NICELY GIVEN HERSELF A R45 TIP. The bill was R145. Stealing from your customers????Makes me wonder how often this occurs to the more intoxicated customers.  I did get the bartenders name but I won't put it on a public forum. Awesome vibe, everyone there is soooooo chilled. I created my pizza with chicken, avocado, peper dew and cream. Thanks to me and the chef of course it was incredible. <br/><br/>FYI: if you want food you should order down stairs at the counter, you'll be given a number and your food will brought to you. Don't say I didn't warn you. <br/>Personally I think if you could order from a waiter/waitress there will be less congestion but with that said the guys and gals that work there a friendly.

Had an espresso and a chocolate croissant this morning. Drove by on the bus and got off early to go here just because it looked so beautiful. Inside, lovely lovely lovely. Great, friendly service. Awesome music all the way through. I could spend a lot of time here. Except the coffee is rubbish. <br/><br/>Then again, the coffee is rubbish pretty much everywhere. But I do wish that wasn't the case. Might only allow myself to go for some liquor once in a while. <br/><br/>I

Great outdoor courtyard, separated from the busy kloof street with lots of greenery, giving it Seclusion and an intimate feel. Menu is simple with sandwiches and salads and you need to place the order at the counter. Because it's attached to the hotel/lodge, there are lots of tourists. Nice vibe but not somewhere I'd sit for long periods.

I've always been a big fan of Yours Truly and the town branch is lovely as well. Very different to the Kloof Street one, but very vibey with the same great food. Had one of their pizzas, which was absolutely amazing, as I've come to expect from Yours Truly pizza. The space is a little smaller so one definitely does need to fight to grab a table but they have lovely little booths that provide a bit of a private and more intimate atmosphere in this busy place.

If the perfect coffee and a quick bite are what you're looking for, look no further than this very venue. It's the latest in the Yours Truly chain, and I have to admit that I'm a fanboy, but the guys holding down the fort at this one do so with the expertise of an artisan.

Great venue, vibe and location. However the sandwiches are seriously underwhelming for a place that only makes sandwiches. If I'm going to pay R60, it better be worth it. The bread wasn't fresh and there was so little filling. Not cool

I love kloof street yours truly but this new spot was super disappointing. Vibe was great (other than the repetition of playlist) but food was a total disaster and we waited at least 40 minutes for our order. Pizza was stone cold, salad had incorrect ingredients from what was asked, as well as the pizza. They did recover by replacing the meals swiftly but there was no recovering from this disaster unfortunately.

Likely to be one of the most stylish corner shops I've come across in Cape Town. <br/><br/>Beautiful, simple design, great lighting and perfectly suited music, all work together to set the platform for a great experience. <br/>Sit and enjoy the atmosphere with a glass of wine and a fresh sandwich. The bread is superb.
